Halima blinks back stray tears and stands up dusting her skirt even though she knows fully well that there's nothing to dust. Well, it's just a subconscious act that she's accustomed to. Falling on the stairs almost all the time she's rushing to get food from the kitchen back at her parents place has taught her that.  As she sniffs, trying to keep the tears at bay, Sa'eed passes beside her making sure no part of their bodies touch which is so unlike him. Whenever Sa'eed is passing beside her, no matter how wide the passage way he always touches her. Either by brushing their shoulders, using his fingers to slightly graze her thigh, hitting her ankle with his toes among others. And now, he's avoiding touching her like a plague and even though she whines anytime he trips her then catches her before she falls - another way of touching her -, it means alot to her. It's like their thing.  She rushes out and follows him almost tripping on

Sa'eed drops the special whip he bought for beating Halima. He had used the strong thick handle of the whip to hit his mother on the head, hard. He goes over to hold a hysterically crying Aleesha, while his mother lays unconscious on the ground with Halima trying hard to wake her up as tears stream down the latter's face unstoppably. "Haba Sa'eed what have you done?! Just take a look at Ammi, she's your mother for Allah's sake!" Halima says to Sa'eed who ignores her as she, with shaky hands tries to call either Amal or Afnan. They both know how to drive so they can get here fast. Amal picks the call and Halima almost shouts in relief. She's too confused to drive. Moreover the car Sa'eed gave her as birthday gift has been snatched by yours truly, Aleesha AbdulMajid.  " Amal come to my house fast." Amal utters and okay and before she can even ask what's wrong Halima cuts the call and calls Doctor Maryam to tell her to please help her with

"Are you sure it's her?" Zulqa says with furrowed brows.  "Yes, I'm very sure. And I heard Larai talking about it that the house help that works at Alhaji MaiDakwa's house." Zulqa's immediate younger brother who's a detective and private investigator living in the States - Aws - says and Zulqa nods still not believing what his brother has said.  He pulls out a picture of Lash and shows him making Aws laugh.  "Yaya I'm sure it's her. I have proof too." Aws shows him a video of Lash gouging out a pure black goat's left eye. Another one follows showing her eating a plant popularly known as poison ivy then her pupils change colors to red and green simultaneously.  Zulqa gulps and pauses the video feeling defeated, asphyxiated and trapped in a hole of maladroit and taut. He has to ask Lash what this is about even though he has an inkling of what it is since he was once.... He stops his

"Retaliate mana Sa'eed." Aleesha shouts and Sa'eed slaps Audu. As they both have eye contact Audu notices the color of his eyes and the way they're stagnant still and distant. Before you know it, Audu is out of the house. He calls his wife and she comes out saying she can't find her daughter. He asks her to enter the car and they drive back to the hospital.  As they enter, Audu calls Abba outside as he needs to speak to him.  "Sa'eed is under a charm. Anyi masa asiri {he has been sorcerized}." Audu says immediately they're outside the hospital at the parking lot. Abba looks at him baffled and just as he's about to ask how Audu knows Audu replies him.  "I lived with my grandfather who's a skilled hunter and malam. He uses verses from the holy Quran to bewitch animals into falling into his trap by changing some certain words in such verses. One day i followed him to hunt and i saw how he did his work. I then

Halima opens her eyes to look around, she's in a white room with everything white. Maybe she's already in heaven, afterall she deserves it because even devil knows that she's suffered a lot from Sa'eed in the name of marriage and Ibadah. Just as she turns, she meets two large eyes looking intently at her soul, they're creepy and awfully close to her face. She screams and scrambles to the other side of the bed, ignoring the protests her body is giving in form of pain from every part of your body.  "Hey calm down, be careful, don't open up your stitches." The man says smiling amusedly.  "Stitches? Who are you? What do you want? Where am i? And most importantly, how did i get here? I thought i wad in heaven?" The man laughs as Halima throws questions at her.  "My name is Doctor Aliyu Kwami. I'm a general surgeon and i was going to my house when i saw you three days ago lying in the middle of the road so i bro
