Gwyneth’s POV"Why didn't you tell him?" Alex asked when I finally had the guts to talk to someone about what happened. I stared at the food in front of me. Why? "Tell me." I am a coward for not saying what I truly feel. I know. Maybe I was too afraid that he won't feel the same way anymore. I am so scared to hear from him himself that he no longer loved me. I don’t want to hear because I can’t accept if ever. "It's not that simple." He exaggeratedly rolled his eyes and groaned. "Ugh! He loves you, you love him so what's complicated there? You're the only one who makes it so complicated.” I sighed. Yes, Kalex told me that he loves me several times but that was before he knew that we have a son. Even though I wanted to marry him, I still can't say yes because he can't even look me straight in the eyes. "I don't really understand you." Alex sighed and

Gwyneth’s POV"Mommy are you ready?" I just stared at myself in front of the mirror and when I saw that my clothes were a bit tangled, I immediately fixed it. "Mommy let’s go! Daddy is waiting!" I took a deep breath before facing Jase who had been bored while waiting for me to get finished. I just can’t help not to feel anxious about my outfit since we’ll be meeting with Kalex. I should look decent and elegant even just for today. I wanted to impress him and this is a great way to start.  "Baby, what do you think of my outfit? Do I look good? What about the color? Does it suit me very well?" My eyes widened when Jase snapped at me. And when else did my son learn to do this? I knew it. Alex shouldn't be the one taking care of this little dude, the amount of chastity that Jase is learning. "Where else did I got my visual if it weren’t for you? You’re pret

Gwyneth’s POV I walked into the building and went straight to Kalex's office. I can sense all those stares from the people here. I know others here know me because I was once Kalex’s high school friend. Maybe that’s also the reason why some of them were staring at me.  I just ignored them because I have nothing to do with them anyway. I came here because of Kalex and they weren’t my goal. I also hate people looking at me, as if spotlight was pointing at me as of this moment. It looks like I’ll be their topic once I turned my back at them. These dumb as* has really nothing to do instead of focusing on their work. Tch.  While walking to Kalex’s office I came across a kid chasing a ball. He was running and not looking to where he's going so I tried to avoid but he still collided with me, causing him to fall to the floor. Awts. His back must be hurt. “A

Gwyneth’s POV "Quir?" He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that I'm okay. "You scared me back there." He said and shook his head. "I'm sorry. She just came out of nowhere." Said a man approaching us. He seems to be the driver of the car. He helped us stand up. "I really didn't see you." The man approached me. "Are you hurt? Should I bring you two to the hospital?" "No. We're fine." Quir replied with a smile and then they talked. He glanced at me before shaking hands with the driver who said goodbye. "So, what are you doing here besides killing yourself?" He joked. I was embarrassed to close my eyes because of his question. "I haven't seen it." Is this man like everyone who sees me like this? I looked up at him when he chuckled. Since Quir is much taller than me he put his hands on top of my head and beamed at me. "Let's get some

Gwyneth’s POV "Sorry you had to wait." Kalex said as he took the seat in front of me. I stared at him intently while calling the server to give him coffee. Short stubbles are starting to grow on his chin. There are bags under his eyes and his hair is too long. To some, I'm sure he looked fine, but I know him too well to see that he's not. That's not the Kalex I know. These past few days must've been hard for him. I was making it hard for him. "What do you want to talk about?" He asked after his coffee was served in front of him. His eyes made its way to mine, but then he immediately looked away. To this day he still can’t look at me. "I'll go straight to the point." He nodded as he mixed his coffee. "I heard you ... at the bar. I heard what you said to Demitri." That made him look at me. His eyes are full of guilt that confirmed that everything I

Gwyneth’s POV "Excellent job, Gwyn." I beamed at as he opened his arms and I ran towards him to hug him. He picked me up and turned me around. "I did it!" I shouted at him and we were both laughing. "The senator loved the theme for the party ... he loved everything." They even popped a confetti for me. One of our officemates opened a bottle of wine to celebrate and gave me one. "Cheers to Gwyneth!" After months of preparing one of the biggest events of the year, I'm just so glad I finished the job. Who would have thought that I would host a politician's birthday party? I've been the event manager of big business men in the country but the aura is still different when your clients are influential in the Philippines. I met the president, the vice president, and even celebrities last night! That’s how big was the event that I organized and I'm happy to see the proud look

Gwyneth’s POV "Why are you so quiet?" Quir asked me as we ride the elevator. I was on my way down earlier when I ran into him and he asked me to have lunch with him.  "Jase is with Kalex now and I don't have anything to do because I've already made all the proposals for my next event. I just need to submit." I sighed. This has always been my problem ever since Kalex and I had an agreement. When Jase isn't by my side I can't do anything so I usually just read a book until I fall asleep. Everything's just boring whenever Jase's not at home. Quir and I decided to eat outside the company. Sometimes the food is also boring because the menu is almost always the same. "So I was thinking, how about we go out tonight?" He asked as we eat at one of our favorite place near the hotel. It's delicious here in case there's majesty so we only eat here when new wages.

Kalex’s POV "Mommy you're going with us tomorrow, right?" Jase asked Gwyn again as he draws on his book. I peeked at my son's ipad to see Gwyn's face. She's as beautiful as ever. "Yes baby, how many times have you asked me that already? You silly kid!" I can't help but to chuckle as I chop the vegetables for our dinner. Jase quickly glanced at me and grinned. "I'm just reminding you mommy in case you forget." I shook my head. Jase just reminded Gwyn for the third time in fifteen minutes since they started talking. He was actually referring to her school activity. Since it's family day, parents are requested to attend the said event with their child at school. Jase has been talking about it since he learned that Gwyn and I are both going. I refuse to be absent on his first family day. They talked for an hour. I love hearing their voice and their funny conversations, especial

Kalex’s POV "What's up?" Demitri asked as he sits in front of me. I asked him if he could come because I needed someone to talk to. I need someone who could knock some sense out of me. "Where's Jase?" "Upstairs. Sleeping." I replied before I took a sip from the glass of whiskey in my hand. I know he's waiting for me to start talking but I fucking don't know where to fucking start. "It's about Gwyneth, isn't it?" He asked when I didn't say anything. My chest tightened by the mere sound of her name. I miss her. I miss calling out her name and how she smiles at me in the morning. "She's ... she's leaving tomorrow." I said in a low voice as I remember what she said five days ago. I don't even know how long she'll be gone. I was afraid to ask. My mind went crazy by just the thought of her leaving with that fucker and all I ever said to her was that she doesn't need to worry ...

Gwyneth’s POV I woke up with the clamorous knocking on my door. I looked at my clock; it's already 11 in the evening. Who would bother to visit me at this time? I don’t even know why I was on my out to see me at this hour when in fact I still had to sleep because my flight will be early tomorrow at five in the morning. I was still yawning while rubbing my eyes as I walk to the door. "Gwyn! Gwyneth! Are you there?!" My yawning stopped and my eyes widened when I heard Kalex's loud voice. I immediately ran towards the door thinking that something might have happened to Jase. "Kalex?" he was sweating and gasping as he put his hands on his knees to support himself. He's wearing his usual sleeping clothes, his jersey short and a white cotton shirt. "What are you doing here? Why are you gasping?" "I ... took ... the ... stairs." He said as his chest is heaving from the gasps. It took me a second
