10| Selfish Lust
LACYWith Uncle B, Aunt Coral and Macy gone to work it left me alone in this small house. Being alone made the house seem so much bigger. I was undeniably bored.Uncle B phoned during the course of the day to check up on me. Actually, I wasn't sure if he phoned too check up on me or if he phoned to check if his house hadn't been burnt down yet due to my pathetic cooking skills. He wasn't too far from home anyway. He worked in a near by precinct as a homicide detective. He had seen some pretty wicked stuff over the years of working as an officer of the law. The things people did never ceased to amaze me and for what? Petty things like money?Okay! So money isn't so petty but I wouldn't kill for it. I had seen first hand what money could do to a person. My father's inflated ego was a good example of what money could do to a person. My father thought that there was no one in this world

11| Caged Tiger
LACYMacy, Lucifer and I stood outside the coffee shop as we watched Brian speed off in his fancy car which looked more presentable than his face. He could hardly move his arm once Malik practically pried Macy off him. Evidence of her brutal attack dripped down from his nose.I wondered how hard she slammed his face into the table for Brian's nose to look a slight bit crooked. It was broken for sure and that was probably the reason he yelled so loud. It was probably due to the excruciating pain she inflicted upon him.I didn't feel sorry for him. Rather I felt sad. He spent so much time trying to ruin my life. If he spent at least half that amount of time in showing love to someone then maybe he wouldn't be so lonely. He would actually have some kind of real love in his life.A cold chill suddenly filled the air and I felt my body shiver. The warmth of someone's hands caressing my arms sen

12| She's Crazy
LACYI was mentally and physically exhausted. My body was practically running on caffeine and so was Uncle B's. We hadn't slept the entire night and even though we left Aunt Coral at home to get some rest I was almost certain she hadn't gotten much sleep either considering she would phone up every ten minutes to check on how things were going. We couldn't take Macy home. We had to wait till they set bail for her and then pay that bail and that would only happen during normal working hours. No matter what position uncle B held at this moment he was completely and utterly helpless and I couldn't help but think that I was to blame for this.Macy would have never retaliated like that if she didn't feel as if I were threatened. I should have just told her to stay out of it. I blamed myself and for all I knew, uncle B and aunt Coral probably blamed me too.I laced my fingers behind my head, slouchin

DYLANI had the ball with me but all my teammates were surrounded by our opponents. This was the last game of the season and even though I hated to admit it, this team had some skilled players. With a few seconds left on the clock and no one to pass to, I decided I would aim the ball for the net and just hope for the best. The moment I launched the ball into the air everyone's eyes followed it in anticipation. It felt like everything around me had slowed down. All sounds blocked away as I silently prayed for the ball to go into the net which would signify our win.The ball rolled around the steal rimming that held the net. Everyone was at the edge of their seats in anticipation. I even caught a few people biting at their nails due to all the nervousness. My prayers were finally answered when the ball fell into the net and bounced onto the ground. Everyone remained quiet out of

LACYLucifer's leg taped excessively as we sat in the waiting area of the hospital. The doctor didn't allow us in with Rose because she had a few questions to ask her and it was understandable. All those visible marks on her made me wonder what else those malicious people did to her.Uncle B practically had to hold Lucifer back so he didn't kill that unsympathetic woman for her gruesome actions. She didn't even show a single drop of remorse. It got so much worse when Uncle B hauled her down to the station and she yelled, 'That dumb bitch deserved every bit of what she got!'The moment that ratchet woman allowed those words to fall from her lips I felt the need to rip out each of her hairs one by one. No one deserved that type of treatment, especially not a child! I felt like letting Lucifer kill her wouldn't be such a bad idea after all. There would be no loss to mankind.I w

15| Too Damaged

Being Sunday, it meant that we would all flock to Sunday mass. It wasn't that I didn't like Sunday morning mass but if I went then bumping into my parents and Brian would be inevitable.Imagine that! 16| Horrendous Dress
LACY"You have got to be shitting me!" I drawled out as Macy did a 360-degree turn to show off the hideous dress she chose to wear for my wedding. My eyes nearly rolled out of their sockets and if my mouth had to open anymore I was certain my jaw would dislocate."I shit you not," she grinned a bit too excitedly, "What do you think?"I stared at the dress, analyzing it from top to bottom in a slow manner to take in every inch of the ugly detail. I knew Macy had a soft spot for pink but this dress looked like it belonged in a circus. The dress hugged Macy's waist. It was sleeveless with baby pink material covering the torso and had been decorated in an intricate red and gold rose design which ended just above her thighs. The bottom of the dress had alternate colored frills of yellow and pink, and the trim of the dress was a pink satan that swept the floor. A yellow scarf accompanied the dress w

17| Excruciating Pain
LACYAfter the third venue of the day, I got tired, bored, and very much so annoyed. Brian's hand stayed planted around my hip whilst our wedding planner showed us multiple venues.I didn't miss the way Brian spared glances at her, the way he looked at her, smiled at her, and spoke to her. All in a flirtatious manner. The woman was flattered and clearly enjoyed it because she returned his gestures and even shot him a wink.A smirk was evident on Brian's face because he knew that he was getting under my skin and he loved every bit of it. I wish his behavior didn't affect me but knowing that I was about to marry a man like him destroyed me. He didn't even care that I was right next to him. He was too busy flirting with the woman organizing my wedding. She looked beautiful though. With her long sunset blonde hair and heart-shaped face. Her almond-shaped eyes were as silver as the moon. She had sh

19| Into Confetti
DYLAN'My SonI haven't written to you in a while. I stopped when I realized that I would probably never hear back from you. I'm not even sure if you read my letters. The last I heard, you were in some recovery program for troubled teens with that man, Malik I think. My best bet of you ever reading this letter is if I mail it to him. At the same time, I do not regret what I did. I've spent almost nineteen years in prison for a crime I would commit again if I had the choice. You may resent me but I did it for both you and me.
