Chapter 4: Not What You Expected

Author

After divorcing his Luna, Hunter looked very happy since he discovered his Omega, Emily, was pregnant with his baby. Happiness was visible on Hunter's face every time he was with Emily. Maybe the Omega he was with was not the mate fated by the Goddess to accompany him until death did his part, but Hunter felt that Emily was more reliable because she could give Hunter what he wanted quickly.

The pack already knew about the divorce and quite a few of the Alphas felt that Hunter had worsened their image by just throwing Luna out, but quite a few also supported Hunter with his decision to divorce Olivia.

Dark Moon is indeed well known as the strongest pack because it has quite a large number of members with great Alphas in it, but Dark Moon is not the only strongest pack, there is one very famous pack, even quite feared because of their actions that are brave enough to protect their territory, and all the Alphas who join there have extraordinary skills, their business abilities have also been recognized by other packs.

Not only Alphas, but they also have lots of "Perfect" Omegas, none of whom have failed or been abandoned, they live prosperously in the hands of great and responsible Alphas. They are Silent Claws.

“Hunter, I want cherries, can you stop by the supermarket to buy them?” Emily said.

“Sure, whatever you want, sweetie,” Hunter said.

"Thank you, my Alpha, we were waiting for you," Emily said and Hunter hung up the phone, he was still in his office when Emily continued to call him, asking him to come home immediately and this time she asked Hunter to buy Cherry before he returned home.

After learning about Emily's pregnancy, Hunter's attitude changed, he treated Emily much better than how he treated Olivia before. He also pampers Emily and always gives the Omega whatever she wants.

That's how Alphas should be, they will give everything for their mate because it is a form of responsibility and proves that they are true Alphas. The way they treat Omegas is also a good value for their pack in the eyes of other packs.

On the way home, Hunter kept his promise to stop at the supermarket, bought Omega's favorite cherries, and also bought lots of other fruit for Emily, no, for their baby.

Busy choosing the fruit in front of him, Hunter was distracted by the voice of a boy nearby. The boy was alone and tried to reach the yogurt cup in front of him. At first, Hunter just watched him and let him try alone, but after failing many times, Hunter finally approached him and helped him take the yogurt cup.

"Thank you, uncle," the boy said.

"Where are your parents?" Hunter said and the boy just shrugged his shoulders as if to say he didn't know where his parents were.

"Then how did you get here?" Hunter said.

"My house is close to here, I always come here to buy my sister's favorite yogurt," the boy said.

“Do you only live with your sister?” Hunter said.

"No, I live with my grandfather and pack, thank you for helping me, I'll excuse myself," the boy said and just left Hunter.

The boy's attitude amazed Hunter, and he became even more excited to be able to see his baby come into the world soon. Hunter continued to watch the boy leave until he was no longer visible and returned to his mission there.

After arriving home, Emily was waiting for him at the entrance, her face looked happy, and of course, she was very happy, being able to live with one of the greatest Alphas in the pack is the dream of all Omegas, only she couldn't call herself Luna until the Alpha married her and mark her neck.

But why didn't Hunter do that?

Didn't Emily give him what he wanted?

Even though it sounds easy, in reality, marrying and marking Omegas is not easy, it is the most difficult thing for Alphas because they can only marry and mark the Omega that the Goddess fated for them.

Let's just say there is only one Luna for one Alpha and Emily will never be his Luna.

But why does Emily want to be with Hunter even though she knows she won't be able to become Luna?

The answer is simple, it is because of existence.

No one will underestimate her because she is in the hands of a well-respected Alpha even though she is not and will never be Luna for Hunter.

"Why you are here? It's very cold here, you can wait for me in the room," Hunter said, he pulled Emily by her small waist to kiss her forehead.

“I'm bored, so I'm waiting for you here, and Where's my cherry?” Emily said.

"Here, I also bought other fruit for you, come into the room and I will ask Mia to clean it for you,"

Hunter said.

"Then what about you?" Emily said.

“I need to call my dad first,” Hunter said.

“Ah, he asked you to come to his house again? Are you coming there?” Emily said.

"I don't know, but if I don't come maybe he'll get suspicious," Hunter said.

"Why didn't you tell him that you and your Omega had separated?" Emily said she looked sullen because she felt unfair.

"Be patient, I will talk to him, but not now," Hunter gave the Omega a lovely peck and asked to go into the room, after asking Mia to clean the fruit to give to Emily.

Seeing that Emily had returned to her room, Hunter came out of the house, lit his cigarette, and took the phone from his pocket. He saw many missed calls from his father, Roger.

“Hello,” Hunter said.

"Are you ignoring me?" Roger said.

"I'm sorry Dad, but I'm very busy today, what's wrong?" Hunter said.

"I tried to contact Olivia but she didn't pick up my phone, what happened to her? Is she hurt? I want to talk to her,” Roger said.

"Dad, she's staying at her mother's house, maybe she'll be there for a while because her mother is sick," Hunter said.

“And you let her go alone? Don't embarrass me, Hunter, you're an Alpha and—”

"Dad, I'm not a kid anymore, I know what I have to do as an Alpha and she went to her mother's place, so I let her go," Hunter said.

"Okay, that's your right, then come to my house tomorrow, I have something to tell you, it's important," Roger said.

"I don't know whether I can come there or not, there have been a lot of meetings lately and I can't cancel them," Hunter said.

"That's your business, but come, this is about the Company and our pack," Roger said and hung up the phone before Hunter could answer his words.

Hunter looked very angry, his father always sided with Olivia, and he treated Olivia more than his children Hunter's decision to divorce Olivia was not easy, but he felt that his father might not live much longer after seeing his condition getting worse day by day.

Hunter threw his cigarette on the ground and stepped on it before returning to his house. He couldn't say anything to Emily about what he and his father had discussed, because after all, Emily was just an ordinary Omega in their pack.
