"You have to be careful," Chad's voice was mixed in between hard and care. Kathryn took a deep breath, "I am being careful..." "No, Kathryn. You're not," Chad argued. "Look, I saw another one of those men near the athletic bowl this morning. They're watching you both, Kathryn." Kathryn paused, feeling a shiver run down her spine, "T-They're watching Zachary?" Chad stared at her, feeling the urge to step forward and calm her down. "Kathryn. I know you're doing your best and all. But isn't it time you tell him the truth? Even if it's in secret, you're already seeing each other and it already has come to this.... So why not just tell him what’s really happening?" Kathryn's eyebrows furrowed, face contorted in absolute conflict. Suddenly, she began to tremble.Chad felt his heart was squeezed tight as he observed Kathryn and her expression. Without thinking carefully, he took a step forward and pulled the

As soon as Kathryn's class was over, she immediately switched her phone on which she had put in silent mode and instantly felt stupid for doing so. There were about three missed calls from the hospital and a text message saying Zachary had finally woken up. Kathryn's heart started to pound loud as she forced her legs to move quicker and head out of the school grounds, feeling different emotions swirling in her stomach. Each step she took became heavier and heavier, her whole body trembled, her mind filled with none other than wanting to see Zachary quickly as she could. She was too focused to see that the older was fine that she even forgot to tell her friends about the good news. That could be done later, Kathryn thought as she remembered then. She took a deep breath in front of Zachary's room, suddenly feeling unsure whether she should open the door or not. Things like Zachary would not even want to be near her or see her made Kathryn fearful and sick to the stomach.&

As a woman, this was difficult to accept. Especially when all she ever wished for was to build a family with her beloved, to make her own bundles of joy after growing up without a family to call her own. But when she discovered she could never get pregnant, not even a million years, Kathryn lost all the confidence in such beliefs and big dreams. And it came even harder to say it to Zachary himself - thoughts such as, what would happen if he knew? Would he leave Kathryn when he did learn Kathryn couldn’t give him children in the future?More than anything, Kathryn didn’t want to face this hard truth and wanted to keep them to herself. Only to be found out by no other than Zachary’s father. He told her then, she could never give a child to Zachary no matter how hard she tried and that only Scarlet could fulfill that part…"I couldn’t do it, Zack. I tried - I tried doing what he told me. To forget you, let you go... But I couldn't completely

Cuddling after a tiring activity turned out to be Zachary and Kathryn's favorite routine. Kathryn's leg was entangled with Zachary's one as Kathryn lay next to her still healing lover.Earl, being the first to know about Zachary finally waking up after Kathryn, visited Zachary a while ago saying Zachary's coach together with Chad, David, and other teammates would probably be visiting too after their practice. Luckily, Earl didn't come at the worst possible scenario and only found the two cuddled up together which confused him to the max before the two explained everything. Earl felt betrayed and so left out he was the only person other than Zachary who didn't know about Kathryn's situation."I thought you stopped liking me because I still sneak out sometimes and drink or smoke," Zachary mentioned while Kathryn was peeling an apple for him on a chair near his bed, just a few minutes after Earl left. Kathryn stopped and stared at Zachary, blinking cluelessly

Soon, the swimming team bid their goodbyes, explaining they too had to attend to some personal matters of their own. They teasingly made a remark to Zachary though, advising the injured man to watch out for any rival who'd take Kathryn away from him, which, as always, Zachary glared at and flipped them off. He was waiting for Kathryn to come when the door finally opened and revealed not one but two figures. Kathryn nudged Chad to come in, capturing Zachary's dragon eyes that looked like they were burning holes on Chad's clothes that were touched by Kathryn. Chad gulped. Zachary's possessiveness was no joke after all. Why did Chad make the biggest mistake? Why was he so dumb? Not wanting to add more reasons to be killed, Chad purposely made a distance from Kathryn and went ahead to meet Zachary. "Hey," Chad remained calm as he cleared his throat, "How are your injuries?" Zachary scoffed at that, sending shivers down Chad's spin
