CHAPTER FIFTY- ONE- EMERGENCY
LEONEL POV We arrive at our place. I can see Joenabell, no, Joanabe uncomfortable in her seat. She shivers while waiting patiently. I can't keep myself down too. I want to know more, no, everything about her.  I unbuckle my seatbelt. I open the door and open hers too. She politely smiles as thanks indirectly to me. I turn my back, but a force pulls me to a hug. Joanabe hugs me tightly, but it is like I am squeezing in her arms. "Joanabe..." I gently hug her back and caress her.  "Leonel, no..." She tells me in a weak voice. I wonder what's up with her. "Joenabell... you are squeezing me tighter. I can't breathe." I patted in her back softly and repeatedly. Until she realizes her actions and flusters. I smirk at her troubled face. She even looks prettier wearing that kind of face. I must be joking to myself.  She removes her hands that are wrapp

CHAPTER FIFTY- TWO- ACCIDENT
CHERYL POV *I AM GETTING ANXIOUS ABOUT THIS.* I see Kane running with the keys in his hands. He looks frustrated. I chase after him, "Honey, what's wrong?" I pull his hand to make him look at me.  He looks at me with blazing eyes. "What's happening?" I ask in a shaky tone.  "Joenabell won't open her door to me. I am getting impatient, Honey." He speaks to me while knocking at Joenabell's room. The knock is getting louder and faster, but I did not hear Joenabell responding inside. Kane bangs his hand on the door that makes me startle.  I try to calm him down because his hand reddens. "Stay calm, Honey. Don't scare our child. She must be sleeping." I try to defend my daughter against his wrath because this is the first time I see Kane losing control.  "She could answer me when I tried to knock on her door properly," He points it out to me. I

JOANABE (JOENABELL) POV Leonel drives me to the hospital.  Without getting into the traffic jam, we arrive in the hospital in less than an hour.  I unbuckle my seatbelt and open the door to get out of the car. He looks at me with a nervous face. I give him a weak smile to lessen the heavy atmosphere. It is time to face Kane, and I must be ready for his wrath.  "Should I go with you?" Leonel asks in worry. I shake my head at him because I do not want to put him into this mess. This is my problem. I should be the one who faces and fixes this.  "Be careful in your way," I tell him before closing the car door, but he grips in my wrist. "I want to stay with you." He says in a firm voice.  "I will be fine, Leonel. You can give me a call after everything is well," I hold his warm hand in my wrist by my other hand. His hand doesn't want to le

I see Cheryl sighs in frustration. I think she is aware of where she is. *DID SHE HEAR ME OR NOT?*  The things I said earlier make me confused if she hears me. I lick my lip to attempt to say a word, but Cheryl says, "Joenabell? Is that you? Is that you, my child? Her eyes shine in tears as she feels delighted to see me beside her, but her voice sounds sadness. It makes me feel so sorry for her.  "It's me, Mom. I am sorry...I am sorry," I whimper while bowing my head in guilt.  "Joena-Jeonabell, baby. Please, don't leave me," She cries with me, filling the silent room with our pain. "It's scary, Joenabell. I hate to be on the brink of

Leonel asks in a gentle voice. I clench my hand in determination and nod at him. I blow air in my hands and rub it to make friction.  It is to keep myself warm in this chilly place. "Do you want to tag along?" I indirectly invite him to come with me. I extend my hand, and he takes off his red outer coat to place it to my shoulder. I reciprocate it with a big smile.  "How many coats did I give you to keep you warm for free?" He sounds sexy in a way that makes my heart leap. He keeps telling me cheesy lines, and it bothers me because he is acting as a boy stuck in his crush. I feel shaky inside as everything seems to be unclear to me. Why would Joanabe end up being Joenabell?  I do not know if it is fate who does it, or it is a coincidence. I scan over the cabinet and search in every corner. I found a piece of blue cloth wrapping something inside.  *WHAT IS THIS?* It intrigues me and wants me to open it.
