Tory's POV " This is insane," Nate said in disbelief. " Are you certain?" My mom asked and detective Mason nodded. " So what do they want? Nate?" " Obviously. But we're going to offer Nate to them as bait before we hijack wherever their secret base is" Bill said and I shot him a glare. " We're not going to do anything of that sort Mr!" " It's either that or they come here and kill everyone else and take Nate anyway. Big D isn't someone you want to mess with Mrs. Williams" detective Mason said. " This is a lot, isn't there another way?" " No, this is the only way we can get rid of this man once and for all" " I'll do it," Nate said and I glared at him. " No, you shouldn't-" I started to say and he cut me off. " - Tory we're talking about my mom here! I need

Nate's POV Tory and her sisters were asleep while detective Mason and his colleagues prepared me to be given to Big D's men. They had been extra careful to make sure no one would know that I had been living with the Williams and I was thankful for that, the last thing I needed was for any of them to get hurt because of me. They made me feel like family and I loved that. " You're okay kid?" One of the policemen sitting in the car with me at the center asked and I nodded. Thanks to my disorder, I didn't feel tense, but I do admit that I've been feeling more emotions lately, especially with Tiffany in danger, whether or not she loves me after this I don't care. I have to do what I can. With Tory, it's like nothing else matters. I nearly forget about my worries whenever I'm with her, too bad she doesn't love me. The two women I care about the most don't love me but I love them

Nate's POVI moped at Rex as he stood there in his casual wear for our school on Wednesdays. He had some blood on his hands and when he saw me look at them he rolled his eyes and cleaned them with a handkerchief he brought out of his pocket and then he threw it on the floor. " Dad, I've taken out the men from the drug cartel who didn't cooperate." He said as he adjusted the school bag he was putting on. So he's an assassin? Then why the hell was he at school with me? How didn't he figure out that I was Big D's son from the start? " Great job as always" Big D said with a grin as he got up from his chair and embraced Rex." Wait, wait, wait. If you've been schooling with me for two years now, why didn't you sell me out since then? Also, how the hell are you older than me?"Rex chuckled and looked at Big D who answered in his stead. " Your mothe

Tory's POVWhen I woke up this morning, I was horrified when I didn't find Nate anywhere around the house, Trudy kept sulking and it was clear that she was starting to like Nate as she likes me! After searching the whole house, I asked Mom where Nate was and she said Nate had already gone through with the detective's plan. I couldn't help but feel....cheated." What if I'll never get a chance to say goodbye to him if their plan fails?" I kept asking myself. The fact that Nate and I have started to get to know each other better is something that I'm not willing to let go of so easily. I don't want him to lose out on ever being happy and that's exactly what will happen if the police fail.I was dying of anxiety the entire time in school as I wondered if Nate was okay. I couldn't take my mind off the whole matter with Big D, I was so scared because Nate was willing to risk his future to go be with Big D if it mean

Nate's POVThe feeling in my heart as Tory held onto me so tight, was inexplicable. Detective Mason and Tory's mom were both grinning along with Tory's sisters. " Tory don't suffocate him though," detective Mason said and she, unfortunately, released me and looked into my eyes. I tried to decipher what she was trying to hide as she got down from my already tired grip and I got the freaking answer when I saw her cheeks were red.She was blushing! Doesn't this mean she likes me? " Sorry," she said as she tucked her hair behind her ears and bit her lips. Damn it, why wouldn't she just be mine already?! Right - Rex. Good thing, he's probably somewhere running from the police with his psychopath of a Dad. Now, she's all mine. " It's okay, I missed you too," I said and she blushed again. " I didn't miss you, I worried about you!" She lied and

Tory's POVThis morning when I put on the black with a touch of silver strapless gown Nate had been nagging for me to put on, I did it because I knew he would be leaving today. " Your parting gift" I had said with a smirk and his handsome face lit up as he smiled one of those smiles that made me forget that I had a boyfriend and just wanted to kiss him. It sent shivers around my body that morning that I found a way to avoid him. Just like I am now in school. My body tensed as I felt broad arms around my waist, it felt like Rex but somehow a part of me wished it was Nate. Rex said he was ill so it's not him.I turned around to see the very person I thought was ill, staring down at me with those blue eyes that always took my breath away, his hair was now in a very flawlessly executed undercut and he smelled a little different today. I embraced him and he rewarded me with a kiss.

Tory's POV After the lunch break, I and the rest members of the school's committee had already planned out everything needed for the fundraiser. Mr. Jenkins was excited as he went upstairs to the studio to announce the date of the much-awaited fundraiser. I sat down with Rex at my right side in the next column and Nate at my left side on the other column. They kept having these staring contests that confused me. Before our chemistry teacher came into the class, the intercom came on. " Good afternoon students!" Mr. Jenkins' thunderous voice said through the intercom. " You know who is speaking!" The students yelled in excitement, some laugh out hysterically as they could picture him hitting his face with his palm. It was the student's sworn duty to say that line for him whenever he gave his announcement. " Well, you guys already k

Tory's POV" So now you're just back to being an ass huh? What's so important that you broke our deal! I'm not supposed to even go anywhere with you today since you haven't apologized to those you've hurt!" I said feeling very infuriated as I glared at him." Apologize? Do you even think I know every single person I've hurt? What you're asking is impossible." He said, trying his best not to yell at me." Whatever!" I retorted as I folded my arms and frowned. I could see him look at me through the corner of my eye as he drove and I heard him sigh." Tory, I'm sorry okay. I'm just in a really bad mood."" Let me guess, because of my boyfriend? I mean what did he ever do to you to offend you?" I asked completely losing my shit as I threw my hands in the air and glared at him." You'll never understand," he said as his grip on the steering wheel tightened and he clenched his teeth.

Tory's POV Nate's new place was a little bigger than where they previously lived. It was more secure than the other and had so many palm trees. I entered the house after him and was blown away by how pink it was, the curtains, the sofa, the walls were all different shades of pink. The only thing that wasn't pink was just the floor which was thankfully white and then the flower arrangements. " Who lived here?" " Mr. Roswell. I don't know why the fuck it's so pink, mom hates it too." He said as he dropped his keys on the table and started walking upstairs. " You coming?" He asked and I shook my head. " We'll do this in your living room" " Fine," he said, " I'm gonna shower first" he added as he went upstairs and I sat down on the sofa, took off my shoes as I curled up on the soft sofa, and brought out the file Mr. Banner gave me.

Tory's POVIt's been two weeks since I started helping Mr. Banner question Nate, every day he gave me new questions right after evaluating Nate's progress. According to him, everything is going well, Nate was starting to know the right responses to certain things and I was happy. He and I got really close over the past two weeks and I could no longer deny the truth - I like Nate - like a lot. I've spent the rest of my two weeks thinking about him, chatting with him, talking with him and it just felt right. But then again, it wasn't right, I'm still dating Rex. Though now I'm confused, I don't even know if I'm still in love with him. Lately, he's been acting odd, barely calls me or texts - just because of the day I had been at Nate's house and I missed his call several times.I had apologized a thousand times but he wouldn't listen, then he started complaining about me neglecting him because of the fundra
