Non-aggression Pact
- Death and Lucifer - Lucifer explained everything that happened from when he spoke with Kahvis to his use of grand finale on the business district. Kahvis had left with their team to find out the casualties. The team stayed outside of the tavern while Lucifer and Death discussed inside. "That's everything." Lucifer said, sitting across from Death in the tavern. Death gave a judgemental stare. His displeasure with Lucifer's actions was only barely outweighed by his relief that his friend is okay. He felt himself caught in-between two lines of thinking: yelling at Lucifer for his recklessness, and cautioning him to be more careful. He decided on the latter. "You started a war because of an unknown you just met, nearly killed yourself by flying straight into an explosive barrage, and you think that's it for your explanation?" Death reprimanded. "We won, I lived, so don't act high-a

A Satanic Victory
- Satan - (Far into the past) Satan stands across an exhausted Moloch and Baal who were leaning on their weapons for leverage. The battlefield around them is littered with black and red demon corpses. This was one of many battles the three had with one key difference this time around. "For the last time, you lose." Satan insulted. Moloch and Baal were covered in bloodstained black armor. Baal was missing an arm, Moloch his leg. The two decided to remain adamant even in what was certainly their final moments. "You think this is over? It ain't over till you slaughter every last one of our kind!" Baal yelled. "It doesn't end here. If you think our commanders will just sit back and let you be the demon lord you're a fool!" Moloch spat. A bolt of lightning struck through what was Satan's illusory clone, fading it. Satan who had been flying abo

Doing What's Right
- Death, Lucifer, Saint - The team and Saint had followed Kahvis to their main headquarters on the eastern side of Passage. The area had been covered in illusion magic, with patrolling scouts that had been ordered to keep an eye out for any demons. The base was a collection of square stone huts. Kahvis explained that they wanted to be able to move everything in an instant if they needed to. The eastern border of Passage was right next to the swampy territory of a group of lizard-like beings known as Sergosians. Their kind had a neutral approach to outsiders, believing that if anyone can survive their homeland, they have the right to be there. Kahvis told the team that it was the perfect escape route, if they needed it. "That place isn't friendly to the unprepared you know?" Saint questioned Kahvis. "I know my way around it well-enough to guide others. I have allies there as well, and as unfriendly as

Everyone's Arguments (1)
- Death, Lucifer, Peter - Saint had stayed behind. She told the two that she wanted to speak to Kahvis now before all of them started their planning. The two had been okay with the idea, sure that she wasn't going to pick a fight. Peter decided to walk ahead of the two assuming that they would want to talk on the way back. "I don't think the others are going to be happy that you sent a vampire healer away." Death joked. "I don't care." Lucifer responded in a tired tone. "She's a being with family and friends that care about her, not some rechargeable battery of healing." Death could tell that Lucifer wasn't in the mood to hear jokes, he had tried anyways, hoping to lift his spirits. 'I know how you feel. I wonder how Peter feels about all this though?' Peter knew the moment he saw the demons flood into the city that if they all survived Lucifer was going to s

Everyone's arguments (2)
- Saint and Peter - Peter had been cooling down from his interaction with Oliver. He felt like he should wait before speaking with someone else, afraid that he might say something he regrets. Seeing Saint come his way was almost a worst-case scenario. "I'm about to go help the survivors. Do you want to come along?" She asked. Peter gave a shifting look of confusion and fatigue. He had mentally prepared himself for another argument. Hearing what she said seemed to freeze his thoughts. Saint's look of confusion as she said "Peter?" got him to respond. "Uh, no. I need to go meet with the unknown's commanders." He rubbed his face and sighed. "Thanks for staying by the way. I know ya and Death have problems, and I appreciate ya puttin' them aside for this." Saint had things she wanted to say about her "problems" with Death, but decided against it. Peter wasn't the person to complain t

Greatly Exaggerated
- Lucifer, Peter, Oliver - "You're barely a match for me, so I don't know where ya got the idea to start shit with Luce." Peter mocked. Oliver didn't respond. He took a deep breath in through his nose and exhaled through his mouth. He had a mountain of issues with Lucifer and Peter that had lead him to saying things he regrets. These regrets, however, did not outweigh the decades of grim training he had received. The moment the fight started a switch flipped in his mind, clearing his thoughts and focusing his attention. Peter made the first move. He brought his sword down, aiming for Oliver's head. The attack was blocked, but the sound made from the two weapons made it seem like one of them had been broken. The noise from the clash had the spectators wondering if the two opponents were really human. Peter lifted his sword from the staff and stepped back. Oliver followed him, jabbing his staff forward

Over Reliance
- Yamato, Peter, Oliver - "I'm surprised you know of R'yarj." Yamato said. "How do you know about that?" Oliver asked Peter. "The eldritch are a mystery to most gods." "Hell's library." Peter said. "There's books on just about every bein' in the world. One of the books, written by Satan, is about the eldritch. The book didn't have much in the way of information, but it did mention the eldritch that had the ability to give deals." He sighed. "Satan's obsession with arbiters is one of his few positive traits." Oliver had heard stories of the vast knowledge in Hell's library. Purgatory had its own great library, but even Death has admitted to it not being on the same scale as Hell's. "I never visited the library when I was in Hell." Yamato revealed. "I would have if I had known of its available knowledge." "You were reborn in Hell?" Oliver asked.

Don't Bother
- Death - Death had gone to check on Hrom by himself. He said he had things he needed to think about on his own. 'All basic affinities and he doesn't believe in the equality of all species being possible...' Death was running his hand over Hrom's side. His mind had been split between thinking about Kahvis, and thinking about his plan of attack. He had the most important role in the war, a fact that he fully expected but still worried about. 'How long has it been since you've joined me in battle?' He scratched Hrom. "I know you're there, you can't hide your presence from me!" Death yelled. The humans that had been hiding and watching Death scattered. Normally he would just tolerate their curiosity, but he wanted to be alone. 'Not a single one of you will want to be near me after this battle is over. Your stares of interest will turn into d

Death's Purpose (1)
- Death - With the plans understood by all, Death decided to train. He had an area cleared for him while he practiced, warning everyone not to get close. He wasn't planning on using magic, just that he would be swinging his scythe around with his eyes closed and didn't want to accidentally hit someone. 'I ride in. The first one to try and make contact will probably be Urdros.' He pictured as he swung his scythe upwards. He ran every interaction he could in his head. He had always been an instinctual fighter more than a planner, he decided that this battle would be different. He needed to be better, he didn't want to rely on permanently blighting the land. 'I can tear through the left side and move my way right to assist Lucifer.' He swung his scythe horizontally. He opened his eyes and sighed at all the eyes looking at him from far away. 'Surely you have your

Death's Purpose (2)
- Death and Oliver - "You okay sir?" Oliver said from afar to Death. "I'll be fine." Death mumbled. Oliver didn't have much interaction with Death before their meeting in Passage. He was secretly excited to get the chance to speak with him. He was going to ask if he could practice with him until he saw Death's training. It was different, it seemed more purposeful, as though he was imagining someone as he swung the scythe. 'Can't imagine practicing with that.' Oliver scratched the back of his head. Death was trying to quiet everything around him. What mattered to him now was staying focused. He couldn't practice his riding with Hrom so he was stuck with just weapon and image training. So long as he kept his eyes closed he wouldn't see the eyes of the crowd and most of them wouldn't dare say anything if they thought he could hear them. Oliver was looking around
