“Good morning, Mrs. King. Breakfast.” Rosa said as she sat the tray down in front of her.“Thank you.” She said as she sat up and carefully slid the tray in her direction as Rosa quickly left the room.She took the top off of her plate. It was full of fresh fruit and a couple of strips of bacon. She was reminded of Nick waking her up every morning with sweet kisses and a nice pancake breakfast they shared, as they laughed and talked about what outdoor things they could explore for the day. They had shared a simple life and she had loved every moment of it. They had lived in a Yurt, hunting and fishing for their meals. She had gotten back to her roots. She missed him so much already and it had been less than twenty-four hours since she had seen him last. 

They went to a upscale hair salon called The Hair Company. Bradley did all the talking while she sat in the salon chair pretending the way they discussed her like she wasn't there didn’t bother her. An hour later, Elayna’s locks were no longer above the shoulder or blonde. Her hair was back to the long, raven black locks that curled slightly at the ends. In the end she was back to wearing her red lipstick and fake eyelashes. He was changing her back to his ‘perfect’ toy. Elayna felt dizzy then, but chalked it up to her emotions running high from all of the questions she had just been asked. The drive home was brutally quiet. She didn't know how her husband was feeling about how the interrogation went. He wasn't acting like the usual Bradley she had married. It worried her. He was closed off in a way she had never seen before. Had his words been true? Had he missed her? When they arrived home she tried once again to walk around unattended, but Bradley was having none of that. She found herself walking along in their large flower garden in the crisp evening air. She was trying to process what all was going on. “You’re Pregnant.” Dr. Thompson announced to Elayna. She was in shock. She was pregnant...with Nick's baby. She couldn't’ deny their carelessness with birth control. They always tended to get caught up in their intense passion the last few months.  She took a deep breath. She was pregnant with another man's child. She wondered what Bradley would do to her. Would he make her get rid of it? She didn’t want to think about it, not just yet. She got out of bed then. The next few days for Elayna were boring to say the least. She stayed at their home. Even though their home was considered a mansion she was confined to Bradley’s Suite for the majority of her days. She was allowed to walk the premises one hour a day. The control he had on her was worse than before. It had become stifling. Bradley was never far away and made sure to give her magazines that had their faces plastered on them with salacious headlines like: “Elayna is home!
