Chapter 1

Camila's P.O.V "Congratulations" Mrs Porter says shaking my hand. I nod with a small smile at her, she's just a sweet old polite lady, there was no reason to be rude toward her. "Thank you"I replied with a soft voice, almost tearing up. "He's a real keeper" she says, motioning to my now newly wedded husband. My eyes watched as he greeted everyone, laughing with them as they congratulated him, he's just as fake as everyone esle around here. "That he is" I agreed, placing my hand on her forearm. I saw my father's eyes as they roamed over me, I looked away immediately, feeling a pound in my heart, knowing he was watching my every move. "Will you excuse me?" I ask Mrs Porter, just as she searched my disoriented image. "Of course dear, I understand how overbearing this must be for you" she replies patting my hand. With a smile, I waled out and onto the balcony, the cool air wel

Chapter 2

Camila's P.O.V The smell of waffles filled the kitchen as I sipped my coffee by the island. I had woken up once my alarm went off at 4:30 a.m, I went about with my regular morning exercise, journaling and meditation. I had to find at least some peace of mind in a world full of power. My laptop sat on the kitchen island before, I stared at the screen intently as I watched a preview of my favorite TV series, The Vampire Diaries, I really couldn't get enough of Damon Salvatore but my heart really aches for Stefan Salvatore, no grudges, I just loved Stefab a little more.My journal and planner sat next to my laptop along with my pencils, highlighters and markers. Whenever I wasn't doing what my family wanted, I tried to at least have some peace in my mind and heart, I just had to. So I journaled, I write in the morning, the aftertoon and before bed, it's been a routine for a while a while now, something I picked up in middl

Chapter 3

Camila's P.O.V "Oh, look who decided to finally show up!", exclaimed my mother, once I stepped foot into the sitting room.I fought the urge to roll my eyes, seeing heads turn to look in my direction. My eyes caught every snare from the members of my family, but I played it off as if it was nothing and put my bags on the floor."What're those?" Quinn asks pointing to the two the bags."Wedding gifts, from Josh" I replied shrugging my shoulders. That was enough to keep her uninterested for as long as it could. It was just 1:30 p.m, I couldn't control the lunch meeting at the tavern, Josh and I had a lot of catching up to do."How is Josh?" Mom asks adjusting herself where she sat, "haven't seen him around in a while" she finished playing as if she cared."He was in Fiji, on business" I replied nodding my head, letting the answer in the air. There was a heavy silence in the room until

They could've just gone another way, but they Seniors wanted to make sure it was a real marriage, or their million dollar deal was off. Both families already had billions of dollars, why did we have to

Chapter 5

Camila The taste of cold lemonade filled my tastebuds as I gazed over the beach. It has only been a week since we've been in Italy, and it wasn't all that bad. Elijah wasn't a total scum as I thought, but I will never let my guard down. He's a Camorra, I never trust one, except Mira, you can't not trust Mira, she's one in a million and will most definitely fight for your trust. As I sat under an umbrella scene, I gazed at the couples enjoying their trip, they looked in love, there was even one couple feeding each other. There was feeling inside me that so wanted one of them to choke, lucky bastards. I was stuck here with a man I rarely even liked, let alone to be in love with and they're just flaunting their love in the air. Italy was definit

Chapter 6

Camila "Stop"I laughed trying to push Elijah away from me as we entered the house. He has been bugging me and trying to annoy me since we landed and the car came to pick us up. Mind, there was a lot of paparazzi when we landed, to say it was unexpected would be a lie. And to see us laughing, that only gave them more gossip, so we'll expect new magazine covers by tomorrow morning. "Come on, it couldn't have been that bad Cam"he says chucking and taking my suitcase. I shook head with a smile, he started calling me Cam ever since that dinner, after we got drunk and went back to our room, some very interesting things happened that we decided to never speak of again. Now, he was asking m

Chapter 7

Elijah I walked into the kitchen smelling waffles again, two days in a row I've been smelling waffles and each time I come into the kitchen, Camila was seated at the island. Except this time, she was seated on top of the island with her earphones in and her legs crossed, her eyes closed and she looked calm and peaceful. Chef was by the waffle maker, he was already dressed in his uniform, he never spoke to anyone, just cooked and served. I've heard Camila laughing and snickering whenever she was with him alone, but he never smiled to anyone else or talked to to anyone else, she really had her way with others. I haven't been able to look at Camila from the night before because she always trie

Chapter 8

Camila"I can't believe your Dad had him inside your house"Josh says over the Skype call.He and Mira called me right after I told them who was here earlier. I don't think he's gone yet because Elijah hadn't come calling me. I couldn't believe he was here either, all those things my father made me do just so he could make more money and be at the top.He never once used Quinn for his work purposes, he always used me. And I couldn't do anything about it because he'd most likely kill me if I went against his words."I believe he would, after all he's done and is still doing, he will stop at nothing to get what he wants"Mira says skipping through her textbook pages.

Chapter 9

Camila "Thanks Josh, I'll email you the rest of the information"I say to the blonde boy staring at me through the my laptop. "Sure, we'll talk later"he says waving his hand with a smile. I smile then ended the Skype video call. I rubbed my eyes and winced at the pain in my right arm, I rolled up my sleeve and looked at the black and blue bruise that once was red, it covered almost half of arm. I had to wear hoodies and long sleeved shirts around the house. My mother indeed got her revenge, she couldn't wait until it was just us in the house. I wanted to go out but my father ordered me not to, I really knew better than to go against his orders.

Chapter 10

Camila "You know that it is mandatory for us to attend this gala"Dad says to me, trying his best to not yell all because I told him didn't feel well to go. We go every year, if we miss one year I'm sure it won't be a problem. I don't have to go, if they want to then they can. But I really wasn't up for the challenge. "She says she's not feeling well Nick, at least let her sit this one out"Judie says rubbing my arm in comfort. I knew she wasn't like the rest of them, ever since she's been here, she's tried to be on my side as much as possible. I appreciate that, but my father would always get his way, no matter how hard we try and plea with him to let me stay home.
