BEEP BEEP BEEP my alarm goes off for training. wake up sleepy head I hear someone say. I turn and look around there is no one in my room but I could have swore,... I must be going crazy I think to myself. your not crazy I hear the voice say and that's when it dawn's on me, are you my wolf I ask? nice to officially meet you savannah, I'm Sadie and yes I'm your wolf .Today I turn 18 I met my wolf and I will find my mate, See I am a werewolf, my name is Savannah gold and I am from the gold moon pack. My father is alpha Damon gold, he is 6 foot 7 and has tan skin black hair and emerald green eyes, my mother Luna lucille gold is quite the opposite with a petite form at only 5 foot 2, fair skin, red curly hair and royal blue eyes. My father is the alpha of the gold moon pack, it's the largest pack in Hyattsville, Wyoming. we are very close to The Bighorn National Forest. we are in a secluded part of the forest, most the humans in town think our pack is some sort of wierd culty commune. our pack has over two thousand members, most of the members live in cottages all around the gold moon pack territory but my family,lives on the third floor of the pack house my parents and my little brother Jaxon or as I call him, Jax, have a suite for them and I have my own suite, pretty sure my parents gave it to me when I turned sixteen so they didn't have to deal with me and my friends waking up jaxon. Jax is 6years old now and he's already so strong and so smart. I can tell he will be an excellent alpha. he looks like my dad except where dad's hair is black and straight Jax's hair is black and curly like my mom's and where dad has green eyes Jax has mom's blue eyes as for me, well I look just like my dad I am lean and toned,I have long straight black hair tan skin and emerald green eyes. the beta Carl harvey and his mate Jenelle and their children which includes his oldest son drake who is away visiting other packs trying to find his mate, he's 22 and still not mated and to be honest I had always hoped I'd be his mate, my best friend Sarah and her twin brother adam and the gamma Lyle daniels his mate grace and his two daughters Bella who is 4 and Alivia who is just 6 months old have suites on the second floor and the first floor is for unmated warriors. the pack house is like a log cabin, but way bigger, it has a rec area for the teens, a movie theater, volleyball court, basketball court, a bar for the adults and a pool. most alpha's have a male heir first, to some that is all that matters and if their mate doesn't produce a male first she is kept as a mistress, rejected, or killed and he takes a chosen mate until he gets the heir to his pack. not my father tho, he said he knew I was special from the moment I was conceived, a true alpha female, he also says he knew I was a girl from the time he found out about me and that I would accomplish great things, he swears selene visited him in a d****e and told him about how I would lead my people to do marvelous things. mom and I think it was just that a dream, he has offered me the alpha position when he steps down but I don't want to take it. I think I'll save it for my little brother I'm strong and an effortless leader however I just don't feel like being the alpha is my destiny. Tonight is my party and the first time I will shift it is also the day I'm able to meet my mate and the last day of my senior year at bright moon high, it's going to be a busy day. I'm nervous and can't wait I get lost daydreaming about meeting my mate tonight, as almost all of the surrounding packs ranking members are invited but for now I guess I should get up and get around for training before school. I gather my clothes for a shower, I quickly shower, get ready in my black workout pants sports bra and sneakers. , I throw my long black hair up into a low pony and run down the stairs to grab a bottle of water before I head out. As I make my way down the stairs of the packhouse I hear my mother "savannah gold, if you don't get down here you will be late for training and you know beta Harvey will make you run laps for every minute your late "Coming mother" I hollered back as I ran down the stairs. I kissed my mother's forehead, said goodbye to daddy, grabbed a water and headed out the door. My best friend and beta Harveys daughter Sarah was waiting for me leaned up against my 2007 Pontiac grand prix with her brother adam. " Happy birthday princess" she calls to me her and Adam fall I to step with me and we head towards the training grounds giving me one of her big goofy grins. so, she says "excited for tonight?I mean you could meet your mate, it could be magical"she continues to say in a song song voice. I just laugh a little, " truth is I'm very nervous" what if I'm your mate Adam says playfully wiggling his eyebrows at me.
we arrive at the training grounds with a minute to spare but every one else is already there, some are stretching others are standing in groups Sarah and I see our best friends Devon Bailey and Leah, and we decide to join them in limbering up. about five minutes after we start stretching and getting warmed up beta Harvey is ready to start. he starts by running us five laps in human form. then he has us spar in both human and wolf form I pin Sarah's brother Adam a few times, he is the future beta, him and Sarah being beta Harveys children. you can tell even tho Adam is trying to be cool about it he's a little upset a female can kick his butt but hey, I am an alpha after all. beta Harvey pairs Adam and Leah next and me and Devon are paired together for one last round of sparring. I also manage to pin Devon he's a lot easier to pin than Adam. leah and Adam are still going at it finally Adam gains the upper hand and pins Leah laying on top of her the way Leah is staring into his eyes you can tell she likes him and I smile thinking about how cute they would be as mates, she brings out a shy side in Adam that he definitely doesn't have with anyone else. finally training is over and we all head off to do what we need to do today. for me Sarah and adam our day consists of the last day of senior year before graduation. we head to my suite at the pack house to get cleaned up and changed while Adam uses the shower at the training grounds we both take quick showers and get dressed. Sarah wears a bright yellow sundress and flats and I got for my normal black skinnies a black a shirt and my combat boots I brush out my long black hair and throw it up in a messy bun. this is our morning routine so Sarah's book bag is already here we grab them on our way out of the suite. I smell breakfast as we come down the stairs and I see my parents at the alpha table with Sarah's dad beta Harvey and his mate Sarah's mom Leanne and the gammas. mom, dad, we are headed to school now ill see you right after, "savvy, at least grab breakfast before you go, today's a big day you'll need your energy' my mom says so I grab a sausage and cheese muffin a yogurt and a black coffee, it's my favorite breakfast for on the go. "thanks mom, dad I love you, bye Jax" I say to my little brother, bye bye vanna, he says in his cute little toddler voice. I turned and waved saying goodbye to Sarah's parents and the gammas before we went outside meeting Adam and hopping in the car. we plugged in the aux cord and began jamming to our favorite song, alright I said excitedly lets get this day over with them bye bye high school
Our school, bright moon high school is just for werewolves and a few of the neighboring packs also attend this school including the not so friendly crescent pack who's alpha Lucas grey is always trying to absorb the surrounding packs for their land.
I've never met Lucas grey but the stories are not kind and his son and future alpha Brandon grey's reputation definitely lives up to the stories we here. He is the biggest bully in our whole school and uses the reputation of his pack to intimidate lower ranking wolves into doing whatever he commands. As Sarah and I arrive at school there is none other thank Brandon grey across the parking lot holding an omega from my pack up against the wall by the throat. The omega whose name is Shaun is sputtering trying to breathe as Brandon continues to strangle him screaming about the homework Shaun was supposed to do for him which was due today. I turn to Sarah and her eyes go wide. He cannot treat our pack members like that I don't care if Shaun is an omega I state livid. She starts to ask what we can do about it but before she can get the words out I am marching in His direction and that's when it hits me the most delicious cedar and woodsy smell. Oh no, not him it can't be. Brandon grey is my mate.
Please, goddess no, anyone but him I think, I can feel the color drain from my face and I turn around and start to walk as fast as I can away from Brandon before he can scent me. Sarah follows closely behind me, as we get in my car I turn to her and ask, do you think he smelled me, do you think he knows I'm his mate? God Sarah, what am I going to do, I can't be mated to that ruthless tyrant. He is the worst of the worst. I need to call my dad. I pull my phone out of my pocket and start through my contacts looking for my dad's number, I really need to save his number to my favorites. Finally I find the number and just as I'm about to hit the call button I here a banging on my car window making me almost jump out of my skin, and look up to see Brandon, shit....
Open the window Savannah, please he says and Sadie whimpers in my head from hearing her mates husky voice. He continues to bang on the window as I contemplate driving away. Sarah, what do I do? I ask her. Sarah's eyes go from a livid Brandon to me before she opens her mouth to speak. Savvy, I know he is an ass but he is your mate maybe you should just hear him out she says and I sigh defeated, obviously she is right.
I turn on the car and roll down the window and as I do I remember that ten minutes ago he had a member of my pack by his neck and now my anger has taken over instead of rolling down the window I throw my driver's door open hitting him with it. Now you listen to me you entitled arrogant ass, you think you can treat and talk to members of MY PACK any way you want because you are the future alpha of the Cresent pack, that does not give you any authority over the members of the gold moon pack. That right belongs only to MY father I screamed at Brandon, so keep your grubby hands off my pack members do you understand me I continued while poking him in his muscular chest. Sparks flying thru my finger all the way to my elbow and up into my shoulder, taking control of my whole body. You need to learn some manners and until you do I have nothing to say to you mate or not, your lucky I don't reject your ass right here Sadie whimpers at the thought of us rejecting our mate but I just huffed with rage and plopped back into my driver's seat closing my door and driving away.
Sarah started at me quietly with wide eyes her mouth opening like she has something to say and then closing it again. "well come on" I state, "I know you have something to say so might as well say it". Sarah started to smile taking the serious look off her face "I can't believe you just talked to Brandon grey that way, and you poked him, like, In the chest like a disappointed mother." I rolled my eyes at her, " he will learn not to touch members of my pack" just lucky I didn't reject him I thought to my wolf making her ears lay back as she whined again. I'm sorry Sadie I wouldn't normally think of rejecting our mate, but our mate, he's not a good person. " I know" but he may not be what you think, his wolf is good I can tell Sadie wimpers back as she retreats to the back of my mind.
