Eric stretched his hand to the other side of the bed and noticed it was cold and empty. He slowly opened his eyes and Annie was nowhere to be found on her side of the bed.Eric adjusted the duvet and made his way out of the bed. His first stop was the bathroom but Annie was not there. He was about to go downstairs to go look for her when something caught his attention. He heard someone singing; He followed the voice and traced it to their baby’s bedroom where he found Annie sitting on a rocking chair beside the window.

Evelyn Ivan-James sighed as she pulled up in her second daughter’s driveway. She had come to see Lucia. She received a letter from Lucia’s College. It was a mail of concern. She was told Lucia had not been attending classes for almost two months and she did not show up for her test and exam. The head of school was concerned because Lucia was known for her academic excellence. They tried to get in touch with Lucia but they did not succeed so they sent a letter to her parents wanting to know if everything was okay.Evelyn was the first to see the mail. “Babe you look different, you’re glowing” Ella exclaimed as she hugged Annie once more.Annie chuckled. “I guess that’s what happens when you take a vacation.”“I need to warn Eric not to take you away for that long. Gosh, Annie, three weeks without me talking to you. Damn, I almost died.” Ella said which made Annie chuckle.

Days Later“Good evening Nora.” Eric greeted as he walked into the kitchen with his work clothes on.“Welcome Son.” She smiled at him. “How was your day?”

Annie made sure she set her alarm before she fell asleep. She woke up when it rang, said her morning prayers, thanked God for everything and committed her wedding day to God’s hand. Then she proceeded to the bathroom to do her business. She dried herself and got into her underwear and covered herself with her robe.Immediately she walked out of the bathroom there was a knock on the door. She opened the door and saw her mom and soon to be mother in law standing there with bright smiles on their faces.
