Shen Xinyi rushed forward in an attempt to escape from the cave ; if the assasins wwre following behind her she wouldn't like to be caught up in a dead end .

Once she reached the cave opening a small childlike voice stopped her from stepping ahead.

"Master stop! Down! Down!" 

Shen Xinyi knew that once the contract between human and beasts were formed they can communicate with each other through spiritual connection . Though what the little fox said was mostly incomprehensible yet Shen Xinyi understood the gist of it . The little fox was asking her to look down .

A silk like thread was attached to both the ends of the cave , it was so thin that if not for the little fox ; Shen Xinyi wouldn't have noticed it at all. The thin thread was later connected to a number of crossbows .
