Chapter 30.
I didn't realize how much pent up I had been bottling up. All I could see was red. Blood red. The satisfaction I was getting from this was sickening but I didn't care. I was far too consumed in anger and thirsty for some respect. She pled with me over and over again but I couldn't be moved, what a waste,

Chapter 31
I sat still for a while, wondering what just happened. I mean, I cook a lot but it's not everyday you get burned for looking for gloves. The shock from what I had just experienced made me mellow. I watched in awe as he carefully applied the ointment on the burn and blew on it with tenderness. This is different from the Jasper I married. An entirely different person. It felt like the old Jasper had returned to me and was never going to leave me again. Can we be like this? I asked, wishing he could read my thoughts. Please don't change again Jasper, I'm lonely without your care and affection. I miss the old you. I reach out and touch his cheek lightly touch his cheek. Somehow I was going to get the confirmation I so desperately needed as to whether or not he has been faking this sudden affection or not. His eyes following my hand until he was staring back at me with so much intensity and not once did he avert his gaze. Just like me, he too was in shoc

Chapter 32.
The whispers amongst the wolves are everything but positive, I shiver at the thought of what they must be thinking about me, their stares are filled with menace and it's unsettling.  Each passing second feels like I'm drowning, I really am screwed.  Jasper was also staring blankly at me. At this point, I just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole. I knew I shouldn't have come here, yet, I couldn't let them fight each other.  "Diana, please wait outside." Jasper said as he took my hand.

I feel my skin heat up like a frying pan from the scorching sun. When she said we should meet I had no Idea she meant like this, we  were taking a stroll from one ice cream truck to another. Now I know one thing about her asides her constant cheerfulness. She has a sweet tooth.  It is not just ice cream but a bunch of other sweet things and her chances of gaining weight if she keeps it up is very fat.  "Do you really need this much

Chapter 34.
The silence between us is deafening. It's so uncomfortable that I badly needed a distraction, anything at all. We've been this way ever since I told him I needed some of his time. His stern face is enough for me to wish I could take my words back. The highest he could do is force a smile, even a fake smile might be okay then maybe the air between us won't be this heavy to the point where it's choking me. I wish the ground would open up and swallow me whole,

Chapter 35.
This familiar smell of lavender, the scent of roses and milk, I know that scent anywhere. This was the scent of my old home, the house that had the scent of lavender and the bath that was made of Milk and roses. That's right, I thought I forgot about this, no, I did forget but now it's all coming back to me. Not once did I bathe with water, rather it was with milk, a bath which would always make me calm down and relax, how could I have forgotten such a memory. This must be a dream. "Diana, come, let me brush your hair." Mother! But how could she see me, and how is her voice so clear? Is it a new effect, but it isn't supposed to work in my dream plus I always take it off before I sleep

Chapter 36.
We've been talking for hours, the most I discovered was that the virus was an artificial one someone with sinister objectives invented to bring down Alpha Max's territory. The second was that the virus began more than ten years ago and has been spreading ever since. But the one thing that makes no sense, is how one man have a cure for a pandemic that was sure to wipe out an entire race and still decide not to give it out except his condition was met. That probably meant he wasn't affected while so many territories were, without a doubt it had Alpha John's name written all over it. No matter how hard they tried, I couldn't engage them deeply into the investigation, so with the little info I had, I made a run home. I decided to cook lunch today.  I was really waiting for the day when I could treat Aunt Hailey and today was that day. I get a few stuff from the grocery shop and head home. "I'm sorry I'm late aunt." I wa

Chapter 37.
Turns out the Golden tower situation was a lot more serious than I had imagined but, the silver lining in the midst of all the chaos is that the relationship between Jasper and I has improved. He eats at home now, and sometimes we go out. For some reason, he's trying his best not to push me away. Naturally, I don't mind what he chooses but I can't hurt him when he's trying so hard not to annoy me. "The moon and stars are brighter than usual."I look up to confirm his words and sure enough, the sky is clear and the stars are a lot brighter. It's an amazing view, but it'd even better that I have someone special by my side to see such a view with. "Maybe it's as happy as I am."He looks at me in surprise. His eyes say he's in doubt but then he flashes me a smile that puts the Cheshire cat to shame. "You are?" I slip my arm around his and nod. "Of course. It feels like the old Jasper's back, I'm happy to see snippets of your old s

Chapter 38.
It's cold. So cold. My teeth are chattering and my body shivering. I've been standing here for two hours poorly dressed for the weather. My legs hurt from frost bites. I don't think my body can take anymore cold. I got closer to the door and rest my head on it while cuddling my heat jacket. I don't get it at all. None of this is my fault anyway, so why do I get to take the blame for someone's poor life's decision. I'm sick and tired of all of this crap.Slowly, my eyes drift close and I fall asleep after much difficulty. If I had been warned earlier then I would probably have come prepared. I would really like a cup of hot coco right now. "Diana! Oh heavens! What happened to you child?" I slowly open my eyes but can't see a thing. Everything is blury, I'm freezing, my heart beat is a lot slower. I don't want to die with regrets in my life, please someone save me.I felt someone rub my palm, and felt the ball of my foot in some

Chapter 39
I woke up after a nice long nap, feeling refreshed and strengthed. What a day! Maybe just maybe I can have all day to myself and probably go out today. There are so many things I'd like to do today. "Miss. The master is calling for you to come down for breakfast." A voice said. Shoot, I was supposed to make tea. This must be a bad sign for me, one which is telling to give up on my plans for today, the devil is calling me which means am unlucky. I even forgot my promise already.I had forgotten he was always up early, otherwise I'd wake up earlier and made tea. Rotten luck. Hurriedly, I came down and ran straight to the kitchen. My hair is really messy right now and I'm also a mess, I quickly put my hair up in a ponytail, that was the easiest thing to do since I was short on time. The sight I caught in the mirror reminded me that I forgot to bring a pair of pajamas or nightgown along. I went to bed in a short and a shirt which Charles lent me. I really am a mess right now.
