Devon When I woke up the next morning, I instantly looked to make sure Emerald was still in bed with us. She was; her head was buried in my chest, and I could feel her breathing. Nate was plastered along her back with his arm around her waist. I let out a sigh and smiled at my kitten. I had been told that she was able to shift but seeing it firsthand was unexplainable partially. I wasn’t even scared when she shifted, but when that rogue lunged at her, I was terrified that she was going to be hurt. When he fell to the ground in pieces, I knew my kitten’s claws were out, and they were deadly. I look up and see Nate staring at me. I know it scared the shit out of both of us when her eyes rolled back into her head, and she dropped like she was dead. “Do we wake her up?” Nates asked. “No, she needs to sleep,” I responded. “She also needs to eat to help recover some of her energy,” He points out. I was about to say something when a loud clap of thunder sounded from outside.

Helm I have no idea who the hell could be at the door. It’s late, and it’s raining heavily outside. I was surprised when Emerald growled like that. That is her warning growl. An omega walks into the room and tells Jason that two men here wish to talk to him. I have my back to the door, so I can’t see who it is. I hear Nalena gasp as I look up at her. The sheer panic and absolute terror on Emerald’s face tell me these people are not good. Emerald doesn’t even say anything; she just vanishes. Devon and Nate bolt up and look around. I have no doubt that she is hiding, and I have a feeling that it is not in the house. I turn around, and I am surprised to see Dax and Jax. They are two of Emerald's cousins. They are also cousins with Nalena and are from that side of the family that treated Emerald like shit. “Please introduce yourselves.” Alpha

Nate When Emerald vanished during dinner, I knew whatever had happened with the two that had shown up was bad. The look of absolute terror had my wolf growling in my mind. By the look on Devon’s face, his wolf was also ready to attack these two. I did feel bad for them after they explained what had happened to them. Alpha Jackson I am sitting on the corner of Jason’s desk, staring at the five people sitting in front of us. Jason is sitting in the chair behind his desk. We had no choice but to make them talk. Dax and Jax have been here for four days now, and I know my nephews had talked to Emerald about talking to them. Devon told me that she said she would think about it. However, it became apparent after two days that she was just avoiding the whole situation. She barely came out of their room, and when she did, she snuck around the house like some thief.
