INICIAR SESIÓNChapter 3
Rachel’s POV
Enzo doesn’t wait until we make to my bedroom.
“We will conceive tonight, have a son and be crowned within the year. No male in my family has had a girl in 50 generations,” he explains as he fingers me in the hallway.
“Take me now. I will be the perfect Queen.”
His kiss is sizzling as he grabs me and presses into me. He marks me at our climax.
When he pulls out, he pulls me to my bedroom. That night I am pleased beyond my dreams.
Alpha Enzo is everything I could ever want in a husband. I will be the next Queen for sure.
The next morning is our official wedding. Daddy meets me and Renee in our dressing room.
“How much trouble did my Rachel give you about a modest wedding dress?” Daddy asks Carolyn.
“None,” Renee answers, walking out smiling. Although she is walking a little funny. “They actually didn’t fight at all.”
Carolyn and I hug, making Daddy laugh.
“My girls made excellent choices last night. And I see you are both marked,” Daddy looks at Renee.
“I’m okay. He was gentle and kind.”
I smile. “Enzo is not either of those things.”
Renee and I giggle as our father makes a silly face.
“Okay, girls, let's get this show on the road,” Daddy holds out his arms. I take the left, Renee the right.
Daddy leads us back to the hall. As we walk, I see Renee lower her eyes when a young Alpha stares at her.
I mindlink her through our twin bond.
Me- Who is that?
Renee- A young Alpha who has a serious crush on me.
Me- Girl, he has it bad. Are you sure you made the right choice?
Renee- The way Tristan made my first time perfect. He was so gentle, like I matter more than the result. I made the right choice.
Her words hit me like a brick. Enzo mentioned ‘putting a son in me’ over 20 times last night. I look up at the altar. Tristian is almost itching to get to Renee. Enzo is looking at me like I am prey.
As we get closer, Tristian walks toward us. Enzo sees him and does the same. Daddy chuckles and hands us off to our husbands.
Renee giggles at something Tristian says. Enzo says nothing.
After the vows, the Elder announces, “You may kiss your bride.”
Tristian gently cups Renee’s faces and whispers to her before kissing her. Enzo grabs the back of my head and forces our lips together.
“We are leaving for New York now. I have too many things going on to linger,” Enzo informs Daddy after we cut the cake.
“I understand, Alpha. Remember, your promise to treat my daughter with love,” Daddy’s Royal Command is strong and Enzo lowers his head in respect.
“My King, she is my greatest jewel. I will keep her safe and happy,” Enzo whisks me away.
My next twelve years are brutal. Each year I get pregnant. Each year I give him a girl. He tosses them to a wet nurse and refuses to acknowledge them. Each labor is brutal. I take longer to recover each time.
Finally, in year thirteen, the ultrasound shows it’s a boy!
“Enzo,” I tell him weakly. “Your boy is coming. Please let this be our last child.”
The sting of his back hand is sharp.
“After twelve girls you think one boy is enough? You will deliver this boy and then you will give me one more boy. Then you can stop,” Enzo slaps me again to accent his point.
My daughters all look hollow and weak. They should be the Alpha’s Daughters, Princesses of the Pack. But they are treated worse than me. I am kept from them. I see them working in the hallways. Even my 3 year old has cleaning duties. My eldest has hard eyes like her father. I see her plotting, but I do nothing to stop her.
I deliver my son, Giuseppe, on August ninth, thirteen years to the day after we met.
Enzo is so overjoyed, he declares I may have a year of rest. It will take that long to organize a proper coronation for he and I to take over for my father.
“Can the girls now be recognized?” I ask, hoping his good mood will extend something to them.
Enzo laughs. “What girls?”
He is looking into Giuseppe’s basket and smiling.
“Our twelve daughters. One will turn fourteen soon. And the youngest girl is almost one,” I look at him, hoping he will think of them now.
“No one in the pack knows about girls. All our children before our son, died at birth. Do you understand?” Enzo’s eyes are cold and cruel. He looks at me only to make sure I understand. “That weak Alpha Tristian may delight in girls. The way he pampers them is disgusting. Three useless girls and he acts like they are the most precious creatures on earth. I have the son. The heir is mine, the crown, the throne, the kingdom. All will be mine and then my son’s. My bloodline will rule for centuries. There will never be a female in my bloodline to taint it’s purity.”
I look to the door my eldest daughter hears every word from his lips. I can see my youngest daughter peek in, but the eldest pulls her back.
I failed my daughters. I can’t save them.
Chapter 24Renee’s POV“He is going to make a sideways remark about us, but praise Rachel,” Dexter whispers making me laugh before Tristan starts speaking. Tristian’s speech is short and sweet.“Told you,” Dexter says when it’s all over. “Did he mean it?”I look at my mate, who is grinning like a fool. I know I have a smirk on my face and I check left and right. “Not a word.”Dexter and Keith laugh. “Well at least tomorrow we start back home. I can’t wait to get there,” Keith sighs. “I miss home.”I see him hold his head. “Headache?” I ask and he nods. “Switch to water.”“I am drinking water,” he shows me his glass. “It just won’t go away.” We all enjoy the rest of the shower and when the last guest has left Rachel, Tristian, Dexter, Keith and I are all standing in the foyer as the staff cleans up. “That mountain of gifts is nice,” Dexter motions to the four overflowing tables. “Yes,” Rachel rubs her belly and leans into Tristian. He stiffens. Dexter notices and remains
Chapter 23Rachel’s POV“Why are you so angry about this?” Tristian asks staring at me crying on the bed. “Do you love her? I know you wanted her,” My voice is tear choked and sounds helpless. “I felt like she needed protecting. So I protected her. I could have done a lot worse to him. All I did was punch him,” Tristian shrugs and looks at me without touching me. “What if I told you that in past life you were hers and you had three daughters. You left her to die in a fire, that is why she gave you to me this life.”Tristian sits on the bed and strokes my hair.“I would call a doctor and have your beautiful mind examined. Because that sounds crazy. Why would you run to the man who left your sister to burn alive?”“Because my mate was Enzo. He wanted a boy so badly he breed me for 15 years. I gave birth to 13 girls. He wouldn’t let me name them, hold them, or tell anyone they even existed. When I finally gave him a son he brought us all here. My girls set the palace on fir
Chapter 22Renee’s POV“What the hell just happened?” Daddy’s voice is loud and clear. He stands behind Rachel on the stairs. “Tristian defended Renee,” Rachel tells him before holding her belly and running away.Tristian watches her but without regret. “Some might say he overreacted,” Enzo says getting to his feet. “And put his nose where it doesn’t belong.”Tristian turns back to Enzo, his wolf at the surface. “Others would say Dexter was not fast enough and you deserve so much worse.”“As much as I hate to agree with Enzo on anything,” Dexter steps forward calmly. “I agree punching him was extreme. He was provoking me on purpose. I simply didn’t take the bait.”“You really going to stand there and let this man speak about your mate like that?” Tristian clinches his jaw and stares angerly Dexter.“He called her pretty. She is in fact gorgeous so I’m more offended he downgraded her to pretty than anything else. Why are you so angry?” Dexter is two inches taller than Tristian
Chapter 21Renee’s POV“Renee,” Rachel runs to me after breakfast. “What does Dexter know?”We have just left the table because Daddy called Dexter and Tristian to a meeting with the Betas. Ro-Just lay it out. She is going to cry no matter what. Be strong. She is supposed to be the strong one. “He knows everything. I told him everything.” I stand with my back straight. “That is why he is going after Enzo?” Rachel is breathing heavy and holding her belly. “What if Enzo retaliates?”“That is why Dexter brought in Dad,” I rub her arms. “Dad can cut off Enzo with one strike. Why you didn’t go to Dad in our last life I don’t understand?”Ro-That’s my girl! Offence!“Because I was hoping if I just gave him a son I could have my daughters. I was planning to talk to Dad after my son’s announcement. I didn’t know my daughters would do what they did.”My blood runs cold. “What did you expect them to do? You didn’t even give them names. You dragged them to the pack you were born
Chapter 20Renee’s POV“Get me out of here,” I whisper as Tristian strokes Rachel’s face. “Excuse me, my fated mate and I have some fated mate things to do. We will see you all at the Baby Shower tomorrow.”He lifts me off my chair and carries me away. In our room, he places me on the bed. “I love you,” he whispers as he helps me out of my clothes. “Bubbles or not?”I stretch and look at him. “Bubbles. I want Bubbles.”He nods and makes my bubble bath. “You want to walk in here or does my Queen need to be carried?” He asks with a smirk.“Only if my King is naked,” I tease and he quickly undresses. “That was fast.”“Benefit of youth,” he teases, making me laugh. We get in the bath together and without much foreplay at all, Dexter guides me down on to him with my back against him. I grip the sides of the tub as I move my hips. Dexter sucks on my shoulders and back.“Careful, marks. Baby shower tomorrow.”“Fuck it, I want all the marks all over you. I want everyone to know
Chapter 19Rachel’s POV“You okay?” Tristian asks as I stare at the place the boy just lifted my sister from.“They are actually fated,” I say shaking my head.“Yeah,” I hear the sadness in his voice. “She got her fated mate. Are you jealous?”I scoff. I was jealous in the last life, but I got him this life. Shouldn’t that be enough?“No. I love you,” I say to him and smile. Tristan kisses my temple and leads me for a walk through the gardens. It’s almost winter but the greenery is still alive.“This is beautiful,” Tristian says as we walk. “Is the cold air helping you feel better?”“This isn’t cold yet,” I tease him and he laughs. His real laugh. The real one. The one I love.“Yeah. It gets colder at home too. I kinda don’t like our daughter being born in the winter. I worry we won’t make it to the hospital or a doctor won’t make it to the packhouse.”“Does the weather get that bad? We are werewolves,” I walk beside him as we get close to Renee’s window.“You had to be
