...It had taken Ley quite the mental fortitude to stay calm and collected as he boarded a taxi from the seaport of Manila to the bungalow. Several hours already passed since he left the island. The lights all around the city were already flashing to give illumination to every person still not yet home. Throughout the more than an hour drive, Ley remained seated on the backseat with his eyes closed, listening to the prayers and grumblings of people calling out his name. At the same time, he was very alert to any suspicious event in his surroundings. When he was only a kilometer away from the bungalow, he opened his eyes. His face and gaze remained placid. As he drew nearer to the place, he began to feel the unusual aura that was emanating from the house. 'The Goddess visited this residence first?' He slightly furrowed his brows. Ley could sense Hana's presence. However, it also felt unfamiliar to him. Like it belonged to somebody entirel

Most of the time, people were careful about the wrong things while outside, watching out for road signs and slopes, checking for dangerous turns or any annoying roadblocks. Yet at times, they tend to be neglectful of the expressions of those they might come across. People tend to ignore the fact that road accidents were not always about cars colliding against one another or bumping into a tree. It was also not only about a ghost popping out of nowhere. Sometimes, it was simply the types of people one met in the streets. T

...Forest fairies were beings that were birthed by nature. Unlike the Tree Deity of the North who only managed to ascend and gain sentience through the unceasing faith energy gotten from his worshippers in that mountain, forest fairies were Anitos since birth. They did not need to be nourished by the wishes and prayers of mortals to ascend. The reason for this was that they were originally from the second layer. The forests there had trees and flowers that had collected divine energy from nature for thousands of years. Sometimes, these plants and trees had the luck to be graced by the presence of Skyworld deities managing the area. Due to this, the forest fairies that emerged from them became arrogant and began to believe that on Earth, there were no other superior race other than theirs. Forest fairies believed that they were created by the high gods. Of course, even though this race was arrogant, they were not stupid. Passed down from their ancestors was the k

"You are injured?" A child's voice echoed in that place. Trees were ever present. But thankfully, the ones nearby were not one housing a few forest fairies. When Ley briefly checked the surroundings, there was only one forest fairy near him which was a little girl whose eyes gleamed of both curiosity and puzzlement as she gazed at him. She was wearing a skirt made of leaves and flowers while her long hair covered her front. Ley stepped back. 'We're far, right... This girl would not suddenly shout to call for others, right?' The bead of sweat that ran down from his forehead to the left side of his chin was not only due to pain, but also due to the anxiousness that suddenly struck him. The little female forest fairy noticed it. Tilting her head, she roamed her gaze, passing along the row of fairy houses that were off to the distance. She then walked with her short and slim legs. When his vision turned a bit

...While Ley was having one of the most nerve-wracking time of his life from realizing that he was now truly surrounded, the one on the island had been in a lethargic mood ever since he was left to defend it by himself. Fernando was like Ley in a sense that he did not really warm up fast to the two kids. Old age made him more carefree, yet also cautious. The jolly attitude he put on was just a facade. He was not stupid to not know that something was amiss with Ley because in a nutshell, Hana and him would not become Anitos if not for being with him when the attack on the Underworld happened. However, he was quicker than Ley to treat the Hevel house as his new family. Maybe because, he was really old, and he wanted people to care for him and talk to him, something that his actual family, the one he left behind in the mortal world, would no longer be able to provide. 'Ley, Hana, and the others are not bad to be with. I also instantly became one
