Chapter 11

Mel POV“Ugh! I am never doing that again,” I dragged my self from the bed into the kitchen, I was wearing the same clothes from last night and I could feel the dryness on my face from sleeping with makeup on. A hangover was the karma from heavy drinking.I don't remember most of the last night, the last thing I remember was ordering a Moscato, and the rest is blank. I leaned against the wall waiting for the coffee maker to complete whatever the fuck it does. Ting! Finally, I poured myself a cup of coffee, sipping it slowly.“Aye, hangovers always makes me more appreciative of a hot, steaming coffee.”Knock! Knock! And who the fuck could that be so early in the morning. I went to see who it was and what they needed, probably another delivery guy having the wrong door number again. Opening the door, there was a towering man, his grey eyes pierced through my blue ones, his immature growing beard was neatly outlined and his cheekbones

Chapter 12

Damon POV“Lilith?” I mumbled, “Hi, I've been worried sick about you, you ran out of the bathroom so fast the other night, and I didn't get a chance to give...”But Mel cut me off, “So this is Damon? The same you've been crus...”“Classmate! He is my classmate” Lilith yelled, not wanting Mel to continue what she was about to say.“Right, nice to meet you, Damon, Lilith speaks highly of you,” Mel extended her hand towards me.“No I don't, I hardly even know him,” Lilith grumbled. I shook Mel's hand, giving her a luminous smile, “Nice to meet you, Mel.”Fifteen minutes in, and the room was dead silent, this was supposed to be a Lunch where we all got to know more about each other but now, it is making us all uncomfortable, I told Stefan this was a bad idea and I was right.Mel sat across from Stefan and me, scrolling through her phone, While Lilith stood a couple of feet away from us, occasionally glancing at

Chapter 13

Lilith POV“It's almost 7:00 pm, and we haven't seen or heard from them,” I mumbled peeking at the apartment door of the unusual brothers,“Hey,” Mel appeared next to me, rubbing my back, “You think we should check on them?”“No, I think they are ok, I just wish they would at least give us an update,” I said closing the door slowly.“I didn't know the eyes could cause such tremendous pain on anyone,” Mel muttered,“Neither did I, but hey did see Stefans' tat, it was the exact thing like Damons' ”“No I didn't, sorry Lil, and Maybe Damon has ocular herpes,” Mel uttered.“Mel!” I exclaimed.“What? I'm just saying, but you surely weren't kidding when you told me, he was hot,”“No I wasn't and you almost told him that I was crushing on him,”“Well, he is a cutie and but I still think he has ocular herpes,”“But still you were playing matchmaker?” Mel raised her hands in defeat,“I have no

Chapter 14

Stefan POVI stood by the window of the apartment, sipping coffee, gazing outside at the parked cars, it was 8:00 AM and Damon was out on his early morning run. I don't know if it's just me, or I am exhausted, Demons are not like humans, We don't feel temperatures, we don't get tired, and we don't get sick but my body felt weak as if I was visited by a succubus last night and if I was then it must have been a powerful one because I can't recall what was my dream about.Continuing to look outside, I saw Lilith and Mel loading her pink Lamborghini with luggage. I don't... and I think I will never understand humans, why she couldn't settle for a normal car, that Lamborghini only makes her an easy target. I watched as she drove off and Lilith stood watching her as well, maybe she has gone to visit family, or stay with a boyfriend. I know for sure Lilith is going to miss her, she was more outspoken and Lilith

Chapter 15

Lilith POVIt's 10 AM, Mel is off on her trip, and I am here all alone in the apartment. William promised to pick her up himself, but he canceled last minute because something came up, so she had to drive to their usual 'hook up' apartment, at least that's what Mel calls it. She keeps convincing herself that William has a secret house she doesn't know about. I, on the other hand, was looking forward to meeting William but I guess when they get back from their vacation, I will. He seems like a good guy, and Mel loves him, and I am happy for her, she deserves whatever blessing coming her way.I haven't seen Damon since the incident, and I found myself worried about him. And that dream, Ever since last night I felt sore down there. And everything in the dream felt realistic, the kissing, the touching, that way Stefan fondled my breast.Am I to feel weird that I may have grown to like Stefan even though I like Damon at the same time?

Chapter 16

Damon POVI stood in the shower, the water dribbled down my back, still not believing that I am Lilith's mate, well it's not totally unbelievable, many years ago before she was born, The oracle told me I will fall in love with her, the one who will save us all. And I didn't understand what she meant because I loved Eve II, That's before she became smitten with the power which boosted her to overthrow Lucifer, her father. But I loved her regardless, even though Stefan always warned me about her, that I was just an incubus, a second class demon and my gold eyes were the evidence of it. But she was Hell's royalty, a wrath demon and her purple eyes were her authorization over the realm, she had it all. But she craved more, she wanted to control it and everyone within in.And because of her selfishness, the underworld has been fighting a war ever since. Bloodshed for millions of years, and it was us, my that started it. Werewolves, Vampires, W

Chapter 17

Stefan POVI tried everything I could think of, to get Lilith to give in to her abilities, but nothing worked, anger, excitement, lust. But they all failed miserably, telling her about Eve II and Damon was a low blow, but what do I have to lose. I can't remember anything from last night, but she was here, in my dreams. Damon barely said anything to me since he got back from jogging, and it had me wondering, did he know about last night? They are mates, so I was thinking aren't he connected to her? Or probably it doesn't work like the wolves.“Hey,”Damon came out of the shower drying his hair in a towel, “What's up bro.”“Nothing much, I am here thinking,” I mumbled.“Thinking about what?”“Brother, if the supernatural realm finds out about your...newly found love, you're going to be killed, I think you should do something,”“And what are you implying?” Damon asked.“Well, if you two are mates, you need to reject her or what

Chapter 18

Lilith POV“For the last time, Mel, Everything is fine, Why are you calling you've been gone for only a couple of hours You're in the middle of the ocean, Wait...how are you even calling?” I asked.“Because I am at the apartment, Williams is out running errands before we leave,” She mumbled.“Ok, but why are you whispering?”“His parents– his parents are here,” Mel muttered.“Oh! Oh my God... What are they like?” I asked.“Well, they seem nice, but I am nervous”“And that's the reason you're whispering?”“No, it's because... I don't want to be a rude host, so I excused myself to the bathroom, so I could call you.”I took a deep breath, rolling my eyes in annoyance.“Mel, go and bond with your in-laws, I can take care of myself, everything is ok.”“Yea I know but are you ok?” She asked.I paused at her question, Thinking, Am I ok? The simplest question most people cannot answer. No, no I am not, I thin

Chapter 19

Damon POVWalking up to the cash register, I gazed out the window displays, “What's up with the police cars?” I asked a blonde-haired cashier. “There was an incident— after you asked for the keys to the bathroom.“What kind of incident?” I lowly asked. The cashier tipped on her toes, searching over my shoulders, carefully inspecting our surrounding, leaning closer to me, I met her half there, her lips brushing against my ear lobes, “There is a dead body...in the alley next to us,” she whispered.“A human—I... I mean...was it a woman or a man?” I asked, staring into her eyes. She stepped back as a potential customer scanned the aisle behind me, “Employees aren't allowed to comment, and— I haven't got all the details yet anyway, cops even blocked off the area,” she said scanning the lens packets independently.I fold my fists inside my coat pockets, Humans aren't brave enough to openly kill in broad daylight, this sounded like the

Chapter 20

Lilith POV “Hey we have to go back, my— friends are probably in danger,” I turned to face Thomas who had his hands fixed on the steering wheel. “Friends? I thought Mel— was your only friend,” he snickered.I didn't want to tell him about Damon and Stefan, I only knew it was their car because Mel showed to me this morning before she left, “Just turn the car around—please,” I pleaded.“I can't, if I am not mistaken, I saw a CSI van back there, it's a crime scene and the cops can charge me if I park too close...attempt contamination of evidence, and it seems as if they have it under control,”Taking a deep breath, I folded my arms, hoping that whatever happened back there, they are ok.“Sorry— I hope your friends are ok,” “Yea, me too,” I mumbled.Driving towards the center of the city, he came to a stop at a cross-section, “Where I drop you off?” he asked.“Thank you, but here is fine, I will take it f
