Star in the sky.
I decided to leave for New York as soon as I can. I felt so suffocated in London with all the memories every place I turned to carried and the void I felt due to losing the most important persons in my life. I couldn’t function normally like before without any of them beside me.
My pain turned to anger once I realized that no one was coming to my rescue. I hated myself for wasting my life running around to be there for people who needed someone to lean on and now there is no one beside me when I needed them the most. My mom was right, People just don’t stay because we want them to.
I was hesitant to go to New York but what are the chances to meet a couple of pop stars accidentally when you walk out of the college campus to get coffee? Maybe one in a thousand to none? So I decided to take my chances.
I got admitted into one of the world’s leading art and design school. I decided to take illustration (BFA) as my major, something I’ve always secretly admired at.

When I was lost in my thoughts staring at the serene view through the glass wall from my floor, I heard the door to my office room open suddenly making my body jerk in surprise reeling my mind back to the present. Listening to the whistle sound coming from behind followed by the ‘thud’ sound of the door closing, I realized who it was without even looking back. I sighed in annoyance, “Don’t you have some basic manners to knock?” I said turning around with an annoyed look. Damon gave me a ‘are you talking to me?’ look and pretended to look around like he was searching for someone else in the room. “Why are you here?” I asked him rolling my eyes. Suddenly the door opened again revealing two gentlemen carrying a huge table into the room. “What’s going on?” I asked to no one in particular in confusion watching them bringing the table while grunting.

Destiny has a lot of names, fate, future, divine decree, gods will. Some people say it's karma and some say it’s just coincidences.
