The next day Derek dragged me to lunch with a rather unique friend of his, named Haven. She was in her early 40’s and even though she was gay, she ran a matchmaking service for mostly straight people. She hired me out here and there to vet employees for her and even a couple quirky clients. Derek had known her some years and had helped loan her some money to start her business.
