Chapter 41.
Dominik POVHow could I explain to Victoria what happened? I know it was my mistake, from the beginning I should have been honest and told her that I had nothing to do with the organization of this damn trip, I should have told her that I only gave the money and entrusted it to someone else. But now thanks to my lies, she thinks I organized everything, and she blames me for things going so wrong at the beginning. At this point, I'm not interested in lying to Victoria anymore, I know it will be embarrassing, but it's better to tell her the truth about the whole trip thing and apologize for it. From my own experience, I think the worst thing there is to lie to try to cover up your mistakes, in the end, you end up getting more entangled with your lies, and it will be harder and harder to be able to admit that something went wrong.Still, Victoria won't let me talk to her, just like what happened when we fought in my office and I yelled at her, she just avoids me and runs

Chapter 42.
Dominik POVSilently, I stared at the sea below the boat, through which we could observe beautiful reefs at the bottom of the water, as well as fish and other marine animals as we sailed along. The trip was calm, at a slow speed, so as not to make the passengers who were taking the ride dizzy and to allow us to observe the scenery calmly. Many people were sitting in seats that were in the bow arranged for passengers, others were in the ship's dining room eating some desserts or drinking coffee, and most were spread all over the top of the ship, near the security fences taking pictures or looking at everything with curiosity. And even though it was such a peaceful trip, in the middle of the sea and in the middle of beautiful scenery, there was one little thing that bothered me. Maybe my bad luck, today in the morning the weather on the island was not so good, here it is usually sunny and warm, but there are also days when there are quite a lot of rains and strong winds,

Victoria POVI fall to my knees on the floor, practically vomiting water, feeling my body shaking and wet, still trembling with fear."Breath, take a deep breath" Dominik urges me, gently patting me on the back.Everything feels so confusing, I don't even remember well what happened. I was on the other side of the ship, and when I felt the rain coming down, I thought about going to the cafeteria to take shelter, as my bag was cloth and I had important things in there that I didn't want to get wet. So walking slowly through the crowd of other passengers, I felt from one moment to the next how the ship moved in a very abrupt way, but with nowhere to hold on to, I was practically thrown out of the ship into the air, and then fell into the water. Then I remember the most desperate feeling of my whole life, as I saw everything completely black in front of my eyes, and I felt the cold water around me pushing me and sinking me deeper and deeper.I felt that I wa

Victoria POVSighing, I watch as the rain is about to end, and as now only small drops fall on the beach and on the sea in the distance, while the sky also starts to clear. I don't know how long I've been here next to Dominik, under this tree and freezing to death because of the rain and the freezing atmosphere, but I guess it's quite a long time, as the rain is almost over and everything has started to calm down.Still turning my back to Dominik, I shiver slightly, as the cold is really strong, and all my clothes are wet. And being in this difficult situation, I start to complain to myself, for having brought these unwarm clothes even though I saw the cloudy sky in the morning, for having been so careless on the boat, for even getting on that boat...And as I think about that, letting myself be swept away by the sadness and despair I feel in that instant, I can't help but start crying. Everything felt so confusing and at the same time so desperate, I just want

Dominik POVStanding up, I take a deep breath, feeling with great relief the cool sea breeze and the on my skin. After such a heavy rain, the sky has cleared and the warm sun is shining down on us brightly."You should stand up and come here, the sun will warm you up" I recommend to Victoria.Looking at me in the sun, Victoria hesitates a bit, but finally stands up and walks in my direction, walking close to the shore on the beach letting the sun warm our bodies."Oh wow... This feels really good, I was freezing back there" Victoria says, closing her eyes and enjoying the sun hitting her all over her face."The seawater was freezing, our clothes are wet and the cold didn't lessen in the shade, in such conditions the sun is nice"."You are right" She answers me, smiling at me.I don't quite know what I should talk to Victoria about, I know I had set out to be her friend or at least become closer to her, and I was only going to get that

Dominik POVWith a sigh, I open the door to our room with the electronic key, feeling really tired, wanting to just take a bath and sleep. Stepping aside, I let Victoria go in first, as she looks extremely exhausted, which is understandable since she went through a lot today."I'm tired... And very hungry" Victoria complains, walking into the living room of the suite to sit on one of the couches."Yeah, I'm kind of hungry too, if you want I can call room service at the hotel and have them bring us dinner...""I'd love you if you did..."Smiling at her, I immediately reply, "Okay, I'll go now."Closing the suite door behind me, I walk to one of the tables in the main room, where there is a landline phone. Dialing number zero, which calls directly to hotel services, I order two dinners for Victoria and myself, plus a couple of desserts and hot drinks. Receiving an affirmative response from the hotel staff, I hang up the phone and again face Vi

Victoria POV"You should buy this, it looks phenomenal on you" I joke laughing at Dominik.Putting on a serious face, Dominik replies to me, "Yeah sure, sure if it fits me..."Smiling, I take off the hat I had put on Dominik's head, which was a strange straw hat that had the flag of this island embroidered on the top, which seemed to be some kind of souvenir or something similar from this place. We were both in the island's shopping mall, the one I had visited alone a couple of days before the boat event when I didn't buy anything because it was too expensive. But now that I'm with Dominik and with his credit cards, I think I could buy the whole mall with no problem."Sure it looks good on you, but you don't have a good enough fashion style to accept it" I refuse to return the hat to the counter where I had taken it from."Yeah, because I'm sure a hat like that would be great for me to wear to the office" Dominik jokes."It wouldn't hurt to

Victoria POV Smiling, I felt the sun on my face, warming my skin with its rays of light. I know it's strange, because most people don't like it, but I personally like to feel the light on my skin, I like to feel the sun's rays warming my body. "We should find a good place to put our stuff," Dominik tells me, as he walks next to me. Opening my eyes and looking at the beach, I notice that because of the time there are quite a few people, who in the mid-afternoon enjoy the sun and are doing various activities, like tanning or playing in the sand. "Maybe over there" I point showing the left side of the beach: "There are not many people over there". Looking in the direction I point, Dominik tells me, "Yeah, not many people, let's go over there." Smiling, while observing the whole place, I walk together with Dominik to a place a bit far away from the rest of the people on the beach. And even though this place is a bit empty, I don't doubt th

Dominik POVGetting out of the water, I take a deep breath, as I bring my hands to my hair and calmly pull it back. The water is at a perfect temperature and it feels great to swim in it, so I can't help but feel calm swimming in the seawater, something that had always pleased me a lot. I don't know why, but ever since I was very young when I was still in high school and practicing scuba diving with my father, I always enjoyed swimming in the sea, whether it was this way on a beach or in a wetsuit at the bottom of the sea, swimming was always something I enjoyed. However now that I am older, that I have so many responsibilities and things to do, I stopped swimming or diving, as it is a sport or a hobby that takes too much time, so the best sport I can do is to train in my personal gym at home or in a special gym near work. I think I had forgotten this nice feeling of free-swimming as the last time I swam this way, so relaxing and peaceful, was in my last year of school

Dominik POV"Don't worry... I've got you, and I'm not going to let anything bad happen to you" I promise Victoria.Keeping my promise, I carefully hold her under the water, hugging her around the waist and gluing her slender body to mine. It was a strange feeling, but until now I hadn't noticed that Victoria was a rather thin girl, something I had always found attractive in a woman.Clinging to me very tightly, Victoria asks me in fright, "What happened, why did the water move like that?""It's something normal, we are in the sea, naturally there will always be waves something strong or something soft that shake the sea" I explain trying to reassure her."There are always waves? I thought I was going to sink again...""Relax, I'm here by your side, and I'm not going to let anything happen to you" I repeat again, "Come on, let's swim together this time."I think what Victoria needs now is to relax, I think she has seen the sea as somet
