When Kristen dropped beside me, she strolled her eyes around and asked, “Where is Tarry? Is he still not here?”

“Nop! Didn’t you come to the stop together?” I asked, looking around for him.

“Are you kidding me? Why would I come with him?” she replied.

The bus drove away with no sign of Tarry and Kristen didn’t stop looking around.

“But you know what, he is kind of weird. I don’t know what is going on in his head. He never comes out of his house. Not even once!"

“So, you keep an eye on him?” I asked with a witty smile on my face.

Rolling her eyes, she replied, “Oh! come on. That is not true at all. I am just telling you whenever I come out I don’t see him around.”

“Really?” I mumbled, staring at her, still smiling.

“Yes, really! Anyway, what is in that bag?” she asked, pointing towards the bag on my lap.

Averting my gaze at the bag, I signed heavily before replying, "Someone's belongings that I should have returned long ago.”
