There were two voices speaking Russian. "I swear, mama oughtta slap you silly for that." "Sashka, I swear, if you are stupid enou-" the voice halted his reply to the similar sounding one. "Is that..." "Lilac?" a voice questioned and the gentle touch of a hand on my shoulder suddenly arrived. I didn't move and had stopped crying when this happened. "What should we do?" "We should carry her to-" "I'm fine." I blurted out, cutting off the words of whoever spoke, raising my head from my arms where it was tucked. The two, who were Sashka and Mishka, which is which, I didn't know for certain, seeing my definitely blotchy face, knit their brows and had their expressions soften. "What's wrong?" the one to my right asked. "Do you need us to do anything?" the one on my left added, his softened features hardening with anger. "I'm telling you, the kings joined the football team because of Lilac!" Gail exclaimed, sitting atop my shared table with Kai, who happened to be catching some z's with his head and arms on the vacant side of the table."But don't you think it's too petty, even for them, to join the football team all to catch Lilac's attention?" Nina furrowed her brows, making Gail roll her eyes. "Honey, they're the kings of petty if you've forgotten.""Sure but, to what gain?" she questioned again."I only see it this way, they 1) want a reason to approach her when she's cheering Tommy in the bleachers, 2) want a reason to gang up on her on a singular occasion, 3) they want to flaunt their physiques in unnecessary ways because they're all arrogant farts."Nina and Gail looked at each other with looks sold with those reasons, while Cece groaned and rolled her eyes. I was whisked away to my locker where Marcus then looked at me expectantly. "Well, chop chop, we have to Science class to get to." I narrowed my eyes at him and groaned. Nonetheless, I switched out what was inside my bag and placed it with all that I needed. Apparently that was enough for Marcus to have a smug looking face.  Just as I zipped my backpack up, I was quickly dragged off somewhere else. I whined and tried to fight back, but he had a good grip and I just couldn't break free.   Once he was satisfied with our location, which happened to be the hallway where I first encountered this particular king, he looked at me and crossed his arms. "Since I'm going to be your partner in science, you should know we have a project coming up and I think we should do it at my place." "What?" "Don't be intimidated, I'm a Frenchman; etiquette was invented in my country." I knit my brows at that. "Mar
