Chapter 005
Myra’s Point Of View My head felt light, and my system quite tapped out. I groaned as my eyes pulled apart, cringing hard when my vision suffered from the glaring lights that brightened the room. “What happened?” I quizzed in the softest whisper, dragged up my palm to soothe the ache banging my head. I recall being inside the hall, where I had just met my second chance mate right after the first one gifted me with rejection, and then unsettled with the Goddess’s twist in my fate because the second chance mate had to The Alpha King of all people on earth. I’d ran out to the garden to collect my reality and see to it, it was there the Luna and the beta’s wife showed up to make my life miserable as usual, until my mate surfaced and- Good Goddess! I sprang up once I remember the reason I went unconscious in the first place. He cold-bloodedly took the Luna’s life, and the beta’s wife. All because they hurt me as he’d mentioned. He had viciously ended their lives. And Logan was right there, he witnessed the loss of his mother. “No no no no.” My breaths shook off in a whimper as I rushed out of the bed, pushing my feet into motion as I attempt to sneak out of whoever’s room I was. However, upon opening the door I basically submitted myself to the two guards stationed at the door. I had no idea they were there. “Your Highness, you’re awake,” The one on my right stated the obvious. And he did not just call me his highness did he? Did everyone already know I’m mated to the Alpha King? Cause why would he address me with such title. I mean he called me mate in front of everyone back at the hall, but news couldn’t have traveled that fast. “Yes, and if you don’t mind. I quickly have to go somewhere, I’ll be back in a jiffy,” I told him, politely as I continued my walk out of their presence. “That won’t be unnecessary, because His Royal Majesty has requested us to bring you to him whenever you wake up. I’m sorry, but your quick detour would have to wait.” I halted at the heard of his words. The who now? Am I ready to see the man who heartlessly took two lives like it meant nothing? ‘He did it to save you though, and it was about time those wicked witches gets karmalized. Hahaha,’ Salome, my wolf took pleasure in their grievous demise than sympathy. Albeit they had been bad to me, still they saved me from becoming a dinner to those big black wolves. And if I still recall correctly, it was actually this Luna who suggested they take me in. She deserve karma, but not death. I couldn’t help the sentiment winding me with sympathetic feelings, they deserved something for their cruelty, for their wickedness, just not death. Nobody deserves that, they didn’t have to die like a chicken, the same way I had lost my parents. “Shall we, Your Highness.” I sighed, bracing myself for a pending prolusion with a man of intense reputation. “Let’s go,” I concurred, following the two men as they lead the way. My mind worried on what he wanted with my presence. It’s dumb to think like that because we both felt the mate bond announcing our sealed fate. He obviously wanted to talk about that, but then did he know I’m an omega? Would he be willing to accept me still when he finds out about that? ‘Why are you suddenly full of worries? You should be happy, jumping, and shouting hoorays. This is what we’ve always wanted, to be saved remember?’ Salome questioned my troubled thoughts. “Well yes, but not by the Alpha King. Do you not know who he’s said to be? And if anything, he literally failed to wrong the allegations courting his name, we saw it with our very own eyes. Is that the man we want to save us, the man we want for ourselves? Someone who doesn’t value the flair in existence?” I conversed with her. Would it kill the moon goddess to be fair with me once? Would it? I don’t need me an Alpha or an Alpha King, I just want a man, a simple man strong enough to protect me and take me away from here. That’s all I ever wished for. After writing me a life of pain and torment, she went ahead to pair me with an enemy, heavens so good the alpha-hole rejected me, only for the moon goddess to sentence me with a man mistaken for the devil. Like the actual devil, just lacks the horns and the animal features. I’ve heard a lot about him, bone chilling rumors. How he slaughtered an entire pack of his kinds for disrespecting his name, killed his entire family to usurp the throne, I’ve heard a whole lot. A whole lot to know this is not a blessing. I’d actually prefer being mated to Logan than this stated detrimental personage. Logan might be a jerk whose motive never exceed to give me hell, he’s never had in it in him to see other people suffer; I’ve seen the way he is with the people of his pack, he cares for them and everyone else, except for me and me alone. We arrived at the old Alpha’s chamber. They must have ended the coronation or call it off. We just stood in front of the golden mahogany doing nothing, we waited for what counted up to ten seconds before one of the guards turned around to face me. “You can go in, he’s expecting you,” he relayed, his head bowed. I gulped, walking past the space created for me as I pushed into the door. I entered, feeling the air around me changed. The door closed behind me with a bang, almost startling me out of my spot. I looked ahead, anxiety creeping through my system. There he was, in all his darkened grandeur stood behind Logan!- who is kneeling down, he had him pinned to the ground with just one hand on his shoulder and the other on his nape. My eyes popped as I rushed closer to them, not sure of what I was going to do- but adrenaline pushed me forward still. “Relax, he’s not dying yet,” he said, in a voice made of steel yet sounded soft at the same time. His onyx eyes found mine, locking us in a gripping gaze. I could feel him assessing my entire life, but so far all I saw about him were subtle hints of his dark soul. “They hurt you,” he mentioned while his gaze kept contact with mine, his expression slowly morphing rage. He tossed Logan out of his hold, sending him into a harsh collision with the wall. He approached me, swiftly covering the distance that spaced us. His dark eyes peered deeper into mine as his huge manly frame shadowed over me. I couldn’t look away, something about his darkness fascinated me, I was drawn to the allure. His palm lifted to touch my face as he gently caressed the surface. “They were cruel to you, they did so much to you, my mate,” he spoke calmly, as if mulling over the judgement best fit for the “They”. “I will burn them all!” He mouthed so carefully the threat in his voice sounded friendly. He will what now? Because I have no doubt he’d do it.Epilogue A Month Later. Myra’s point of view It all started with you, and now I hope it ends with you. I spit on the grave in assurance that truly the monster in my life was now feet deep into the solid ground. Oh no this wasn’t my mate’s grave. Heheheh. My mate is no grave at all. Nah I promised myself he wasn’t going to die, just like he promised me that he was going to protect me till the end. We kind of both kept our promises. Mine was easier to keep when my mother is the goddess of the moon itself, all I had to do was reach out to her. Then talked her into returning my mate’s soul to me, a soul she was able to retrieved from the underworld because it belongs to her. Logan was her creation while he was alive so she had a claim on his soul. Although, I had to sacrifice my immortality to be able to reform his life cycle like it once was. After he was brought to life, we buried the Alpha King alongside his whore mentally sick mate in the grounds of where they snuck up on us.
Chapter 116 (Finale - Part 2)Myra’s point of view Was I too late? No. No I can’t be. I ran as quick as my feet could have me hump through the air to his side. There he was, barely alive, gurgling with blood stained down from his mouth, to his neck, and all over his body. He was still conscious, a thin hold of his existence. On the brink of death. I sank to the floor beside him, as I worked him up to rest on my thighs rather than have him on the bare floor like someone unworthy of grace. He is worthy, he is more than worthy. He is my grace! I glanced over at the unconscious dead Lucas piled next to him. Logan did it. He killed him, he was able to. He saved my life like he promised to, like he’s been looking to do ever since! “Logan!” My voice sounded broken, like a harsh realization of what is in front of me. A reality I wouldn’t like to accept. He was in this condition because of me, he’s hanging on a short life thread because of me. He’s about to lose his life now because of m
Chapter 115 (Finale - Part 1)Logan’s point of view What was I thinking trying to reason with a bloodlusted predator? I’d admit my reasoning came from a place of fear, but I’d be stupid if I’m not afraid of him. Even with the weapon I have against him in my possession, what’s to say he wouldn’t have enough power left to blink me out of existence like he’s done before. “I’m going to enjoy taking away your last breath.” Were the words heard from him before he launched at me in an abrupt whoosh. A force slammed into my gut as I flew into the air, and another waited at the end of my projection to land me a stronger force. He punched me into the ground before he got over me and began to pummel my face into the floor I was sprawled on. There was no space for me to react, neither the chance to resist his attack and get away from him. I couldn’t utilize my psychic abilities because it would need my focus, my pure concentration that is currently out of pocket because of my face, neck, an
Chapter 114 (Semi Finale) Myra’s point of view For the first time in my life and I'm saying this because I've lived a miserable existence. I grew up a victim of abuse and mistreatment. Yet I've never been scared, but here we are today, tonight and for the first time in my life, fear gripped me hard like a vice at the sight of who stood few strides away from us. Even under the dark night sky, I could still tell the look on their faces. I’m sure Lucas would have a devilish smug face that hints on how achieved he feels to be here finally, to handle the fate he’s always has planned for Logan once and for all with no mistake this time around. And Lisa, she’ll just be happy she gets to be included in this, and if it’s her role to fight me then I’m sure she’s more than willing to cause some damages. I could end this, I could wish the both of them out of existence. Only if it was possible, however my powers doesn’t work on Lucas, and I think it’ll be the same with Lisa. The both of
Chapter 113Logan’s point of view Of course I figured out late that the girl we have with us is no more than who her father is. I may not have even found out if I wasn’t in Deena’s head. The memories I drowned my knowledge in later exposed the harsh reality that we’ve saved a monster with the same interest an older monster has for the fate of this world. I was going to tell Myra the moment I walked out of that door, even if I came out devastated and a bit swung by the discovery. Still she needed to know so we could plan against it. I had to stop myself when I saw her creeped out of her room and leaned over her doorframe to watch over us. I thought if she doesn’t know that we know who she is truly underneath her helpless facade, then we might still be a step ahead of her. So instead I spoke about a different thing with Myra, like how it’s actually my intention to make her stay behind, even lied that she should with the demon baby we have with us so the girl still wouldn’t have an
Chapter 112 Myra’s point of view “What’s that look on your face?” I asked about the sulked look on Logan’s face as he waltzed out of his room lifelessly. “How badly screwed are we?” I stood up so I could go to him. Tension oozed from him. It was obvious he thinks this is all for him to navigate, to dismantle, and sail over. That he’s shifted all the burden meant for the both of us to carry to himself alone. I rested both my palms on each side of his shoulder as I rubbed him a soft massage. “You’re not alone in this,” I brought to his reminder because that was surely lost in his head. “Good news is I’ve figured out a way to stop the Alpha King, to defeat him once and for all,” he began, his tone a reflection of his dark mood. “What’s the bad news?” I asked, seeing as he went silent and wouldn’t share the rest of the information. “It’s nothing. We should have dinner and go to sleep, tomorrow I’ll set out to get what we need to use against the Alpha King.” He shrugged out
