Emerald.. Sat in front of my laptop at the desk in the living room, looking at my mails, I was deep in thoughts about James instead. What we had had grown more and more that I started to think about making it official. But things always went south when it became official and that could change everything.

Emerald Starting into our apartment, I bent a little to take off my tight flats. It was almost midnight when we got home and with the whole happenings, Sophia decided to spend the night. ‘’I never want to be in a situation like that again,’’ Sophia blurted and Mimi tsked, waving her off as we all went to the living room.‘’You weren’t even interrogated and you are complaining, she was supposed to be Emerald’s friend.’’ She jumped on the couch. ‘’I went because Emerald was going through a hard time and still ended being interrogated.’’Sophia sighed, sitting on the same couch as Mimi and I yawned, too lazy to contribute to anything.Mimi squinted at me and then her eyes clicked like she had remembe

EmeraldI blinked rapidly staring at her mom and the man and Mimi looked at me with a blank expression before tears formed in her eyes.Sandra was really gone. I still couldn’t believe it. It didn’t seem like her parents were acting either. My shoulders fell back being too weak and Mimi came close to assist me back up. I put my hand on my chest, feeling the deep cut in my heart. I could feel her absence. I started to think about the first time I met her at the diner up till the very moment when I got fired. She accompanied me to the bathroom, pleading that I helped her friend out with her shift. Her dark blue eyes were still in my head and how beautiful she looked giving a puppy eyes. She was beautiful and sweet. A little bit reserved but low-key fun when she wanted to be. I was in the process of getting to know her more and it still surprised me how close she thought I was to her that she called me inst

EmeraldThe harsh breeze came upon my skin giving me goose bumps and making me feel more overwhelmed than I already was. The only ever burial I had attended was for my mom’s elder sister who had died in a car accident fourteen years ago. Though as a child back then, I could sense the oddness of the atmosphere with people crying and dressed in all black and really dark shades. Flowers that were dropped on the casket with so much sadness and hurt rather receiving a rose from a lover on Valentine’s.Mimi squeezed on my shoulder, trying to sooth me. James was on my left hand side too, holding me slightly by the waist. He was as sad as the rest of us. Who came to a burial excited anyway? There were days to mourn and make you think about what you plan to do for the rest of your life. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted but I definitely didn’t want to die and have my friends a

Mimi Whining my waist softly to the beat in the midst of the crowd, I found a guy with blonde hair, staring at me with desire written all over his face. It motivated me to twist even more and bend my backside more than necessary. He was on a plain peach colored shirt on jean pants and didn't look like one to approach me. Meanwhile, I was turned at the fact that I was gaining a lot of attention. Since he did nothing but stare like a lost skull, I danced a bit teasing him and then averted my eyes from him. It hadn't been up to a minute when I felt a finger on my shoulder. I almost jerked away until I found out it was him. His turquoise eyes were to die for and were full of lust. I was fully aware of how hot I was and how much I knew how to work my body. It wasn't going to be anything serious if anything because it was already for the wrong reasons.I wanted to feel sexy. He was attracted to me physically. It wasn't the kind of love at f
