BLAIRE'S POV

I stared in disbelief as my husband walked out on me. Ever since Fabian and I had been married, never for once had he walked out on me before.

We usually had little disagreements but never for once had he raised his voice at me before not to even talk about walking out on me.

But now, just because of his friend? A girl! He walked out on me, asking me to be what? Reasonable? Me? Was I not always being reasonable?

A scoff escaped my mouth, I didn't know what else to do at such a moment. After taking a moment to calm myself, I stared out the window.

Jane was standing by her car, her eyes wandered around the compound and for a moment, I actually questioned whether I was overreacting or not.

But then her eyes landed on our own building and a smile dangled from her lips, somehow, sending eerie sensations down my spine.

I returned to the dining table, wearing a smile on my face. I had to put on a show for my kids.

Fabian met my eyes, a silent plea in his, then he looked

BLAIRE'S POV I wished I could have remained in bed for a few more minutes. Just a few. Even if it was just one. But there was too much to do and I couldn't ignore everything. I had to force myself out of bed and prepare for work. Fabian helped me prepare as well. He pulled me in for a hug and placed a soft kiss on my forehead. “Try not to stress yourself too much okay? I'll come pick you up from work. Just let me know when you're getting off.” I nodded in response and hugged me back. After leaving home, I buried myself underneath the pile of work I had to do. Everything was just so stressful but I just had to do it and not procrastinate. A knock on my door made me lift my head from the pile of paper work in front of me. My personal assistant walked in and closed the door behind herself. “Good morning ma'am, have you been here for long?” I shook my head although I had been there for about an hour plus. “I got in just a while ago. Good morning.”“I saw the files you placed on my

THIRD POV Jane walked down the street in her stiletto heels, scrolling through her phone while several shopping bags were hanging from her hand. A soft chuckle left her mouth at a content she came across, she dropped a like on the video and scrolled away. A man walked by her and gently nudged her shoulder with his, probably accidentally. She scoffed and yelled at him. “Excuse me! Watch where you're going!” He bowed his head apologetically and muttered an apology. “Sorry miss.” She rolled her eyes and made to walk away but the man suddenly grabbed her hand and pulled her back. She was about to speak when he cut her off, his words enticing to her ears. “Are you familiar with Blaire McConnell?” She arched her thin brow at him, wondering who he was to Blaire or rather why he was asking about her. “And why do you want to know that?” “Because I know you both live in McConnell estate. I'd like to get to know you better if you're willing to help me.” She paused for a second, consider

BLAIRE'S POV Jacob stared at me with so much surprise. His eyes were so wide I feared they were going to pop out. I didn't believe it myself that I had hit him. When he hit me, I never had the courage to hit him back or even fight for myself. Right now, I felt the desperate urge to break his teeth. I didn't hit him because I knew Fabian was there to protect me. At that moment, I had totally forgotten about the presence of my own husband. If Fabian was not standing behind me, I would have hit him in the face. Probably even harder. And he would stand there, just as speechless as he was. I placed a hand on my hip and the other on my head. “Oh my goodness… this son of a bitch… really.”He arched his brow at me. “Blaire… what did… I don't… Did you just hit me?” “I just did, and I'll do it again! Why?! Are you angry?! Are you pissed?! Then that makes the two of us you son of a bitch!” I spat out without thinking. “Why are you treating me this way?!” He yelled out at my face. “Do you

  • Your Honor, I Want A Divorce!   A slap!

BLAIRE'S POV It took a lot for me not to throw a punch at his face, I wondered what kept me so restrained. Maybe because I knew it was my hand that was going to be hurting rather than his face. Still, I took a few steps forward, no longer hiding behind Fabian. My fear had been replaced by sincere anger and the fatigue in me from the day's work didn't make things any easier. A scoffed laugh escaped my mouth, I tried to figure out exactly what was wrong with Jacob. The fact that he was offering me such a terrible idea made me want to laugh. “What exactly is your problem?” I asked him, keeping my voice calm and controlled. Jacob squinted his eyes. Those darn eyes I once adored but now hated so much it made me wish I could gauge them out. “What do you mean by that?” He asked, his thick brow arching. I had to look away from his face– that face that I once caressed with so much love and happiness, staring at it for too long made me want to claw my nails all over them– for a second s

  • Your Honor, I Want A Divorce!   A chance to change things

BLAIRE'S POV “I really appreciate you for coming here today,” I said with a smile on my face as I reached out to shake her hand. She accepted my handshake with a graceful smile on her face. “Thank you for having me at such a late hour. I really didn't mean to take too much of your time, those airline people are something else. Really.” There was a sweet French accent as she spoke, not too noticeable but it was still there. A chuckle slipped from my lips, “I understand. I just hope I was able to please you.”“Oh of course dear! I was beyond surprised that the owner of Gemma's Collections was still waiting for me, I believed I would just meet a few attendants or maybe your personal assistant or something. But you gave me a tour without even rushing me and you helped me make careful and precise choices. Thank you.” “You're very much welcome. I hope to get some recommendations then, tell your friends about me and tell your friends to tell their friends.”She let out a soft and gracefu

  • Your Honor, I Want A Divorce!   Someone creeping in the shadows

THIRD POV Fabian had just put the kids to sleep and was feeling bored. He fell into the couch with a soft sigh. Turning on the TV, he wondered what could be a good watch and scrolled aimlessly between channels. When he found nothing entertaining, he gave up and switched off the television. “Maybe I should just go to bed instead.” He said to himself, rising to his feet. But the idea of going to bed when his wife was not yet back home just didn't sit right with him.So he sat back down and picked up his phone that laid on the table with its screen off. Bringing life to the dark screen, he dialed his wife's number but hung up almost immediately. “No, I shouldn't. She'd be busy.” He said to himself. He felt a little restless. Blaire had had days like this, working relentlessly without break only to get home and crash, but she had never been this late. He knew she was still at work though because of the delay in the French woman's flight, but he still wasn't comfortable with it. Star
