Jing Liyuan didn't share the same concerns as Yin Xiaoxiao. He waved to signal his grandmother to go aside and pulled Yin Xiaoxiao up from the sofa. "Grandma, don't worry. Xiaoxiao isn't pregnant yet but I'll let you know when she is!" he said softly.

His words were like a pin that burst the Jing family's hopeful bubble and especially disappointed Granny Jing!

She looked angrily at Jing Liyuan and said huffily, "Are you trying to get me to kick you out of the house? Can't I ask your wife some questions? Look at how worried you are! I wasn't even making things difficult for her, so how could you make a joke out of this? Are you tired of living?"

Yin Xiaoxiao was touched by Granny Jing's words. She looked up at Jing Liyuan's perfect side profile and wondered if what Granny Jing said was true.

Jing Liyuan ignored his grandmother and turned to his parents. Then, he said, "Dad, mom, let me know when you will be available to dine with Xiaoxiao's parents."

Granny Jing was enraged by Jing Liyuan's attitude. She was still alive and kicking, so how dare her grandson ignore her existence? She stepped forward and pulled Yin Xiaoxiao to her side. Her voice rose a notch as she said, "Why are you so confident? Did I agree to let Xiaoxiao marry you? If you want to marry her, you have to get my approval first!"

Her words made it seem like Yin Xiaoxiao was part of the Jing family and Jing Liyuan was there to request her hand in marriage.

Jing Liyuan's expression immediately darkened while Granny Jing's spirits were lifted...

"Humph, come and fight me if you dare. I gave birth to your father, so I'm sure I'll be able to take you down easily!"

Yin Xiaoxiao couldn't help but smile at Granny Jing's smug expression. The Jing family wasn't as scary as she had imagined them to be and even Yu Jiahui, who seemed very aloof, had said those words to her because she was concerned about the impact on their family.

Jing Liyuan wasn't too fussed about all that and reached out to pull Yin Xiaoxiao back to him, but on second thought he realized that it wasn't a good idea to go against his grandmother's will, so Yin Xiaoxiao sat beside Granny Jing on the sofa. Then, she finally formally met his family and presented them with her gifts...

Yin Xiaoxiao and Jing Liyuan left before lunch on the pretext of heading out to furnish their new home.

The Jing family didn't hold them back either because they weren't too fussed about all the formalities. However, this didn't mean that they didn't care, as was clear from the way they treated the issue of Yin Xiaoxiao's reputation...

Yin Xiaoxiao was surprised when Jing Liyuan took her to Taotie Restaurant for a meal because it wasn't a restaurant that you could just walk into even if you were rich. There were only a hundred private rooms in this restaurant and each private room was further divided into two private rooms. A small private room had a capacity of five people and a large private room had a capacity of forty people. Then, there was the main indoor and outdoor seating area...

This was the first place he had taken her to have a meal.

They chose to sit at a window in the main indoor seating area. They had just been seated when Yin Ruoyun and Xiang Chen entered the same restaurant and immediately spotted them as well.

"Brother-in-law, sis," Yin Ruoyun said when she spotted them, not giving Yin Xiaoxiao a chance to pretend that she hadn't seen them. She had yet to figure out how to deal with her sister's arrival when Yin Ruoyun led Xiang Chen over and asked, "Are you here for a meal? Why didn't you book a private room? It's so noisy out here."

Jing Liyuan didn't speak. Instead, his eyes narrowed slightly and he looked at Yin Ruoyun with a slightly arched brow.

Yin Ruoyun's arrival immediately attracted quite a few stares and those around them waited expectantly to catch the latest gossip.

Yin Ruoyun seemed to realize that her actions earlier had been too abrupt, so she quickly added shyly, "Sis, why don't you join us in our room? Xiang Chen has made a booking for room eighty-two. Every time we come we always tend to order too much anyway..."

Jing Liyuan remained silent as he reached out to pour some water into Yin Xiaoxiao's cup. It was clear that he would let Yin Xiaoxiao have the final say in this matter.

Xiang Chen's gaze had never left Yin Xiaoxiao as he'd walked into the restaurant. Yin Xiaoxiao gave off the magnetic allure that he couldn't help but be attracted to, so he said even before Yin Xiaoxiao could speak, "Yes, Xiaoxiao, why don't you join us? I'll make sure to order your favorite dishes. Don't you love eating mangoes? Taotie Restaurant is known for its mango mid-joint wings, shall I order some for you?"

He didn't even give her the chance to reject him as he flagged down a waiter and immediately placed the order.

Jing Liyuan remained silent in his seat but he looked up at Yin Xiaoxiao at Xiang Chen's words. Although she couldn't decipher the emotions in his eyes, the look in them sent a chill down her spine.

"It's alright. We'll eat here. Please go ahead," she immediately turned down their invitation. "I'll order my own food and besides, Jing Liyuan and I have made plans for later, so please go ahead without us."
