Michael thought that Sei would return with the blood packs. The black snake demon replied that he would so Michael went back to a nap. However, the vampire was woken up by his coffin shaking. He didn't know what was going on but it definitely wasn't an earthquake. He tried to get out of the coffin but somebody had locked the lid.Panicked, Michael slammed at the sides of the coffin and shouted at the people moving him to let him out. Around him, he heard Sei telling the strangers to collect his other belongings. Michael was confused because he didn't sense any ill-intentions or threats. Just what exactly was his roommate up to?"Sei! What the heck is going on?"The black snake demon grinned. "You're getting evicted. The dorm manager said that you've been assigned to a different dormitory so just shut up and wait till you get there. It's easier to carry you in that coffin than forcing you to walk so just go back to sleep or something. I placed the blood packs ins

"There he is!" a rat omega squealed. "Isn't he dreamy with his long flowing turquoise hair and eyes?"His friend the colourful parrot omega glanced at the beautiful siren prince and pulled the other omega away, lowering his voice. "Have you not heard? He's the defective alpha."Puzzled, the rat omega asked for more details. In this academy, weren't only the prestigious or talented selected for enrolment? How could there be a defective alpha? He simply couldn't believe that someone so stunning would be flawed."What are you thinking?" the parrot hissed at his friend. "Not that kind of defect. Don't you know who he is? He is Syris, the fifth Siren prince of Atlantis!"The fifth prince of Atlantis was famous not for his beauty or title. If anything, he was one of the only alphas who didn't have any admirers. Rumours said that Syris attended the Academy only because he lost the favour of his family. It wasn't an honour for Syris to attend the Academy, in fact

"Where were you?" Syris' loyal bodyguard and friend asked. "Classes are almost over."The siren prince smiled at his shark merman friend. "Visiting Zinnia," he said.Bruce was surprised. "Did you break something again? Who was it? I'll beat them up for you!""No, nothing of that sort!" Syris hurried to stop his hot-headed friend. After putting up with so much bullying from home and during the first month at the Academy, Bruce was very protective of him even though they were both alphas. Syris often felt inferior to his warrior friend even though he was of noble birth. Sometimes, he envied the rash merman for being able to stand for what he believed in.To prevent the shark merman from going berserk on the wrong people, Syris quickly explained about the elf with large ears he tried to help earlier. "He ran away so quickly that I couldn't return his glasses. However, I didn't feel good about returning his glasses after they got damaged by the other omegas b

Floopy was enjoying the silence in the greenhouse and thinking of a new song. Amanda had requested for a new musical to be performed because she was bored. It had been a while since the last musical and the archmage was dying for new entertainment in this boring time crack. Asahina was slightly apologetic when she came looking for him to pass on Amanda's new request. Truthfully, Floopy didn't mind. He would not have minded writing songs every day if the principal wanted it. Composing music was his greatest joy and it would be great if he could stay in the Academy forever and not just five years. Asahina left Floopy the special access card to the forbidden forest that only a few special students were allowed to enter. For Floopy, it was his favourite hideout and also the place that he could forget about everything for a while. The forest had always been a sacred place for faes and being kicked out of his home meant that Floopy was currently homeless. Without a forest

It was dark and almost everyone was asleep in the academy. Floopy was in a good mood and his blind roommate could tell by the humming of an unfamiliar song."Is that for the musical?" Klick Batley asked but Floopy didn't reply. The panotti was too absorbed in his fantasy of having the first good day since coming to the Academy."Earth to Floopy!" the bat threw a well-aimed eraser at the dreamy musician's head and that effectively made him snap out of the trance."Huh?"Not impressed, the bat demon crawled over to Floopy's bed and hugged his friend tightly. "Tell me! What's made you so happy today? Did someone confess to you?"Floopy smiled and shook his head. "Nothing like that. I just met someone nice."Interested, Klick demanded for details. For someone to not bully the panotti and was even nice to him? That's rather rare and a cause for celebration! Then again, the bat was worried. What if this person was simply nice to Floopy because the

Klick was revising for tomorrow's test when Floopy returned. He was slightly surprised because the composer was back earlier than expected. Was his inspiration really good? How did he finish composing an entire ensemble piece in less than an hour?"Did it go well?" the bat demon asked but didn't receive a reply. Instead, he heard Floopy throw himself on the bed with a sniffle.Alarmed, Klick put down his books and went over. "Hey," he approached with a soft voice. "What's wrong? Did someone bully you on the way?"Floopy shook his head and cried harder. How could he put this into words? The sound of Syris' screaming still haunted his ears and Floopy hugged Klick who was taller than him. The bat demon bent down awkwardly and sat on the small boy's bed, patting his back and pushing his ears out of the way. Floopy might be bullied a lot but he never bawled like this before and the roommate found himself worrying if things had gone too far."What happened?"

Writing a letter to Syris was more nerve-wracking than getting approval from Amanda about the new musical. Floopy had discarded more than ten drafts and Klick remained silent, trying to not add more pressure to the panicking panotti who didn't think he was eloquent enough."I'm done! Klick, give me some opinions?"The bat demon stopped his revision, It should be around three in the morning now and Floopy still hasn't revised for tomorrow's test. The panotti was going to fail at this rate being sleep-deprived and labelled stupid when the test results came out again."What did you write?" he tried to keep his voice even and Floopy cleared his throat."Dear Prince Syris, you have a great personality and are very kind. Thank you for fixing my glasses and sorry that I ran away. If it doesn't bother you, could we become friends?"Klick deadpanned. "Are you sure this is what you want to send?" Clearly Floopy knew that it defeated the purpose of an anonymo

The test was easy and Floopy let out a sigh of relief after the papers were collected. Klick was fast asleep even though it was lunch and the panotti left a note for his friend before sneaking out of the classroom. He was going back to the greenhouse for lunch before the bullies could steal his food.At the greenhouse, Floopy's stomach growled and the panotti dug into his meal quickly. He spent the time listening to the sound of nature and thought about how he could write a song that would suit Prince Syris. Although he had damaged his vocal cords badly, Floopy thought that there was an unusual charm to his voice that was different from the other creatures and stage actors.Syris' talking voice was like wool. It was warm and a little scratchy but soft to the ears and very pleasing to listen to. Due to the damage done to his cords, Floopy wasn't sure how the original voice sounded like. While it didn't seem like Prince Syris was going to have a very honey-like voice or

Klick was worried. Floopy had refused to go anywhere else apart from classes and back to his room. The composer was so absorbed in making the 'perfect song' that he started neglecting his meals and sleep. It had been going on for a few days and Klick had never seen his friend in such a state. It was worrying."Come on, you have to sleep."Floopy ignored the bat demon. "One last round," he mumbled and looked through the sheet music again. Today was the fifth day and Floopy did a lot of research about rap music. He even thought about the entire choreography for the musical that featured Syris as his muse. This was the theme song and he wanted it to be flawless when he delivered it to Syris.Knowing that his little friend wouldn't budge, Klick sighed and went to bed on his own. There was no use in persuading Floopy to do otherwise, the panotti was dead set on writing the best love song in the world. Who was he to stop a friend who was serious in the pursuit of love

To save his friend from crying at the bad news, Klick spent the whole night thinking of a good way to make Syris come to Floopy instead. Knowing that the panotti had low self-esteem but great musical talents, Klick decided to propose for Floopy to make the song without vocals so that they could turn this undelivered song into an advertisement over the academy's radio program.Floopy cheered up when he heard that it wasn't Prince Syris who rejected his songs but the shark bodyguard who was overly protective. Not wanting Klick to get eaten by the foul-mood shark merman, Floopy agreed to go with a different approach. He wasn't going to give up on helping Syris secretly. One good turn deserves another. The duo worked hard with Klick attending classes and buying food on Floopy's behalf. After classes, Klick would teach Floopy what he missed during lessons and the composer would eat what Klick brought him. When he wasn't eating, sleeping or studying, Floopy was writing songs
