"I want you to follow Beverly to work starting tomorrow. She's been in a bad mood since the abduction, so pay attention to her emotions. Let me know if you see or hear anything," Evan said.

"Got it. Leave it to me," Christina said.

Earlier that night, at Nordo Villas, Beverly had taken off her wedding band and thrown it at Evan in disappointment while asking for a divorce. He remembered how resolute she'd seemed in wanting to leave him, and it made his chest tighten. He felt a vague sense of unease.

Could she know about him and Cindy?

No, it was impossible. She herself had told Christina that it was all a misunderstanding.
