Yin Ruoyun ran out of the house and watched in disbelief as the Land Rover drove off into the darkness. She turned to Yin Xiaoxiao, and when she saw how calm her sister was, she couldn't help but be overcome with jealousy. Jing Liyuan's family background might not be as prominent as Xiang Chen's, but she had to admit that he was a gorgeous man.

His slightly slanted eyes, thin lips, and high nose bridge were all features that would make any woman swoon.

She calmed herself down and asked with a smile, "Sis, when did you start dating Jing Liyuan? Why haven't I seen him before? Did you...?"

She looked around and asked suspiciously, "Were you two-timing Xiang Chen? Did my brother-in-law know about this? Doesn't he care?"

Yin Xiaoxiao found Yin Ruoyun's words terribly absurd as she walked back into the house.

Was this how women like Yin Ruoyun thought? If a gorgeous man didn't even give them a second glance or ignored their existence, would they assume that the problem lay with the man, or with the woman he was with? It was simply ridiculous!

She ignored Yin Ruoyun because she didn't feel like entertaining her nonsense and headed straight to her room. She didn't expect that her silence would end up making Yin Ruoyun latch on to this "discrepancy" and kick up a fuss!

The tense expression was gone from her face the moment she shut the door. She leaned against it and slid to the floor, sitting there in a daze for some time.

After a while, she reached out to touch her forehead where she could still feel the lingering warmth of his lips!

She couldn't believe that Jing Liyuan had kissed her! It had been so sudden and direct!

Wasn't he someone who was always calm and collected? Why had he suddenly expressed his passionate side? After sitting in a daze for a while, she stood up and flung herself onto her bed. The emotional rollercoaster she had been on for the entire day had left her feeling exhausted, but the moment she thought about his sudden kiss, she was immediately full of energy. She couldn't wrap her head around it and she drifted off to sleep as she tried to come up with reasons for why he'd done it...

T City was abuzz with excitement that very night because of two things. Firstly, the Jing family had suddenly announced that the third young master of the Jing family was secretly married and that the wedding ceremony would be held soon. Secondly, the scandalous eldest daughter of the Yin family had gotten herself hitched. However, her groom was just an ordinary surgeon...

When Yin Xiaoxiao woke up the next morning and reached for her phone to check the time, she saw that her good friend Tao Yi had been frantically trying to reach her on WeChat but her phone had been on airplane mode, so she'd been unable to receive calls. She immediately sat up in bed when she saw the notifications.

Tao Yi had sent her these news articles from T City's local newspapers. She couldn't believe that news of her marriage, along with the news of the third young master of the Jing family's marriage, was being splashed across the papers and that she had made the headlines.

Yin Xiaoxiao tossed her phone aside and shook with fury as she sat in bed. It didn't matter what kind of family Jing Liyuan came from at this point in time. She didn't think that anyone would be willing to recognize her as their daughter-in-law when news of her marriage had become someone else's teatime gossip!

She immediately wanted to explain things to Jing Liyuan. If he divorced her, she would have no choice but to marry Manager Zhang. She would be forced into it against her will! However, she realized when she picked up her phone that she didn't have his phone number, so she tossed her phone aside in annoyance.

She heard a commotion downstairs, so she quickly headed downstairs after haphazardly brushing her hair and immediately spotted Jing Liyuan in her living room. Yin Ruoyun seemed a little flustered as she said, "Sis, he saw the headlines this morning! Will he divorce you?"

Jing Liyuan looked up the moment she appeared on the staircase, as though he had sensed her presence, and their eyes met.
