~Aria I'm out of bed in the second. The sound of the scream was one of pain, of panic. And right beside my room, through the wall. Heart racing, I back up, wondering what to do. My mind can't seem to fathom fully what is going on; being delirious on sleep, the darkness curling around my mind. What do I do? Am I the hero that will save the day from something I'm under about? I can't just sit here and not do anything...I run out the room, stumbling into the hallway with my hands in front of me. Wherever the light switch is, I doubt I'm going to find it. Instead, I run my fingers along the wall, getting closer to the sound assaulting my ears. The moment my hand lands on the door handle, I exhale in relief. When I open the door, I can hear rustling coming from what is probably the bed. A struggle, and the shrill scream of pain. Luckily, the light switch is the same as in my room, so I flick it on, and let my eyes adjust to the light. Right in front of me, are two girls. Rose and th

~Aria The cool down period after the incident with Rose and Kendall took a few days.Police swarmed the entire place most of the day, and I got questioned the same way several times. What happened that night? What did you see?Did she hurt you?Was Rose acting a certain way that hinted she was going to do this? The interviewers were stern looking Discipline Pack members who wanted one answer and one answer only. All they want to do is send her straight to one of their merciless prisons with a life sentence. Had she actually killed Kendall, then she would have been sent to an unknown fate in the Vengeance Pack. I shiver at the thought of him alone. Alpha Kaden. Staring into the heartless green eyes of a Discipline Pack member is frightening in itself. They are used to intimidating witnesses, to get the most honest answers out of them. I had no reason to lie for Kendall, which means I split every ounce of evidence I could to them. As I did so it made me think. Would I lie for Zaria

~Aria"I don't know what to do," Zariah says, her index finger playing with the edge of the page. That is the first time I have heard her say those words. The way she bites her lip in thought, her eyebrows creased behind her thick rimmed glasses shows her discontent with herself. For the past hour, she has been thumbing through Malik's diary, not at all fazed by the fact that he knows it has been stolen.Brynn bangs her the back of her head back against the wall. "Who cares?""Me," Zariah snaps, glancing over at me and where I lay back on her bed. "Aria cares too."I'm curious. It isn't the fact that Malik has that, and puts dark red crosses on every girl who has been knocked from the competition, but the fact that all of us have some kind of wealthy background, with a parent or two in high positions. Right now, Zariah's early conspiracies seem more likely."And you never told us you were a billionaire," Zariah says pointedly, shooting a glare toward Brynn, who rolled her eyes."Multi

~Aria I suck in a deep breath, clenching my jaw as I slightly let the door open just a tad.If my guard catches me, I don't have a single excuse lined up to explain where I wanted to go. Somehow it would make it back to the girls, and I would end up being on the chopping block of their latest gossip.Luckily, Ryan, my newest guard was slumped in sleep against the wall, head lulled back with his mouth slightly parted. Malik shouldn't be working them so hard...With steps as little and light as possible, I sneak past the man. He doesn't stir. The moment I turn the first corner, I exhale the breath I had been holding, and quicken my light steps. Who knows how long Malik has been waiting, while I worry in my room about venturing out. It's nearly midnight at this point, and all the other girls are fast asleep. If only they had any idea about what we were up to...Not as if we are getting up to anything scandalous. When I walk into the library, Malik is nowhere to be seen. Fear spikes str

~AriaI wanted to die at that exact moment. I wanted to open one of the competitors doors open, march outside to throw myself off their balcony.Mortified didn't even begin to cover it, if I'm honest. Six feet under is where I would rather be right now, as Malik kept me securely perched on his shoulder, as he regarded the girl in front of us. Even as I try wiggle in protest, the Alpha doesn't allow for any room to even try to escape. "Reese," he says carefully. "What are you doing out of your room?"The girl doesn't move, her water still in her cup. From what I know of Reese, she is a modest girl, who enjoys books; a girl to my own heart. Seeing this may just be devastating to her, or at the very least, very frightening. If I saw Malik in this position with another girl, I would have left almost instantly. "I apologise Alpha, I was just heading back," the girl said carefully, backing up a few steps, before she turned and walked back down the hallway. There was only a moment that I n

~AriaWhen Malik approached me the next morning, I was sure he was going to be sending me home at that moment. He walked with an easy gait about him, not worried at all that he had been caught with me on his shoulder by a girl who he had sent home. He didn't even give any hints that he had a list of girls who he is sending home in an exact order. Who can premeditate that? It makes me feel sick to the stomach. Clearly, I had been chosen to be sent home now, as Grey probably assumed I had the necklace at this point. He couldn't be more wrong. "Good morning," he says brightly, already dressed and ready for the day. I, on the other hand, am still dressed in my little cloud pajamas with my hair in an unruly bun. I pause, knowing instantly what he is going to say to me. I decide to lean against the wall in case I can't handle it, for whatever reason. Turns out, he wasn't sending me home. "I want to ask you on a date.""You want to?""Sorry, I mean, I am asking you on a date."There is

~Aria I was halfway up the stairs towards our hotel room, before I realised we would be sharing one. My emotions made no move, but my mind whirled with the idea of it. This is an impromptu stop, and we were lucky to get a room as it is. Perhaps us sharing a room will get me another step closer to his necklace. Problem is, if I get a hold of it, what's next?Run all the way to the Discipline Pack? It would take him less than an hour and five men to find me again. The room wasn't too small. It had a large double bed situated in the middle, with side tables and a TV mounted on the wall. Sharing a bed with Malik is admittedly mortifying, and my palms start sweating every time my eyes find. Other than that, I believe I can handle staying here the night, even if it means hearing a raging storm outside the entire time."I'm sorry you don't have your clothes. My driver is still trying to find out where the other car is," Malik tells me, as I go to sit on the edge of the bed. It's ice cold i

~AriaI dreamt that night. For those brief moments of bliss, I was back home, in my own bed. Everything is coated in a slight haze, but I swear my mate made an appearance at one point. I couldn't tell who he was - darkness shrouded his features - but I saw it as a sign. I may be apart of this competition, but that doesn't mean I'll never find him. I hope whoever he is, wherever he is, he understands that. I woke with a start. Light streamed heavily through the window, drenching the bed covers in brilliant oranges and even a hint of rose pink. It would be something to marvel in, if I wasn't in a strange hotel room with a slumbering figure next to me. I had to sit there for a moment, gathering my scattered bearings before I could even utter a word. Then it hit me like a tsunami, and I leant over to punch Malik through the sheet. He didn't move. He continued to lay there peacefully, mouth slightly open, his chest moving lazily. Who knew the Alpha of Love was a deep sleeper? Even as

~AriaI haven't seen Malik without so much stress in his shoulders. He looked young and carefree, showing his youth in a way that is contagious."Take your shoes off," Malik suggested, following his own words before he tore his shirt off. Despite his scars, he doesn't seem to care about running around with no shirt on in public. Not that many people are on the beach anyway, which is strange, since this is such a lovely day. Watching the waves tentatively inch their way up the flat sand, I can't help but be tempted to follow Malik. So barely thinking, I kick off my shoes and throw them far enough behind me so the waves wouldn't reach them.I watch Malik bravely back into the water. The way it hit the backs of his legs made me nervous, as if they might knock him over with a little more force."Come in, it's nice," Malik tells me with a playful smile.A braver wave hit my feet, the whitewash covering my toes. It was a strange kind of cold that drenched my entire body in shivers. It's no

~Aria I just stare at him, unable to really fathom what he just said. A part of me had expected him to send me home next after seeing the piece of paper. However, the other part of me was devastated for a variety of reasons. I was first hit with the betrayal. How could he take on such a nice date, to send me home the next day? My mind could hardly comprehend that part, until my eyes fell on the necklace. That's it. There goes my chance to steal it. I failed the mission because I'm not assertive enough. Malik even has the audacity to turn around to walk away. He doesn't get out of this that easily...."You can't do this," I splutter, hardly controlling the words that come out of my mouth. I reach out, snagging the sleeve of his shirt until he turned around to give me his attention again. He looked almost inflicted by physical pain. His eyes were burnt out, the life I'm used to seeing within them completely burned out. This isn't Malik. This is who the Alpha of Love should be, and
