šŸ¾ Beta Darren   It had been almost four days since Alpha Jake left towards the Green Valleyā€™s pack. I was sitting at his desk, going through all the paperwork he had left for me to check. He had been so absorbed with his mate, the lovely female Legolas meets Xena the Warrior Princess, that he left all the bullshit tasks to me. Iā€™m happy for Jake that he found PernwĆ©l, she seems like a sweet girl, but haunted by her past. The scar that runs over her right eyelid is proof of that. The fact that she is not a Werewolf like us, means he has to do things differently than usual. Even if I envy him for having found his fated mate, I donā€™t need the added stress of finding mine and her not being one of us. I donā€™t know how he does it, my wolf would be too possessive and would want to claim his mate on the spot.

šŸ¾ Rune   We wandered around aimlessly through the mountains. It had been weeks since the attack on the Wild River pack and we still hadnā€™t gained information. Trudging through the autumn landscape of the forests and hills, we still needed to find a sign of our holy grail. Cold Creek had given in to their bloodlust and our pack had been next on their list, unfortunately. A couple of our own had crossed over before the battle began and signed our death sentences. Alpha Markus of Cold Creek was the ultimate twisted mistake that the Moon Goddess had created.  My wolf's eyes began to water and I whimpered recalling the scene. My 4 year old pup, Drake, clung tightly to my leg. Not wanting to lose his mommy out of sight. He had been through so much for his young age. Susan and Steven, the couple that made

āž³ Pernwél “Yes.” Viggo answered truthfully. “I do believe that you are the bastard child of Aerin, the Queen of Agmysther, and myself.”I just nodded, taking in the notion that my only living family was seated before me, my father. That my mother after all these years had been silently caring for me, without me knowing the truth. That she had sacrificed her last remaining bit of magic, to save me from the battle. Leading me to this Realm to reunite me with my father.Searching Jake’s eyes for comfort I found my own shocked reflection staring back. We had been thinking this whole time that we would find someone who could help me uncover the secrets of my druidic nature. Finding my father had never crossed my mind.“You w

āž³ Pernwél The conversation with my father had been enlightening. A lot of questions of my past had been answered and ultimately, I had found my parents. I was no longer an orphan as I believed to have been all this time. It was an uncanny sensation to have finally found them and yet they seemed to be total strangers to me right now.I had always thought that the Queen was taking pity on a poor orphan girl, while she had been my mother this entire time. Shock and awe still blended into one another, coursing through my veins in a worried hurry. How different would things have been if I wasn’t her bastard child? If I would have grown up with two loving parents and instead of dealing with the wrath of an unhinged King?I couldn’t change the

šŸ¾ Alpha Jake   PernwĆ©l and I exchanged a couple of glances, but we knew what was going on the moment we both walked into my office. My Beta and best friend, Darren, had finally found his mate.  He was one of the good guys, reserving himself for his Goddess given soulmate. I had always envied the strength he had to ignore the sultry gazes of the she-wolves in the pack that wanted him. I never possessed that resistance. He was a good looking male with a bright mind. Yet, he had this obsession with fictional comic book characters that I couldnā€™t wrap my head around. Darren is who he is and I appreciated him for it, the most loyal friend someone could wish for. With a heart of gold, sprinkled with an extra dose of sweetness around it. I sound cheesy, but he did have a massive heart, that guy. ā€œGood even

āž³ PernwĆ©l   Jake grabbed my hand and dragged me to the third floor, the private quarters of the Alpha. Each corridor I was taken down looked similar to the last. ā€œYouā€™re sleeping with me from now on.ā€ His voice was rushed and deep, holding a strong authoritative tone that had me slightly excited.  ā€œBut I have a room.ā€ I objected weakly. I wasnā€™t going to deny the excitement that crawled up my chest at the thought of sleeping in the same bed as Jake, for the foreseeable. ā€œI canā€™t let you go back to your guest room, I need you with me - every night.ā€ He promised with a husky voice that made me weak at the knees. Jakeā€™s room was larger than the guest room that I was staying in. There was a large dark wooden fou

šŸ¾ Beta Darren   When Rune and I returned to the Beta quarters on the second floor, I closed the door behind me with a big exhale, trying to rid myself of all the stress that had built up in my muscles. Cracking the articulations in my neck while doing so. ā€œAre you okay, Darren?ā€ My lovely mate asked me worriedly while her blonde curls bounced up and down, framing her heart shaped face. ā€œIā€™m good, donā€™t worry.ā€ I said and pulled her by her arms to my chest, before planting a tender kiss on her hair. ā€œYou are so sweet to me.ā€ She whispered against my chest. ā€œAnd how would I be otherwise?ā€ I chuckled. ā€œYou are my mate Rune.ā€ ā€œEven if I am a rogue and have a pup by some

āž³ Pernwél We had slept in each other’s embrace and I had felt pure happiness seep into my heart, while slumber took over my consciousness. The next morning I went to Jake’s office. After breaking his tub last night and the activities that had taken a toll on my body, I hadn’t had the strength to join him at pack training. When he woke up in the morning to leave for the training grounds, we decided that I was going to see him at his study before going to grandma Rose’s to try and figure out more about my druidic nature.I didn’t need to knock as he knew that I was coming, he would also smell my presence as I walked down the corridor. “Good morning.” I sang while entering Jake’s study.

āž³ Pernwél The first herb I picked up was Chamomile, as it reduces inflammation and swelling. I took the stalk of Echinacea for its wound healing and preventing infections. I cut up the stalk and removed the petals of the Chamomile to simmer together on a low burning fire in a bit of water with two drops of Lavender extract. I rummaged through the mineral cabinet and took out an Amethyst stone. I put it with the mixture when I took it off the burner and let it rest.I used one cup of shea butter and two of coconut oil and stirred them together making the perfect blend for adding the herbs later on. I strained them with water in the colander and left the Amethyst at the window to recharge in the sunlight. When I finished the ointments I put them in five different containers that Grandma Rose had provided.

āž³ Pernwél It was a nice afternoon of teamwork and I learned a lot from both women about Werewolf physiology and healing.Because shifters have a high body temperature, when they have a fever induced by intense body harm after a battle, it results hard to get their body temperature down. Rune showed us how to make an infusion from Feverfew leaves. If the leaves were to be chewed straight they could leave mouth ulcers and digestive problems, adding to the problem instead of helping. To the beverage she added Lemongrass to balance out the taste, making it easier to drink and because of the pain relief and anti inflammatory properties. I chimed in, adding Anise seed to it. Balancing out the digestive problems that could be caused by the Feverfew leaves.
