MasukIt quickly made national news that Melanie Crown, the only child of the wealthy-influential Frederick Crown had been involved in a ghastly accident.
As soon as the collision happened, people gathered around with phones and cameras ready to capture the moment in hopes of gaining fast internet notoriety. The police soon surrounded the scene of the accident, followed by the ambulance. Every official around knew how delicate the incident was; they all knew that any little mistake, any tiny misstep could lead to their head on a platter. Frederick Crown is not a man who is known to be kind, he is ruthless and malicious, a demon living amongst mere mortals. He is even more brutal when it comes to issues concerning his daughter Melanie. She is his golden apple, his precious daughter, the heiress to his billion dollar fashion company. Frederick might potentially let somethings go but when it comes to Melanie he becomes a brutal beast, ready to kill anyone to keep his spoiled child happy. If anything happens to Melanie, the officials around knew that them and their families would not be spared. Frederick is known to be affiliated with some infamous mafia groups as well as very powerful political figures so they knew that they would have to do anything to keep Melanie Crown breathing. The other woman…Ava, did not matter as much, for all they knew she was a nobody so they were willing to let her die if it meant the Crown Heiress's survival. “Is she going to be alright?!” The district police officer asked with panic etched in his voice. “I don't know but she's badly injured, her whole face is basically destroyed,” one of the EMT doctors said after the heiress had been successfully removed from the badly bashed car. All the attention was showered on Melanie while the remaining three victims remained an afterthought. After the heiress was stabilized with an oxygen mask in the ambulance, the officials proceeded to attend to the rest of the victims. The deaths of the two drivers were confirmed dead on the spot while the other woman (Ava) who had a very weak pulse was also taken into the ambulance and placed next to the heiress with her own oxygen mask placed on her face. Before they got to the hospital, Melanie's pulse had gotten very weak while Ava's own got stronger, it felt like fate had decided to switch its course, it felt like fate decided to punish the notoriously mean Melanie Crown with death. They rushed Melanie into the ICU and then Ava followed. Soon enough the hospital's lobby was filled with two families, one powerful, wealthy and influential, the other poor and lowly. “If anything bad happens to my daughter you will pay dearly,” Frederick Crown yelled at Ian Smith who stood there in utter shock and confusion. He had been convinced that the emergency officials had the wrong number when they called. He told them repeatedly that there was no way that his wife was in that part of town. She left the house to visit Sandra, their friend who was a little bit under the weather…Sandra did not live in that area so it made no sense for Ava to be there not to talk about being involved in an accident. Ian was still very convinced that they had called the wrong person until they called his wife name…Ava Lyn Smith. The coffee mug that had been in Ian's hand slip to the ground and shattered to pieces. His eyes widened in shock as his heart thumped in fear and anxiety and every other emotion in between. He was unsure of how he had been able to get to the hospital. He could not remember getting into the cab, couldn't remember getting to the hospital. Everything felt unreal, even that moment, Mr. Crown berating and threatening him felt unreal…like a bad dream that he unfortunately couldn't wake up from. Ava…his first love…his only love…how? Ian bemused as the wealthy Mr. Crown raved on. “You better pray that your stupid wife dies instead of my daughter!” He yelled, this snapped Ian into reality. Without thinking about the consequence, Ian seized the loud boisterous billionaire by the collar of his shirt and launched punches to his head. “How dare you say that?!” Ian yelled as he gave the blows. The image of his wife dead, the image that the cocky wealthy man had placed in his head with his callous words intensified Ian already brewing anger. The anger Ian felt was more towards himself but Mr. Crown was a worthy recipient. Ian was convinced that it was his fault, that if he had been a real man, if he hadn't had the accident, if he hadn't lost his job then Ava would be alright. The emergency doctors had handed him Ava's purse, he had pulled out a small brochure from it, it was obvious that she had only left the house to attend a job interview. If he had not lost his job Ava would not be in the ICU fighting for her life. Ian continued to dish out punches to Frederick Crown, resisting ever attempt that people made to save the man from his grasp. “Take it back! Take your words back!” Ian yelled, all he saw was red… hot fiery anger. “If you don't stop we would be forced to throw you out of here!” The doctor yelled, this stopped Ian in his tracks. He quietly placed his fist down and continued pacing. Ian was eventually thrown out of the hospital on Mr. Crown's behest. He was however unwilling to leave the surrounding area, he stood outside the hospital's gate yelling for the security to let him in. Inside the hospital building, Mr. Crown was inconsolable, the thought of Melanie dying was unthinkable. Ever since she was a little girl, she has been the center of his existence, the only reason why he has stayed alive all these years. Yes Melanie could be a bit mean and spoiled sometimes… a lot of the times but he she was all he had left and he was willing to spend his dying breath catering to her every needs. He looked to his left to see Calvin, Melanie's betrothal. The last time Frederick had spoken to Melanie was to order her to get married to Calvin. The last time they had spoken, they had both been angry at each other, yelling at the top of their voices. He wanted her to quit her party girl lifestyle and get married to Calvin, he wanted to be done in a week and for children to follow suit. Melanie had yelled, calling him a malicious brut for trying to ruin her life by tying her down in marriage to Calvin who she hated with all her life. For the first time in his life, the first time in her life, Frederick had slapped and yelled at his little princess. Melanie ran of the house in anger before he could apologize and the next thing he heard, she was involved in a ghastly accident and now fighting for her life in the ICU. Frederick flew to his feet when he saw the doctor moving closer. “How is she?” He asked anxiously. “I'm sorry, Mr. Crown…”AVA“She is only allowed to leave this house unless it's with me, is that understood?” Simon said to the new house keeper, Margot.Margot is the sixth one to be hired in just a month. As Ava got better, her craziness increased. The last house keeper, Amber, ran out the door crying and screaming after Ava had lurched a plate of pasta her way. Luckily, the plate had missed Amber by an inch and instead landed on the wall behind her.The red pasta sauce lined Simon's off-white wall as the strings of pasta fell to the ground. The house keeper ran away in fear while Ava sat on the ground staring into space next to the evidence of her crime. After a long night of surgery, Simon walked into the house flaming in anger. Amber, the house keeper had called upset, threatening to file a lawsuit against Ava. Simon had had to pacify her with a huge check. That day, Simon had walked into the house in red hot anger, ready to yell at Ava for how she had gone off on the house keeper. He was ready to unle
AVA Melanie Crown who was so used to living a luxurious life did not know what she had coming now that she had been forced to wear the face of Ava Smith. Ideally, she should have taken over Ava's life with all its poverty, desire and tribulations but her savior (Simon Newman) just wouldn't let her go. He had spent days beside her bed watching every single breath she took, days staring at her beautiful olive-colored skin, looking at her face with its stunning features, her beautiful long eyelashes that fluttered every once in a while as if signifying that she might wake up soon from her long bout of unconsciousness. Simon had watched her all through her unconsciousness, not even wanting to leave her side for a second. He memorized every feature of her face meticulously and before he could stop it the obsession with Ava Smith was built. Simon Newman was now so obsessed with the billionaires daug
Ian thought he had heard wrong, he had to have heard wrong because it made no sense that his wife, the absolute love of his life, the woman he had known since forever was dead…just like that? She was with him the night before, they made love that night, the passion of their love making had lasted till the nest day.He had held her, kissed her…she had smiled at him and told him goodbye before heading out this morning. It made no sense that someone who he had touched and kissed and held closer just some hours ago, was dead. The news did not seem real but it had to be, her death certificate was being presented to him, her name: Ava Lyn Smith was written boldly. Her time of death: 5:44 pm was also written there. He held on to the death certificate with every Fibre of his being, hoping to finally being the sharp pain of grief, hopefully to give his only love the last respect of a tear drop but no tears came…it did not feel real even though it was, even though the sad looking doctor had ju
“We still have to conduct some test but from what we can see, your daughter will be alright Mr. Crown,” The president of the hospital, interrupted the lower-rank consultant. The consultant stared in confusion because that was not what was happening… not at all, he had hurried there to inform Mr. Crown that his daughter's vitals was getting weaker and they would be to conduct a very high risk surgery to give her a fighting chance. He had hurried there to relay the horrible news that Melanie might not survive, that the chances of her surviving the surgery that was meant to keep her alive was very slim so he was just as shocked at Mr. Crown at the president's words.“She's in great hands, Mr. Crown. Your daughter will be good as new in no time,” the hospital's president said to the wealthy billionaire as he rapidly pulled the consultant away.“What were you about to say to him?!” The president fumed at the lower-ranked doctor when they were a distance away from Mr. Frederick. He seized t

Crown magazine is the biggest fashion company in the state, potentially the entire country. It is one that a lot of people grow up dreaming of working in but only a handful of people achieve that dream. The company has been built by a long generation of crown heirs and heiresses. This long legacy began with Sophia Bridges, a poor- lower class seamstress born during the very capitalist Victorian era. The blogs has it that Sophia grew up very poor but soon her fortune changed after she got married to the then widowed Sir Richard Crown who died soon after their wedding and left her with all his wealth.Sophia used this wealth to build and maintain a couture house which became the best in the country. Over the years, decades and eras, this couture house evolved and soon became a big magazine company which is now known as Crown Magazine, owned by one of the richest men in the country; Frederick Crown.Ava took a deep breath and let out a shaky exhale as she stared at herself in the mirro
