Chapter Eleven: Curiosity leads to what?
"One more lapse, soldiers, and you can finally take some rest!" I yelled to order the soldiers running around the oval running track. I watched them closely as they made their way to finish the 1000th laps. Rise and shine. The dusk has appeared just in time they finished their lapses. "Good job! You can have your breakfast," I said then turned my back on them. I saw Commander Bricks walking in my direction. I tilted my head and met him half the way. "Commander Bricks Walter, greetings!" I nodded my head. He also nodded his head. "Good morning, Commander Rachelle Simon! Are you done tiring them?" he asked with a sheepish smile on his lips. Then he looked at my soldiers who were very tired and laying in the ground. "Commander, you are so strict..." He chuckled. I shrugged. "I trained myself with this method. I always run 1000 lapses every day." I looked at him, scrutinizing him. "Don't say I am strict

Chapter Twelve: How Strict
"Four hundred fifty-six..." I watched with a stoic expression as one of my privates named Private Inkstone doing the five hundred push-ups. He was near to finishing. I am very sure he could finish it. "Faster!" I ordered him. He was making some rest. I don't want him to get a little rest. I want him to finish it ahead. "You are so slow, private! Finish it already!" "Yes, commander! Four hundred sixty-five..." he counted as he pushed up and down. He must be thankful that his punishment is five hundred push-ups. I had experienced being punished by making rounds around the palace for the whole day. I was punished because I snapped on my own commander for always ordering me around. After that happened I was relocated to another troop and a new commander for my former commander couldn't handle me well. "Five hundred!" he shouted in rejoice and laid in the ground, catching his breath.

Chapter Thirteen: A Sudden Heat
I rushed back to my other comrades and met them half-way. With their forehead creasing, I stopped them. They all returned to their human form. "Did you catch up with him?" asked Lieutenant Commander Lycan. I shook my head. "I didn't. He was too fast," I lied. I caught up with him and even managed to speak with him. "How's Commander Bennett?" I asked, diverting the topic. "He is alright. He didn't get any bruise," Commander Bricks answered. He approached me. "Are you alright? Why are you massaging your head?" he asked worriedly. I smiled wryly. "I bumped my head to the culprit's jaw a while ago," I said as I kept on massaging my head. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." "We should head back, Simon, Walter." "Yes, sir!" Walter and I said in unison. We all headed back. I slightly turned my head as to where Claude ran off. I am quite worried as to w

Chapter Fourteen: Patrolling Schedule
I was having my soldiers undermine to run circling the whole palace for a hundred times along with the other commanders. My comrades entrust them to me to strictly advise them for their training. The first one who managed to complete the course was Private Ylea. She was now running towards me. That made me impressed. "You have excellent speed and endurance, Private Ylea," I praised. Private Ylea's face lightened up from my compliment. "Yes, Commander Rachelle! Every day, I improved my stamina for speed and endurance." I smiled at her answer. "That is good to know, private. You can have your rest and take some water over there," I said pointed the hundreds of pitchers prepared by the palace staff for the soldiers. "Yes, Commander!" She saluted me then ran back to the table. The next soldiers that were coming were soldiers under my wing. It was a good thing that I made them do this

Chapter Fifteen: Something New
I am quite disappointed right now that Fleet Admiral Francisco wouldn't let me assign near the antechamber. This could have been my chance to see the whole family of the Grand Alpha King. They were tightening the securities right now and only a few were allowed to guard near the antechamber right now. One of the reasons that I couldn't guard the antechamber because I was from the special rank already. I was one of those people who would serve as night watchers. I was guarding the lake near the borders in case rogues would dare to step their filthy paws near the borders of the Waevalon Kingdom. I stood up and leaned my hand on the tree while I was at one of the strong branches of a tree, wordlessly gazing at the reflection of the moon in awe. I was alone here where I chased Claude. My eyes cemented to the direction as to where Claude disappeared to. The direction he went to was where rogues usually appeared to attack the Waevalon Kingdom.

Chapter Sixteen: Supervisor
My breath hitched when he introduced himself. Claude Hackworth? So that is his true name? I couldn't believe it. Claude was just right in front of me. My wolf was howling again and again upon seeing Claude. Our mate has come to see us! she said, jumping in joy. I cut her off and ignored her joyous whims. I shivered as I felt Claude's wolf trying to make contact with us. I could hear the soft purring of my wolf that I really tried to ignore. Sir Abraham cleared his throat to focus our attention on him. "Rachelle," he called. Hesitant, I stood up. My eyes were locked with Claude but I looked away. I focused my eyes on Sir Abraham. "Y-Yes, sir?" Shit! I freaking stammered. He glanced at me. "We have already helped Sir Claude to stroll around inside the perimeters of the palace. Since you are the leader of the night watchers as well as one of

Chapter Seventeen: Night watchers
"I don't get why you have to come with me," I said, lowering my voice and jumped to my usual spot. Claude also jumped on my usual spot which made me want to bark at him. And now, we were facing one another. "I should be following you since you are assigned with me, correct?" I frowned at his question and approached him. "Mind you that you are the reason why we have to watch out from day to evening. You almost assassinated my comrade," I said in a lowered voice which only the two of us could hear my words. Claude formed a sly smile. "Mind you are also doing this because our Alpha King is coming surprisingly." He wiggled his eyebrows. "What?" I furrowed my forehead. "No... The Alpha King must suppose to have a grandiose entrance not the other way around, Sir Claude." "What?" His eyes widened and stepped back a little. He clenched his hands. "What do you mean by

Chapter Eighteen: Just Some Mere Touch
I was yawning back to my room after I grabbed my late brunch. Earlier this morning, I couldn't sleep because of the fact that Claude was already here. My wolf won't let me sleep as I was tossing myself in the bed. Fortunately, today was my day off. That means I could go back to sleep. I laid down in my bed comfortably upon arriving in my room. I was about to cover myself with my blanket when I heard a loud banging in my door. Not only that, I felt myself shivering as I smelled the familiar smell from someone I knew. I groaned silently and covered my ears with my pillow to not hear the loud banging. "Open the door, Rachelle, or I'll invite myself in. Harshly." I groaned and pushed myself to move out of my bed. Annoyed, I opened the door only to meet Claude in his casual suit. "What do you want?! Can't you see it's my day off today?!" I barked. "I know. But we

"What? He is leaving soon?" I asked General Abraham, surprised by his news."Yes. In less than five days, he needs to stop being the supervisor of night watchers. The Grand Alpha King needs his presence for urgent matters."I was taken aback by his news because I felt like this was just a bluff

"Are you alright, Commander?"I raised my head. I nodded and smiled at Colette. "Yes, I am fine. Why do you ask?" I asked while we were getting to the forest after we passed by the borders of the kingdom."You seem a little strange today." She looked at me, worried. "A little gloomy, I mean."
