With a smirk on his face, he said, “So, you got dumped by him over a lady!”

“You…” as Kristen moved forward, I stopped her, grabbed her wrist, and dragged her away.

“Why are you not letting me say anything?” she complained.

“It is better we ignore him. The more we talk the more he will try to instigate us,” I said, focusing on the road.

“But…” she didn’t complete her sentence as the car again came forward and stopped beside us.

“Get in the car. I will drive you,” I heard him saying, and again I chose to stay silent.

“Prisha!” he reached out for my arms and turned me towards him. “Stop ignoring me and get in the car.”

Having had enough, I shoved him and yelled, “What is your problem? Why can’t you leave me alone?”

“I am just helping you,” he said, stepping towards me.

Raising my palm, I said, “No thank you. I can manage myself.”

Then turning around, I left along with Kristen.

“How are you going to get home? It’s a long way,” he shouted.

“I don’t care. Just get lost,” I shouted back.
