Chapter 30

Azrael’s POV Me and Anna stopped on our tracks and my eyes widen. I could see Anna looked behind us in my peripheral vision but stayed. Is that really him? I finally looked behind us and I met his eyes. Despite of his forced courtship towards me, he is still my friend. “Cris?” I muttered to which he nodded in response and hugged me to which it surprise me. But despite the surprise, I hug back. “I thought I would never see you again.” he mumbled. I could only smile and nod. “Same here.” “Ahem.” I ended the hug when I remembered Anna was beside me. I smiled at her. “Anna, meet Cris!” I once again grab Anna’s hand and looked at Cris with a smile. “Cris, meet Anna!” I took his hand and made them shook each others’ hand.

Chapter 31

There was an awkward silence after Levi’s explanation. I bet you could see my face flushed from his choice of words. I can feel Anna’s eyes staring at my back, a sinister smile and eyes. That only made me shiver. “Not the explanation I expected.” I mumbled and scratched my nape, face still flushed. My eyes fixed towards Cris who is busy easing the pain in his neck, I bet he didn’t even bother to listen to our conversation, that’s good. I heard Levi clicked his tongue and still glaring at Cris. “You better stay away from him, Luna.” I could only mentally roll my eyes and sighed. “Just calm down, Levi. He is an old friend of mine, we can trust him.” now that, that made Levi’s eyes fixed on me. His eyes showed surprise and doubt. Well, he is a wolf after all, possessive and stuff. “Are you serious, Luna?” he was disbelief. I w

Chapter 32

“He’s been dozing off lately. I’m getting worried but he’s eating well and gets enough sleep. I guess that’s enough for us to be relieved,” Nurse Gwen said as we stroll on the hallways towards my Dad’s room. “Thank you, Nurse Gwen. Thank you for taking care of him.” She halted and turned to me. She held my hand and looked at me in the eyes. It’s as if saying that she will always be there. “Your father and I became friends since you brought him here. He is a good man, Azrael, and a good father. He deserves the best care.” I nodded and looked down, biting my lower lip. He’s indeed a good father to me. He took care of me when Mom left. Mom left us when I was a baby and Dad raised me himself. Dad became a father and a mother all at the same time until he lost his sanity. Mom leaving us was heartbreaking enough for him.&

Chapter 33

“Dad?!” I called out to him the moment I stepped out of the vehicle. I heard my friends’ footsteps following me. I need to see my Dad as soon as possible. I cannot let him see my good-for-nothing mother. She could do anything to him! I don’t know what my mother is like but there is only one thing I’m sure of. She’s a coward. I couldn’t say that the reason why she left is because she hates me. If she had known that she’s pregnant with me then she could have an abortion. But she didn’t do it. She brought me to the world. Maybe at first she really wanted me. She loved me and was happy when she gave birth to me. I am uncertain of my own opinion but I think she’s afraid of the responsibility of raising a child. Dad mentioned that my mother would often have deep thoughts while looking at me. I might misinterpret things but that is what I thought. If she love me, why would she leave?

Chapter 34

I haven’t seen my father since then, but I know he went with my mother. It’s heartbreaking, knowing they left their child, alone, fighting a war that she didn’t know she was int. What am I suppose to do? All she said is to find the sorcerer of the west! I don’t know anymore. I feel numb all over my body. I should hate them for leaving me! But I know I can’t, I won’t, and I don’t want to. As long as dad went with her without any trouble, I know he is safe, safe away from problems.   Third Person’s POV After the event happened, the two werewolf and human went to grab Azrael’s figure. She did not protest nor threw a tantrum, but the other three are worried when she didn’t even bother to talk. She only stared towards nothing but the air. Anna was beside her on the back seat, holding bot

Chapter 35

With hesitation, Lexi walked closer to Azrael who was sitting in front of her mirror. She was just staring at herself without blinking. “Azrael?” Lexi started The Luna did not seem to hear her because she was not responding. Not even sparing a glance from the mirror, nor letting out a soft hum of response. Lexi was scared that maybe she would cross the line. She felt like walking on thin ice. But the urge of talking to her and making her feel better was stronger than being afraid of her outburst. It was a risk she thought that would be worth it. With that in mind, she inched closer and closer until she reached her. She bend her knees so that they could be on the same level as the sitting Luna. Anna which was behind her only kept her stance and did not bother to follow her all the way through. She calmed down and slowly stroked Azrael’s hair. It was a wonder for her to see how white

Chapter 36

It was still dawn, the sun barely rising but Azrael is already awake. The Gamma was fast asleep which she assumed that had slept while guarding them. She did not mind it, in fact, she was quite amused. Levi being Levi. Levi might look so strong and tough, but he is such a precious werewolf that the Luna adores. Like her younger brother. Azrael looked around and yawned. She did not sense any hint of danger. In fact, she was feeling comfortable. On the far distance across the lake, she saw something. She stood and squinted her eyes to see what it is. Much to her surprise, it was a floating purple flame. She thought she was just seeing things but when she rubbed her eyes and blinked twice, it was still there! It doesn’t seem so big but curiosity was pushing her to follow. “Guys, wake up…” she shook both the female wolves while Levi immediately stood “WHAT IS IT LUNA?!” the

Chapter 37

Everyone was left in horror as they witnessed the pack before them. They are not exactly in front of it but it felt like it. They all felt goosebumps at the horrid sight. The werewolves of the pack were being slaved. Lycans are hovering over the poor werewolves, threatening to kill them if they go slow. Brody sitting on the throne with the three Lunas of the three pack all tied up. And the Alphas inside a cellar covered with their own blood. “Connor…” Azrael covered her mouth with his hands, feeling broken by the sight of his mate. Connor looks so lifeless as he lie down the cold ground, covered with bruises and cuts. Her eyes started getting watery. “As you can see, they look hopeless. Alpha Connor had been strong enough to fight but he doesn’t have the power to get the throne back. The pack is powerless.” Lexi, on the other hand, had been fidgeting nonstop. She

“for someone on your acquaintances are hesitating on what they should do.” The witch’s words still lingered on Azrael’s head. It has been a week when they met the sorcerer but she couldn’t still grasp the fact that Connor was out there and dying, let alone being a daughter of the moon goddess. Sitting down on the grass with her sweaty body, she stared at the sky for a good five minutes before standing up. It was very difficult for her to take in everything but she has to. For the pack… For Connor… “Luna, there you are!” Azrael looked back and saw the young she-wolf running towards her. Her smile is very contagious but she can still see the sorrow in her eyes. It must be painful. “Aww, you found me!” Azrael responded and fell to the ground as if she lost some kind of a game

“Ah shit.” Anna could only swear after knowing that she was tasked to a very difficult and important role. If you’re wondering what’s happening, they are planning on how to take down Brody. I mean, you might say it’s impossible knowing that there are five of them versus hundreds or more lycans. And the fact Anna would act like one of the prisoners is already heavy. We never know they memorized all the faces of all the wolves, four packs even. “Language, child.” Christine could only lecture Anna. By now, they are on the dining table, planning on how they would take down Brody and his army of lycans. They decided to make Anna camouflage as one of the prisoners as they would hear her replies through an earpiece. Knowing Brody took over the Crimson Crest pack house, they already memorized the routes in every hall. “It’s not that big of a task Anna,&rd
