Jing Liyuan was not a fool. He had heard the quarrel when he was at the door. As soon as he came in, he saw that Yin Baifan was going to hit Yin Xiaoxiao and he had stopped him instinctively. Jing Liyuan's face fell when he faced the people in the room who seemed to have a very high opinion of themselves and a natural sense of superiority. He didn't like people who thought highly of themselves.

"Do you know Yin Xiaoxiao well enough to marry her? Are you sure you are not being deceived by her?" Li Meng said. Realizing that her words were suspicious, Li Meng continued to say, "After all, most people know something about the Yin family. What if you find out all these things after you two get married. How will you treat her then? Xiaoxiao is a girl who cannot stand rumors and gossip."

Yin Xiaoxiao had thought that Jing Liyuan would at least check up on her. However, the man did nothing but say something softly and firmly which made her want to cry.

“I trust her. I believe that she is a good girl and I will never regret choosing her.”

Jing Liyuan's voice was deep but convincing. After hearing his words, Yin Xiaoxiao could not help trembling because even her father didn't believe in her, but this man whom she had only met twice believed in her without hesitation. No matter what his purpose was, she felt warmth in her heart at that moment.

Then Jing Liyuan turned his head sideways to Yin Xiaoxiao. In the eyes of outsiders, it seemed that the two were very intimate. Immediately, Yin Xiaoxiao heard his gentle voice. "Xiaoxiao, the things I have brought are all in the car. Let someone go out and bring them in."

Yin Xiaoxiao blinked twice and then asked the servants to go and fetch the things in Jing Liyuan's car.

The things were not too numerous, but they were enough to surprise and even shock everyone.

Two bottles of high-class red wine from 1945 from one of France's Bordeaux chateaux, two cartons of Marlboro cigarettes, and some very expensive tonics.
