Cappuccino

She didn't expect him to stand behind her like this so she slipped and was about to fell on the ground when she suddenly realized she was in a strong and warm embrace.

Elliot knew the consequences of scaring her like this and was prepared to hold her in no time.

She two knew that, he would never let her fall.

A surge of warmth pass through her heart.

"I guess you like to be in my arms, why don't I carry you like this everytime?", he teased her as he loved seeing her shy away.

As a result, she immediately freed herself from his embrace and ran towards the kitchen.

He followed her. She was making two cups of coffee when he entered the kitchen.

She knew Elliot likes cappuccino and her uncle likes black coffee so she was preparing them accordingly.

She recalled how Elliot used to love black coffee but suddenly stopped having it and started taking cappuccino instead. She was clueless about the reason while Elliot remembered it clearly.

He recalled the day when Sky tried his black coffee.

"Elliot, how could you drink something like this?", Sky asked with a pout. She just took a sip of his black coffee and immediately spat it out.

"It's so bitter", she said while making a face like she was about to puke.

"Coffee is supposed to be bitter Sky, you could have juice if you want to drink something sweet", Elliot replied her with a grin.

"No, nothing is supposed to be bitter, it has no taste, I didn't like it at all", she said with a pout showing her rejection.

"Don't worry, your coffee isn't has bitter as mine, infact it has a rich taste and is sweet", he said as he had already ordered a cappuccino for her and added some extra sugar to it as he knew her taste very well.

"Yeah I like it", she took a sip and liked it right away.

"You should try it too, you'll forget about that bitter thing you've holding", she said as if she's holding some kind of grudge against his black coffee.

Elliot smiled at the way she said that. He took her cup and drank a few sips from it.

Although he never liked a sweet coffee but God knows why he liked it at that moment.

Maybe because Sky liked it or maybe because Sky had took a sip from it first, there was another kind of sweetness in it. He smiled and decided to take this kind of coffee instead of black coffee because Sky likes it.

'And who knows maybe she will always take a sip from his coffee.' He thought with a grin on his face.

"What are you thinking about?" Sky asked suddenly which brought him back to reality.

"Nothing, just a sweet memory", Elliot smiled while looking at her.

This time, Sky didn't ask her about his "Sweet Memory" as she was aware it would also be associated with her and she didn't want to embarrass herself infront of him again.

"You didn't reply to my question", Elliot asked her suddenly.

"Which question?", Sky asked confusedly.

"That if you like to be in my arms then I'd carry you everytime", Elliot said with mischievously.

Her cheeks turned tomato in no time.

"Are you going out of the kitchen on your own or I call my Aunt?", she threatened him with her big caramel eyes.

"Sure, call my mom, let her also know about your likings", Elliot winked at her.

She was flustered, she didn't know what to say so she changed the topic again.

"Tell me how is the life at college?", she asked nervously.

"Are you scared?", he forgot about teasing her and asked immediately.

"No, I'm not scared, I'm just nervous", she said looking at him.

"You don't need to be nervous, it's pretty fun there, you'll make new friends and will get knowledge about a lot of new things, you're gonna love it", he said trying to comfort her.

"But..", she left the sentence in between.

"But what??", Elliot asked immediately.

"But you won't be there with me", she said after hesitating for a while.

"I've always been with you and I rely on you a lot, How am I supposed to deal with the outside world on my own?", she told him about her concerns.

Elliot smiled knowing what was running through her small brain. He poke at her head while chuckling and held her hands.

He said in a gentle tone, "Who told you you'd be alone? There's also your childhood friend Lily, isn't she also going to the same college?", he said to calm her down.

She frowned, "how many times do I have to tell you that you are my only friend, Elliot", she said with dissatisfaction.

Elliot's heart skipped a beat as he gazed at her. He also knew that she only regarded him as her closest bestfriend and everything but he likes to hear it from her mouth again and again.

"I know I'm your only everything", he teased her, "but I'm just trying to comfort you that you won't be alone there, there will atleast be someone whom you already know", he said in an assuring tone.

She was still blushing at his first sentence that she forgot to react on the second one.

"Your coffee is ready", she gave him his coffee cups.

"Thank you", he said with a gentle smile.

"My pleasure", Sky said and was about to take the other cup of coffee to the study of her Uncle when she suddenly felt a warmth on her cheek.

Her heart skipped a beat and then it started beating violently. She looked at him in amazement and didn't know how to react at first.

"I guess my sugar level was low so I made it stable as too much low sugar level is harmful for health", he said righteously.

It brought her back to reality and she was about to scold him and ran away when she heard her uncle's voice.

"Sky, where is my coffee?", Mr. Frost asked from the study room.

"I'm coming with it Uncle", she glared at Elliot and left with the cup of coffee towards the study room.
