Chapter Eighty One
Elena and her husband, Calhoun, entered the room created for them. It was still Calhoun's space, but it had been made to accommodate them. They had moved her things while she was getting married into Calhoun's room. She didn't have much to bring anyway, but she knew that would change once everything was over and had returned to normal. Calhoun's room was arranged the same way it had been the last time she was in it. Apart from her possessions which didn't occupy any considerable portion of the room, it was still manly and darkish in color. If she meant to occupy the space, many things would have to change. She didn't know what she was expecting when she walked inside. Though she had been hiding a lot in the Kingdom of Pres and never had an opportunity to attend a wedding, she read many books about marriages. They all explained that the room meant for the bride and the groom was arranged during the wedding night for easy copulation. She blushed just thinking about it. She gue

Chapter Eighty Two
Three months later. The blood Kingdom... The soldiers lined up in the field, bustling with energy. The time for war had come. They had been training vigorously for months, waiting for this period. The Allikans had started a full-blown attack on the other kingdoms, but they knew that their biggest guns hadn't been brought out yet. Commotions have been happening in the pathway close to the blood kingdom. Some of the warriors have been delegated to fight them off, and most times, they had returned successfully. Word had reached that the Kingdom of Pres and the Kingdom of Tush had fallen under the Allikans attack. The Kingdom of Neba still stood firm against their enemies, warding them off. Every Kingdom was currently drenched in the scent of war. Men, women, and children retired early. There were no more fun games and wooing of women that usually happened daily in the streets of the blood kingdom. The weather became even colder than expected, and the sky darker. Rarely

Chapter Eighty Three
The Kingdom of Pres. The king's castle… "Our king has been missing for three months now." Côtan Lokï, the duke and the closest advisor to the king stated. He talked to the group of politicians who had joined him in a secret place to discuss how to save their Kingdom. The past few months have been hell for the people of Pres. They felt they had defeated the Allikans once they had come out of their stupor, but more Allikans returned, and in less time, they were defeated. "Are you sure it wasn't on purpose?" One of the ministers asked. "He did sound weird the last we spoke to him." "No. Our king wouldn't just leave us like that." Côtan Lokï stated though a small voice inside him feared it was true. After he had been brought out of the vile of the evil queen, he was hit with the most intense feeling of regret he had ever felt in his entire life. He remembered the sad things he did or caused to humiliate their queen. He remembered the little Elena, who he had ador

Weeks had passed, and the battle across the kingdoms had become heated and much worse. Famine and drought had shown their ragged faces across the three outer kingdoms, and even the great kingdom of Neba wasn't exempted from it. Though their situation was much better than that of the other kingdoms. The blood kingdom didn't suffer the fate of the other kingdoms, but they were covered with a shroud of melancholy. There was no grief but no joy either. They all prayed heavily to their Ancestors that their loved ones come back from the war and that if they don't, let the death of the ones lost in the war not be in vain. The warriors of the blood kingdom had been engaged in a deadly war with the elites of Allika. These were more powerful than those sent earlier to lay havoc on the other kingdoms, so the warriors found it harder to defeat them. They fought with everything they had got, losing some of their men. For the ones who could be saved, Elion turned them to a Balaksa. Those

The warriors stood aside, watching the now empty warzone. They remained silent, trying to take in what had just happened, then immediately, they all cheered loudly. "YAHHH!!!" they shouted, pumping their fist and weapons up in the air. Some of them rushed to each other, embracing themselves in a hug. Elena and Calhoun looked at them, a small smile etched. They allowed them this small moment of victory, even though they knew it wasn't the end of the war. Elion came out of where she stayed, heading towards Calhoun and Elena while Aaron supported her. She had a mischievous smile on her face. "That was a great plan you had there." Calhoun said, walking towards her with Elena right behind him. "It was dirty, not at all honourable, but it did the job." Elion exchanged looks with Aaron, then she turned back to face Calhoun. "Thanks." She said. Elena looked at the both of them suspiciously, but she remained quiet. "Thanks to you, we were able to create enough time for ou

The thunderous sounds of marching enemies caused Elena and Calhoun to leap from where they sat, straight to the war field. The blood warriors were already alert, poised for attack for the incoming guests. Suddenly, the visitors stopped. A cloud of dust surrounded them, making it impossible for Elena's side to view who they were. Both teams stood there, waiting for who would take the first action. Elena and Calhoun stood at the forefront of their men, acting as their leaders. With Aaron by her side, Elion stood somewhere amid the heavily built soldiers, the Balaksa ready for action just at the snap of her fingers. They had not adequately prepared for the next war, but they all stood boldly, ready to face the next obstacle before them. Slowly, the cloud of dust surrounding their guests began to recede, and finally, the giant flag that represented them could be boldly seen. It was impossible, Elena thought, her mind in shock. She recognized the flag. She was ver

Chapter Eighty Seven
"You mentioned that I have always been the center of your visions," Elena asked Wazir. Two days had passed since his arrival, and he had gotten relatively acquainted with the blood warriors. Daruki and his daughter Svetlana preferred to be in their comfort zone than relate with anyone they didn't know. Except when they were outlining the moves for the war, they were not seen roaming around the camp like Wazir. There was tension in the air that was not barely felt when they ended the first war. They were all expecting something big, something very immense. They knew subconsciously that the next fight would be the greatest they had ever fought in their history, and it would determine the fate of all the kingdoms in the world. No Allikan had been sighted for a while. They disappeared, and it was like they were never there in the first place. It was unnerving, making them all be on edge. Wazir looked up at his niece as she sat on the chair next to his bed. He and his warriors ha

Chapter Eighty Eight
Standing at the opposite end of the field as he led his soldiers with Svetlana and Daruki by his side, Wazir felt his world crumble as he saw his father. He should have expected it. He should have thought of it. It had been bothering him on why the Alliance hadn’t attacked for a month; it turned out that they were using the opportunity to raze another kingdom to the ground. He recognized that dead empty look in his father’s eyes. The king of Pres once sported that look, that is, till the spell over him began to wear off. He looked at the man who spoke for the Alliance, wishing he could tear his face from his head. Slovic, he would never forget that name. Wazir wondered if he was the one who had cast a spell on him if then all he had to do was kill him to free his father from his clutches. But just as he continued looking at his father, he began to notice the strange figures that rose behind them.Elena could see the people who didn’t put on the white garb of the Allikans stand

Elena's world shattered into pieces. Everything she had ever believed, everything that she had thought was true, her whole world was built on lies."Oh, I see that my story touched you. That's good. Well it's too bad though, I'll not be able to hear your take on it. You have to die."Elena lay there, not aware of her surroundings anymore. Even after Slovic struck her, causing her to fly several meters away, she still didn't care. Her whole world had just been turned upside down. She landed with a heavy thud against the corpses of soldiers who had been killed. Something in her must-have ruptured because she started choking out blood. Her head was bleeding, the blood flowing to her face and blocking her eyesight. She tried getting up, but she couldn't move her limbs. She planted her elbows steady on the ground, trying to balance herself, yet they gave out, causing her to lie back down. Slovic appeared before her, tsking. "You are not as strong as I thought you were." He said

Silence and dread permeated the air. A reddish black smoke rose from the air to the darkened sky, and everyone's view was on it. Elena paused her strike on Slovic to look up at the sky. Calhoun was already facing the encounter with a deep scowl on his face. "What is going on here?" the shrill voice questioned. "Why am I seeing more people than expected?" The smoky cloud surrounding the voice's owner dissipated to reveal Firoza in a black armour gown, her flowing black hair kept loose. She looked around the battlefield with an evil smile, beaming at the soldiers."Not what I had been expecting." Slowly, she made her descent to the ground, several feet from where Elena, Calhoun, and Slovic were. The latter, who was almost unconscious, but was still smiling, called out in a frail voice."Niece, you are finally around. What took you so long?" Firoza turned around to face him and smiled once she saw Calhoun. "Calhoun!" she called out, her expression changing imm
