We arrived at Chipotle, as Daniel suggested, to grab ourselves something to eat. We sat inside the restaurant as Miguel ordered us some burritos at the counter. Miguel and Daniel almost argued about who was going to pay for the foods. Not because no one was willing to treat us, but because both of them offered to pay for it. So we had an arrangement that Miguel would pay for mine and Daniel would pay for Kourtney. And since this was a Mexican restaurant, Miguel initiated to order the foods. 

Gunshots firing on the splatterburst target had echoed in the open field. Even though I had earmuffs on, the gunshots still pierced in my ears. I threw continuous shots in the head target as a smug smirk crept across my face. When I ran out of ammo, I pulled another magazine inside the holster and pulled the trigger again, but nothing came out. Sighing, I slid the gun back to the holster and removed the protective goggles. I averted my attention to Kourtney who kept missing her shot and crossed my arms above my chest. Sweat was trickling down my forehead and the sunlight that struck my skin caused the heat to gush through me. I’d missed this heat, and my body craved for more. It was like it constantly needed some work out after a short period of break.

“What the— we are not going to Mexico without them,” I complained, frowning at William’s idea. “Listen to me. I pledged an alliance with Arthur Devaraux because I know something unexpected will happen if we negotiate with Fernando. Now, if he finds out that Kourtney was kidnapped, then that alliance is over. We can’t let that happen, so the only way to not give Fernando a suspicion is if I send you to Mexico. Once you’ve finished negotiat

I was in a deep slumber for the entire ride that I hadn’t realized that we’d landed already. Though I’d already slept, it seemed like I had just blinked my eyes and now we were here. It was quick, about an hour or two rides that I honestly didn’t expect. Gwen had woken me up when we arrived and we quickly got off the plane. William’s men, who I barely communicate with, held our luggage. When I roamed my eyes around the place, we were taken to another hangar which wasn’t expected.  

We got out of the car and moved closer to the house that looked just like a freaking castle. It was an old-style house, a bit outdated if you would ask me. But it was gorgeous, dark, and foreboding. It was the house you would expect a beast would live in. The house was surrounded by trees that there were dried leaves that scattered all over their unkempt lawn. The grass had grown tall, maybe because no one was staying here and no one looked out for their house. The hedges that ran along the front of their house also looked dehydrated, and they weren’t the luminescent green color we’d always had at our home. This looked more like a haunted mansion that no one would ever dare to stay here for long.
