21. Save me

JACOB I got all tongue-tied when Alison asked me about Michael. I hope she didn't suspect anything was wrong. I could kick myself for almost losing my cool! I decided to end things with Michael while I still could. Then, I wouldn't have to answer Alison. It was Wednesday morning, so I waited patiently for him to come over for his tutoring session. He was right on time and walked in with a devilish smirk on his face. Does he not feel guilty about what we did at all? His cocky attitude was infuriating. "Let's get started then," I said after clearing my throat. I led him to the kitchen and motioned toward the table so we could set up. "Yeah," he said and dropped down on the chair in front of me. "So, did you bring what I asked you to?" I asked. Michael looked at me with confusion. "Bring what?" "I told you. I wanted you to bring your latest graded exam so I can see what you need help with," I said irritabl

22. Family emergency

MICHAELJacob rushed me out of the house like it was on fire. I was disappointed that Francis was here, but I couldn't say anything. Jacob could probably sense my jealousy, so he couldn't wait to get rid of me.That hurt me a little. Does he prefer Francis over me?God, I am so stupid. Of course, he prefers him over me. Why would he choose me and get wrapped up in a fucked up love triangle?I got a text from Alison asking me if I wanted to go to the movies with her, but I ignored it. I was not in the mood. Besides, I felt like she would know that I wasn't feeling good as soon as she talked to me. I didn't want to answer a hundred questions about why I was acting weird. My phone started to ring again. It must be Ali trying to reach me. The girl does not know how to give up. I decided to answer this time because I didn't want to hurt her feelings.I looked at my phone, and it was my sister Melody calling me. That's weird. She

23. As long as you don't announce it

JACOB"You want to borrow my truck? You know I don't allow anyone to drive my truck. I'm the only one who gets to drive Paris," I declared when Alison asked me about it. I had a Ford F-150 truck, and I treated it like it was my firstborn. It was Thursday night. I agreed to meet up with Alison and Michael because she told me it was an emergency, but I sure as heck wasn't letting them borrow my truck."Um...we are not asking to borrow or drive your precious truck," Alison said irritably."You named your truck Paris?" Michael said, sounding amused.I ignored him. "Then what are you asking me?" I asked Alison."I...well, we wanted to ask if you would like to take a little trip with us," Alison said.I raised my eyebrows. What was up with the last-minute plan? "Trip? Where to?""I have to go home to my parents in Florida, and my car broke down," Michael said. So, he wants to use me for a ride now? Who does he

24. Take responsibility

MICHAEL "Ehem...Mike. You are still touching my leg." Jacob said, but I left my hand there. I wanted to see if he would swat it away, but he hadn't done that yet. "What's that?" I acted obliviously. "Your hand." "What about my hand?" "Mike!" he scolded me in a hoarse whisper. "It's comfortable where it is now. I'd like to keep it there," I declared. Jacob smirked. "Are you trying to fuck with me again? What's gonna happen if Alison wakes up and sees your hand touching my thigh? How's that gonna look?"

25. This is bad

ALISON I woke up alone in the car and looked around in confusion. I vaguely remember Jacob saying something about going to the bathroom but shouldn't they be back by now? How long has it been anyway? I should go check on them, I thought and stepped out of the truck. Jacob left the truck on so I wouldn't be hot, I guess. I appreciated the gesture, but I still needed to go find them. We had to hit the road soon if we wanted to make it there soon. I went inside the hotel and looked around. "Can I help you, miss?" the front desk agent asked. "Have you seen two guys walking in here looking for a restroom?" I asked. "One was wearing a green shirt and the other had jeans and a white t-shirt?" The agent nodded. "They went to the restroom, but it's been a few minutes. Maybe you should check on them," she said and chuckled. Jeez...did they both eat something bad or something? I thought men were faster when they u

26. Do you mind if I take a shower?

MICHAELI told Jacob to follow me to my room, and he silently did so. I could tell he was nervous about bunking with me tonight. I wasn't sure why. At this point, we've done way too much for him to be feeling shy."So...um...this is my room," I said awkwardly.Jacob smirked. "Let me guess. That's your bed."I laughed as my nerves loosened up. "Yes. And those are my pillows and sheets.""Great, I hope you have extra ones so I can start making my bed on the floor," Jacob said."I wouldn't allow such a thing. You take the bed, and I'll take the floor," I countered.Jacob furrowed his eyebrows. "Look, Mike. No one asked you to be a gracious host, so just shut up and keep the bed. I don't mind sleeping on the floor.""And no one asked you to be a polite guest so take the damn bed, JAKE," I said firmly. I wasn't going to back down so easily. No way.Jacob sighed. "There's gotta be an easier solution to this. We can't stand her

27. It feels so strange,

JACOBI couldn't help it. Michael is so adorable that he brings the flirt out of me, so I had to joke about him getting in the shower with me.He looked like he almost considered saying yes.I hopped into the shower and let the warm water pour down on me. After a long drive, it felt amazing."I am coming in," I heard Michael announce it and walked right in. What the hell is going on?I pulled the shower curtain to the side to look at him. "Michael, what the fuck? I wasn't done yet," I barked. "Wait your fucking turn.""I'm not here for the shower. I just want..." he stopped talking and looked me up and down. His heated gaze trailed down my chest, and abs then stopped between my legs. I could feel myself getting hard. Goddammit, things keep getting out of control with him."What do you want, Michael?" I asked quietly. I turned off the shower and looked at him questioningly."I don't know. I don't know what I was thinking, bargin

28. Michael and Jacob

ALISON I was disappointed when Michael's mother said I couldn't sleep in his bedroom. I was looking forward to spending some alone time with him, but now I was out here bunking with Melody while he was stuck with my brother. Maybe I will sneak into his room tonight, I thought. If I'm careful enough, Jacob won't notice. After everyone went to bed, I quietly walked toward Michael's bedroom. The house was dark and quiet, so I had to be extra careful. I tiptoed to his room and pushed the door open. I had to adjust my eyes because I couldn't see anything in the dark. I knew Jacob was sleeping on the ground and Michael on his bed, so all I had to do was to walk around him carefully. Jacob slept like the dead, so I'm sure he wouldn't wake up. But wait... Something wasn't right. I thought as my eyes adjusted to the dark. The bed was empty, but I saw movements on the floor. There were two bodies there, one on top of the

29. Don't you knock?

MICHEAL Alison had been acting weird this morning. She seems more...cuddly? I don't know how to describe it, but she is clinger than usual. Was it because she was at my parents' house? But it's not like I told her to show more PDA in front of them! "Baby, you got to try a piece of this omelet your mom made. So delish!" Alison said. "I know. I have the same omelet on my plate, so you don't need to feed it to me," I said and chuckled uncomfortably. "But it tastes even better when I feed it to you. Say, ahh!" she cooed and practically shoved it in my mouth. I couldn't help but be conscious of Jacob staring at us. He was chewing his food slowly while watching this very uncomfortable interaction between Alison and me. I wondered what he was thinking about. "Doesn't it taste so much better in the hands of your lovely girlfriend?" Alison asked and batted her eyelashes. Jeez, what was her deal? "Um...I guess?" I replied. Alison

30. What's with the lovey dovey act?

ALISONI didn't let Michael out of my sight. Not for one second. He kept glancing at my brother when he thought I wasn't looking at him. What a dickhead!Jacob, on the other hand, was a little more careful. He always was good at being cautious. That's how he could make it in the army I guess."Could you get some drinks for us, sugarplum?" I tapped Michael on the shoulder. I wanted him to go do something useful instead of gawking at my brother all night."Yeah okay," Michael shrugged and walked away."What's your problem these days?" Jacob turned to me and asked as soon as Michael was out of our earshot."Whatever do you mean?" I asked innocently."You've been stuck to him like a glue all night, and what's with the lovey dovey act?" Jacob rolled his eyes.I gasped. "Act? How dare you? Can't a friend love on her super hot boyfriend without being judged?""Ali...you aren't the type. You don't act clingy in public. I'
