Chapter 23

Sidd is dead? My heart jumped out of me and then dropped back down inside. I didn’t want to think evil. I will run mad.

“Sidd, what are you doing?” I cried holding him close tightly. “Come on, Sidd, don’t die on me, please,” I sobbed bitterly while Ranveer was just concentrating on reaching the hospital at any cost.

“Hey, you are choking me,” Sidd commented and I gave a relieved smile.

I pulled him closer to me. I can’t ever lose Sidd. I will die along with him. When we got to the hospital, Ranveer called the attention of the nurses. They took Sidd inside and then to the operation room while I and Ranveer stayed back.

“Stop crying, Rani, he will be fine,” Ranveer pacified.

I hugged him while still crying.

“Stop crying, okay?” he fondled my hair. “Nothing will happen to him,” he assured.

We both sat down later on while waiting for the doctor to come out of the operating room. The doctor took out the two bullets and treated him. The doctor came out an hour later. I and Ranveer l
