The next lessons passed like a blur, I was hardly listening and fantasized about stupid stuff throughout the lessons. I locked myself bout of class and played poker, chess and watched a movie inside my head. Being delusional was a very good calling, for one you could never get bored anywhere, your head could always keep playing movies inside to keep you busy and entertained. The tea break bell rung and I rushed out of class very happy and glad, that finally I would get to pout something in my stomach. The usual breakfast, a pitcher of milk, some juice, and a few accompaniments. I sat down with my food and began scoping happily while taking time to drink everything, so I could savor all the sweetness and the taste. I noticed a figure in front of me and looked up in surprise before continuing to take my breakfast.Didn’t Sasha know that there was a pact for peace, if anything, she should be aware and look for a new hobby.“Why are you acting so mighty and important out of the blue?’’ sh

‘‘Calm down, someone will get to hear us,’’ a male voice called out as it laughed deeply in a heavy masculine voice.‘‘What no, no one can hear u, we are at the furthest corner of the school, I could scream for all I want,’’ a lady voice that was awfully familiar called out.The excitement in the voices was evident as they came closer. I looked around for a place to hide. The trees around weren’t too being for me to hide behind them. They were tall and slim which only meant that I would be more than visible behind them. If I decided to sprint to another corner, it would be too late. They would have spotted me already. The male voice wasn’t Vince or the bullies that I knew about. Did he send different scouts, or were they the thieves who stole my clothes.‘‘How dare you look down on thieves when you are the grand one, remember Sandra’s clothes, the washing soap, this is karma kissing you hard and fast,’’ my subconscious warned and laughed at me.No person could ever be sane when differ

I closed my math exercise book and sat back angrily. What more was I supposed to do to rase my grades, nothing good ever came out of anything I did. The only time I proved useful was when I was breathing out carbon dioxide to be used by plants in the environment.I took out my planner that was halfway filled and was glad today was filled. It was science once again. As much as I loved science I freaked out at the mention of the subject and teacher because of one thing. His favorite phrase was group yourselves. Also, one of my worst nightmares.‘‘Let us all head to the lab,’’ the teacher announced out of nowhere.I grunted in dismay as I packed my books slowly and waited for everyone to head out so I could do the same. It was better if I stayed behind and walked behind everyone else, that way no one would see me and make any jokes.I thought it was awesome plan until I arrived last and found everyone already grouped into their own tables.‘‘Miss Shaley,’’ the Science teacher called as s

My favorite and worse bells were the ones that rung at lunch time. For one I would get a chance to savor the sweet taste of food in case the bullies forgot about my existence for a short while and decoded t live and concentrate on their lives for once. The best parts of my lifer were always spent eating, with my mouth stuffed with food as juices dripped down my throat towards my digestive truck. The other happy parts were spent when I was sleeping and dreaming of no one in particular. Dreaming of no one and nothing as dear sleep took me to wonderlands I had never visited before. After the science teacher had finished his glory speech about potassium symbol being K, and advising me to take ten minutes of my time at the hallways and school gate every day to study the chemical symbols on the wall, the bell rung. It was a huge sigh for me, because finally I would stop feeling stupid and at least start feeling better. The hallways were crowded as usual and I matched towards my locker on th

When you see your bully and greatest enemy suffering, the first instinct should be to cry out in joy, to thank the heavens and Gods, to whisper a thank you prayer to whoever made it happen. It wasn’t the first time that I was daydreaming, it was my talent, since I couldn’t live happily in the world I could comfortably do it inside my head.I rubbed my eyes and confirmed the events. ‘‘What is going on here?’’ the principal asked as he made his way trough the crowd of students.Wea all stepped aside and I looked down as he passed next to me so he could not remember my face and laugh loudly.‘‘Step aside, can you all stop gathering here like uncivilized people,’’ he added as he entered the clearing.‘‘Sir, I have been, I…’’ Ryan pretended as he began introducing himself, as a prefect, the fakeness of his speech was what awed me the most. Why did people find it so easy to pretend. One could go ahead to pretend so much, so much to an extent that they forget about their real identity or selves.Or perhaps like a famous writer and orator I couldn’t remember placed it, most of the time, the lies people tell, reveal more about them than the truth. Funny. The fight was still on of course. No one was ready to conceded to admit that they were finally defeated. Vince drugged Cage towards the wall as Cage pulled him back attempting to lift his weigh in a commando move and du

‘‘Will you come to prom with me?’’ The question caught me off guard and for a moment I stood their perplexed, I didn’t know what to do or how to even do it in the first place. How did people answer just questions? Did they cry first or just say yes straight away without thinking. Was he seriously asking me to go to prom with him? Prom was a big event; it was grand for everyone. You didn’t just show up with anyone at prom, you didn’t just walk into prom night with any cloth that was on top off your wardrobe, it was different. ‘‘Are you seriously asking me to come to prom with you?’’ I asked again refusing to believe it. There were hundreds of girls out there, many people that would say yes to him. Cage wasn’t ugly, any girl would fall in love easily with him. His perfect charms that began with his ease of words and pure vibes, his soft and deep laughter that run deep and finally his intoxicating black eyes. He was a package, that I had to admit, he could easily get a girl like Sash

I frowned in disdain and disgust as I watched the pathetic staged attempt to get attention by the two. Everyone was smiling, laughing, clapping and blowing kisses in the air at them, except I. The last time I checked, Sasha was a good swimmer, she had an athletic body that blended that moved fast inside water, she didn’t even need to try her frame automatically floated. Th moment they reached the stairs, Vince Carried Sasha by the waist and placed her on top of the highest stair case before doing a low curtsy and salute to the swimming teacher. ‘‘Can you all clap for him,’’ she ordered as everyone did. ‘‘I must say I am impressed, we haven’t reached that part of the topic and lessons yet, but he is already ahead of you, keep it up young man, ‘’ she added. ‘‘Let’s all emulate the good example and conduct displayed by him.’’ She was now overdoing it, overpraising the fake duo. ‘‘I think they suck,’’ I whispered at Barbra. ‘‘Yeah, I do too,’’ she replied and we giggled silently. I accepted the generous ice cream donation and stood back to lick it carefully, gratefully, in a manner that was meant to piss my enemies. This was a first of many, the first generous humane act towards me. The first person in Maslow High School to publicly treat me like I cared, like I was a girl who deserved some love and attention. This entry needed to make its way to the guniese world book of records. I looked up at Cage and found him staring at the group on the other side of the pool. The group of bullies were openly staring at him too. The whole class freezed and stopped murmuring as they joined the staring contest between the two. The teacher was confused about the silence too and stood up to ask what the problem was. Vince had a sore face from the fight earlier today and Cage had a sore face too. It was clear, the battle that was going on. Giving me the ice cream meant that Cage had declared a public war with Vince and his group, or what was really happening? I remember the

sometimes it feels like my whole life is a tragic story, a tragic sad story that people are watching in front of the televisions and theatres to have fun. for fan. masking fan of my predicaments and everything about me. “are you even listening,” barbra cried. “uh what was it, “ i attempted to make up for being absent minded the entire time she was in the middle of telling me a whole big story. “nothing,” she replied obviously pissed off. living inside my head was an art that i had mastered, an art i had perfected everyday of the year. i could be physically resent, but mentally absent. it was an art you adopted and perfected when you didn’t want to live anymore. when you didn’t acre, have stopped caring, have given up and are done with trying. “by the way, i meant to tell you,” she coughed. tell me what? i asked pretending to be curious at whatever she wanted to tell me. i wasn’t used to people hanging around me the whole day, lest of all, people whispering above my shoulder the
