“Good morning, Reka,” Reka turned around quickly and bowed low in my direction. She was about a finger’s width close to having a seizure when she noticed I was wearing a towel in the kitchen. She looked like she was going to protest, but she didn’t. She kept her mouth shut and went back to what she was cooking.

“Reka, is there something you want to say?” I asked, leaning on the island. There was literally no need for everyone to be tense around me. “You can relax.”
