🦋 FELIX 🦋

I watched in horror as Benita stood at the river's edge, her eyes fixed on the water below.

“Stop the car!” I screamed at my driver, kicked the door open, and rushed out of the car even before the car stopped moving, falling to the ground and injuring my knees in the process, but who cares?

Without hesitation, Benita took a deep breath and jumped, her body slicing into the river's surface. I screamed her name. With bleeding knees, I sprinted towards her, my heart racing with fear.

“Benita, Don't!” I cried, but she didn't resurface. Panic set in as I realised what was happening. I attempted to plunge into the water, desperation driving me to reach her, but my men held me down.

“No, no, no,” I screamed. It was not the end of the world, but it was the end of my world. “Get her out of there!”

Just then, the sound of sirens filled the area, and policemen held me down to stop me from jumping into the water.

“You see, the person who just jumped in there is my wife,” I explained

  • YOU WILL NEVER BE MY GOD, FELIX.   CHAPTER 117 – SAVING OURSELVES.

🦋 BENITA CELESTINE 🦋“Baby, do you know what a pin is?” I asked Felita, who said nothing and simply jumped around, wearing the same serious expression on her face as I.“We need something like a pin or a little key, it should be able to open the door,” I continued. “I see spies in movies do it.”“What are spies?” Felita asks, searching nowhere in particular for a pin.“They are Jackie Chan… they do strange things, like spying on people, and mostly they work with a secret organization,” I responded, trying to explain the best way I could.“Do they save people?” Felita adds.“Yes, mostly they do,” I blurted out.“Can they save us?” She asked seriously, and I paused.“Unfortunately, not exactly, that’s why we have to save ourselves.”“Mummy… sad?”“Yes, but I’m strong because I have you, you are my strength.”“If I die like daddy did, would you die too?”“Don’t say that, you won’t die, I’ll protect you with my life, because without you and daddy, I’ll go crazy.”“What’s crazy?”“Goliat

  • YOU WILL NEVER BE MY GOD, FELIX.   CHAPTER 116 — THE ANIMAL WE ARE LOCKED WITH 2.

🦋 BENITA CELESTINE 🦋The scent of vanilla and old lace hung heavy in the air, a sweetness that only amplified the current tension. I lay still, my wrists secured to the carved posts of a magnificent four-poster bed with smooth silk scarves. They were tied tightly enough to hurt and render escape impossible.Across the room, standing by the door, was Goliath. He was dressed in a dark, slick shirt, with the sleeves rolled to his elbow."You look beautiful," he said, the words a low, cold vibration that seemed to wrap around me."What happened?" I blurted out, my voice steady, despite the way my heart was beating against my ribs."I hit your head on the wall and you passed out," he countered, pushing away from the door and beginning to cross the polished wooden floor toward me. "Why are you making things hard, Benita? I wasn't going to hurt you. Why do you keep fighting me? Felix is gone! I'm helping you get a good life here. You were his, you are mine now, just like D&D. I own everyth

  • YOU WILL NEVER BE MY GOD, FELIX.   CHAPTER 115 — THE ANIMAL WE ARE LOCKED WITH.

🦋 BENITA CELESTINE 🦋A week has gone by in this hole, and it's beginning to look like Felix is indeed dead. And for that week, there has been no peace, happiness, or even life itself. The police have been unable to find me, and I can only update myself with the news.Stuck in a room, with only Goliath, bringing meals to me and Felita once or twice a day, and locking the room so we wouldn't find a way to leave the room.I've tried picking the lock several times, with my hairpin, needles, or any tiny thing I find, but nothing seems to work like it does in the movies, or maybe I'm just not a professional door lock picker like those smart characters in the movies.Felita hasn't been herself either; she asks me 25 times in 24 hours, “Mummy, where's Daddy? I miss him.”And I can only respond while hiding my tears, “Daddy went on a long trip, baby.”And then she will cry and throw a huge fit about why I didn't let her go with Daddy, and now she misses Daddy so much but can't find him anywh

  • YOU WILL NEVER BE MY GOD, FELIX.   CHAPTER 114 — IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN, THE CHAOS.

🦋 BENITA CELESTINE 🦋“Mr. Felix Desmond, the C.E.O. of D&D corporation, was found dead earlier today at the bottom of a cliff.”My breath hitched, a jagged, broken sound that seemed too loud in the sudden, terrible silence of the room Felita and I were locked in by Goliath. Then, the first tear escaped, hot and defiant, tracing a path through the faint flour dust from the breakfast Goliath left us.Felita, my two-year-old, had been happy after I made her believe Felix was fine; she was stacking colorful wooden blocks on the rug, a soft hum escaping her lips. She’d just managed to balance the wobbly red one on top of the yellow when the sound reached her.I didn’t mean for her to see. I’d tried to hold it in, stuffing the raw edges of my grief and fear down, deep into a place where they couldn't possibly surface. But what I just heard on the news had been the final, brutal straw. Felix, found dead? With no savior coming, no hope of going back to being happy again, the dam had burst.

  • YOU WILL NEVER BE MY GOD, FELIX.   CHAPTER 113 — A NEW SAD BEGINNING.

🦋 BENITA CELESTINE 🦋~ 2 years later ~The New beginning that comes with happiness I had dreamt of vanished as soon as I saw Felix standing on a cliff, with a gun pointed at his head by Goliath.Nikita, Greg, and Scott had been knocked out; they barely agreed to follow us to the place Harper lured us to, and now they had to be part of the victims. She said she wanted to make things right with me, whichever way she could; she said she wanted to try making our family a happy one. She said she wanted to pay for what she did by contributing to our happiness. Harper said so; it turned out she was selling me again, us… to Goliath. He was sentenced to two years in prison, and as soon as he came out of jail, he came to ruin our life, kill Felix, and do God knows what with me.Felita hides behind me, her eyes filled with fear as she watches her daddy get beaten up by a stranger. Her little fist pulled the edge of my gown. “Mummy, I want Daddy, give me Daddy.”There was nothing I could do; if

🦋 BENITA CELESTINE 🦋Celebration filled the room. I watched with half-closed eyes as Greg and Scott stood in front of my baby, and even Nikita jumped out of her hospital bed, ignoring the doctor's warning, just to be with the baby.Only Felix was paying attention to me, my hand wrapped in his as he whispered, “I'll never leave you,” into my ears.I used to be the one saying that word. No, he makes me say them all the time, like an oath.Nikita rushed to my side of the bed. “Are you awake?” She blurted out. “Our baby is soooo cute.”A soft chuckle left my lips, “Just go back to what you were doing, don't bother her,” Felix responded, and Nikita rolled her eyes.“The baby looks just like me,” Scott cried out, and another soft chuckle escaped my lips.“Stupid boy, how can the child look like you? You just want to cause trouble. This child obviously looks like Felix,” Greg attacked.“Don't be so harsh, he was just kidding,” Nikita muttered in understanding.“Holy fucking Molly, did you,
