🦋 BENITA CELESTINE 🦋

Scott was the first to leave after warning everyone to take safety precautions. Then Harper returned to her room. She has barely said a word since I took her with me, and I was beginning to think she didn't want to be here; she's just sad she has nowhere else to go because her father had gone bankrupt, and she didn't want to be used by them or suffer with them.

Felix and I sat across each other, staring at each other, emotionally preparing for the worst.

And Nikita also glanced at Greg from the corner of her eye without saying a word.

“Is something going on with you two?” I blurted out, breaking the silence.

Nikita frowned, standing up to leave until Greg's voice echoed out, “She has been like that after our last kiss,” he announced.

Rolling her eyes, Nikita fired back, “More like swallowed your sneeze.”

“You kissed again?” Felix questioned.

Nikita shook her head, “It was an accident!” She snapped. “I didn't kiss it, I swallowed its sneeze so it wouldn't get us

🦋 FELIX 🦋As the reality of the situation sank in, fear took over. I frantically called Benita's phone, but it went straight to voicemail. I texted her multiple times, begging her to call me back or to at least come home safe. But there was only silence.I had a feeling she was in serious trouble, but I was trying to cling to hope, that tiny hope that she was just somewhere and would come home soon. The waiting was agonising. I paced back and forth, my mind racing with the worst-case scenario, and I felt helpless, useless. All I could do was wait for news, pray that she was safe, and hope that she'd come home to me soon. The hours ticked by like days. I couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. All I could do was think of her, wonder where she was, and pray for her safe return.Hours has gone by and we all sat in silence, I was sitting on the ground, my back against the door, my head resting on my palm, staring into the void, Nikita was also sitting on the ground at the center of the living roo

🦋 FELIX 🦋 I received Nikita's call late at night. She was panicking and yelling something about Benita not being back from a bad idea fun they went to have in an amusement park on Harper's idea, which was very foolish of them, by the way.And she really made sure she stressed Harper's name, so I took note of it, and I immediately called Scott to report the issue. Now, I'm driving with my hands tightened on the steering wheel, mind filled with thoughts of Benita and my already traumatised mental health thrown out the car window.I can only hope this is just Nikita being paranoid and nothing is actually wrong with Benita Celestine, but the chances are slim, aren't they?I got to Benita's apartment as soon as I could, and Nikita rushed out. At first, I thought she was going to embrace me, which was totally weird. Nikita is heartless; she doesn't know about emotional feelings. I would have compared her to a psycho, but she’s considerate and has empathy a little bit and just like I thou

🦋 NIKITA 🦋I hate when things get like this, when I'm being serious about having a bad feeling about something, and people just don't listen or take me seriously.I hate having to become a bad person when I am simply trying to protect someone I love.My instincts are barely ever wrong, and when I warn you about something or someone, there's a 90% chance I'm right, and the least you could do is listen for your own safety. Now it's already nightfall, and Celestine has still not returned. Not her, not her brat of a sister who wouldn't listen. And I can't count how many times I've been to the window to check if they were already coming.Pacing around the sitting room, and acting like a lunatic, I decided I should do something about this; surely something is not right.I walked out of our apartment and knocked on Greg's door, since he was closer to me, I should use that to my advantage in finding Celestine. As soon as the doorknob twisted and he opened the door, he stood there staring at

  • YOU WILL NEVER BE MY GOD, FELIX.   CHAPTER 72 — WE WERE WORRIED ABOUT THE WRONG PERSON.

🦋 BENITA CELESTINE 🦋 The room fell silent, a heavy stillness settling over everyone as the news spread like wildfire. Faces that were once filled with laughter and warmth now looked pale, lifeless, and serious. Eyes that sparkled with joy just moments before now seemed dull and vacant. The air was thick with shock and grief, as if the weight of the news was crushing everyone in the room. Conversations ceased, and an unsettling quiet descended. We all stood frozen, our expressions etched with sadness and dismay. Our faces were like masks, frozen in a mixture of shock and numbness. No one spoke, no one cried out – the silence was oppressive, heavy with the weight of unspoken emotions. It was as if everyone was holding their breath, struggling to process the unfortunate news.“So we were worried about the wrong person and dealing with something even worse than Rose?” Nikita voiced, breaking the silence.Scott nodded, “I believe so.”“Tell us more,” Felix blurted out. “We should know t

  • YOU WILL NEVER BE MY GOD, FELIX.   CHAPTER 71 – HOW DID WE GET INTO THIS MESS?

🦋 FELIX 🦋 I had just dropped the call with Scott. Rose having a secret identical twin was just an assumption, that's the only way this mess would make any sense, but we still have to confirm if we are indeed right, assumptions can be scary. If Rose has a secret identical twin, then we were worried about the wrong person.I had thought our life would go smoothly with no other risk, but who would have thought Rose could have a twin, and the trouble is actually not over?Although I've known Rose since we were children, I have never seen or heard of this twin, which made me think the possibility is very slim. But what if she does have an identical twin? Why is the family hiding her so much? What is it about this twin that the family made a secret of it?I was lost in thoughts when Scott's call came in, I jolted back to reality and tapped on the receive button.“Hey,” I said into the phone. “Any news?”“How can we meet?” Scott asked. “This is something I should tell you in person. I thi
