Chapter 6: Forced Kiss

The man held her tightly, using all his warmth, breath, and passion to embrace and kiss her.

Eudora Cook used every ounce of strength she had, flailing her arms wildly, trying to push away the impudent man in front of her.

"Ah—"

Suddenly, the man let go of her, clutching his abdomen in pain.

Eudora Cook was momentarily stunned. She suddenly realized that he was the same man who had crawled into her room injured last night!

He actually dared to show up in front of her again!

"You..." Eudora Cook was about to lash out at him, but seeing his pale face from the pain, she felt a twinge of guilt and changed her tone, "Oh, never mind! I'm sorry! It was an accident! How about I take a look at the wound on your abdomen...?"

"I'm fine, it's just that I don't have much time. I originally planned to visit you at the villa, but the butler said you were out. I just went to the hospital to change my bandages, and I didn't expect to run into you here. So, it must be fate. Darling, wait for me. Once I finish this period, I can be with you every day." Theodore Harrington raised his hand, gently ruffling Eudora Cook's hair, speaking with deep affection.

What should she do?

It seemed he had truly fallen in love with the woman who saved him.

Love at first sight, and then deeper affection upon meeting again.

Theodore Harrington never thought he would fall so deeply and so quickly, unable to extricate himself from this cliché of love.

Even though they had only known each other for 24 hours, it felt as if they had known each other for a very long time.

Perhaps, deep down, he felt a sense of familiarity with her.

It was this feeling that made him always wait for her appearance.

Eudora Cook, however, could only stare at Theodore Harrington in shock, completely baffled by what the man was saying.

"Darling, I have to go now. Goodnight, make sure the driver takes you home early, don't make me worry." Theodore Harrington leaned down, gently kissing Eudora Cook's forehead.

Eudora Cook, still dazed, was about to ask what he meant when the man quickly turned around, leaped over the roadside flower bed, and nimbly jumped into a military green SUV parked by the roadside, where someone had just opened the back door.

With a slam, the car door closed, and the military green SUV sped away.

He was in such a hurry that he left no room for her to ask any questions.

Eudora Cook raised her hand and slapped her forehead. It hurt, so everything that just happened wasn't a dream.

And, what was going on with this man?

He hadn't even given an explanation or apology before forcefully kissing her and saying some incomprehensible things.

Since he was fine, why did he have to come back and find her?

Just now, she saw that the military green SUV had a white license plate, meaning it was a military vehicle.

Could it be that he was from the military?!

After getting back into the car, Theodore Harrington rubbed his lips with his fingertips, as if savoring something.

His friend Brian Gibbon patted Theodore Harrington on the shoulder, smirking, and asked, "Hey, bro. Don't think I didn't see anything in the car just now! How was it? Was the girl's kiss sweet?"

"... " Theodore Harrington's face tightened, and he shot a sharp glare at Brian Gibbon.

Brian Gibbon couldn't help but chuckle, making a zipping motion across his mouth with his hand, signaling that he would keep quiet.

Before embarking on his second mission of the day, Theodore Harrington sent a message to the butler at the villa, asking if Phoebe Hamlet had returned home.

The butler quickly replied, informing him that the young mistress had safely returned and had bought many expensive limited-edition clothes.

Well, as long as she liked them, that was fine.

After sending the message, Theodore Harrington turned off his phone.

Losing her best friend was already a heartbreak for Eudora Cook as she entered society. She didn't expect another heartbreak to follow a week after Phoebe Hamlet left.

Eudora Cook thought she could smoothly complete her internship arranged by the company.

She expected to become a full-time employee when she officially graduated from university, but she never imagined that she would be fired by the newly appointed female boss.

And it was a completely unexplained dismissal!

The new boss, who had never shown her face, issued an announcement: "Dismiss all the interns in the company!"
