Ruby sighed, sitting on her bed. She had been packing her luggages since morning and it seemed like it was never ending. She never knew she had so much stuff. Yesterday after signing the contract with Luke, Gabriel had entertained them a little before they had bid bye. Ruby had been to her part time work places and resigned right away. It was kind of difficult to resign from her job at the departmental store that she used to work at. It was not a problem with the owner but the memories of breaking up with her then boyfriend, Adam in that place made it difficult for her. She had left the place with tears in her eyes. Seeing everyone ignore her and leave her alone, Gia's anger only doubled and tripped in a matter of time. She immediately stormed out of the penthouse. And she grabbed her phone from her purse and dialed her Aunt Anna's phone number. “Hey, sweetie,” Anna greeted from the other side of the phone. Gia cringed at her aunt's greetings. Normally she would have greeted back with the same enthusiasm but today she did not feel like reciprocating it. “I wish I could greet you with the same sweetness, auntie,” Gia said as she got off the elevator. Gabriel hummed a song as he walked through the corridors of Luke's company. He had no plans of joining the company and taking things seriously. So here he was, to bug his best friend. Gabriel saw that Luke's secretary was holding a cup of coffee as she came out of the pantry. He walked directly towards her, “Is that for me darling Madeleine?” He asked her. Madeleine was a twenty something girl and she had been working as Luke's secretary as recently as four months. She was good enough for the job and Luke was in dire need of a secretary as he had fired the previous one because of a certain reason. Madeleine looked up at Gabriel. Ruby looked at the screen. It was an unknown number. She usually does not receive the phone calls from unknown numbers. But she did it this time. “Hello? Who is this?” Ruby asked. “It is me, Anna,” said the voice from the other side. “Anna?” Ruby repeated the name. Hearing the word, Rosa came outside the kitchen. She went closer to ruby and sat down next to her.
