~Jane~"Here you go, Ms. Foster. You're free to go now," Doctor Stone said gently, handing me the discharged papers. "Thank you so much," I replied, managing a small smile. After the doctor stepped out, I glanced towards Nathan. His blue eyes met mine- warm and steady. "You ready to get out of here?" I nodded, not trusting my voice. He stepped closer and reached for my hands, helping me sit up and swing my legs over the side of the bed. Even that small touch sent a flutter through me- my body reacting before my mind could catch up. He didn't let got as we walked to the door, our fingers still linked like it was the most natural thing in the world. The hallway felt endless, each fluorescent light humming quietly overhead as we walked towards the front of the hospital. I didn't realize how badly I needed to leave this place until we stepped outside. The night air wrapped around me like a sigh of relief. ~Nathan~When we stepped though the doors, I saw her eyes widen, she looked around like she was seeing magic for the first time, and something in me stirred. I wanted her to look at this place- and at me- like that forever. She didn't speak, just turned slowly to take it all in. The light hit her hair like gold, and for a moment, I forgot we were in a place meant to impress anyone else. I only cared that she felt safe here. I leaned in close, trying not to startle her. "Are you okay?" My voice was low, careful. She looked like she might float away if I said too much. Her voice was soft, almost reverent. My chest tightened. She wasn't just talking about the foyer- I knew it. And for the first time, I felt hope that she might be starting to see this place as hers. I smiled, letting the words fall naturally. "This is your home now, Jane." I wanted her to believe it- not just as a place to sleep, but somewhere she could belong. Somewhere she could heal. She didn't say anything, but I

~Jane~We headed back over to the elevator and waited for the doors to open. As soon as the doors opened, Nathan and I walked in together. Jay, Zackary, and Seth seemed to already know and didn't follow behind us as they left Nathan and me here alone. The doors then closed, and Nathan and I stood here while the elevator started to go back down. I seem to feel that same tension I felt before from the last time we stood here together, my heart started to pound inside my chest from this closeness of Nathan standing here next to me. It's crazy to think about this effect he seems to always have on me, it's strange none of this makes sense to me, and yet at the same time when I'm with him, I felt like I belonged here with him. Like this is where I'm supposed to be, that I'm meant to be with this man. ~Nathan~ "Jane," I said as I tried to wake her up from her nap. After a few seconds she then opened her eyes and looked up at me from where she lay, I couldn't help but think about how beautiful she was. She seemed at peace when she sleeps, I didn't want to wake her but my father has asked to talk to her about something. "Is something wrong Nathan?" She asked. "No, everything is fine Jane. But my father would like to try and talk to you if that's okay." I said. "Okay." She said giving me a nod. She then sat up in the bed and removed the sheets coving her and started to climb out, and I soon followed behind and stood next to her. "Why does he need to talk to me?" She asked looking up at me. "I'm not sure, he wouldn't say, just wanted me to see if you'd be up to talking to him for a moment," I said in response. I then took her hand in mine and we walked out of the room, I closed the door behind us and walked over to the stairs, and started to make our way down. As we rea

~Jane~"Jane," Nathan said as he tries to wake me.After a few seconds, I then opened my eyes. And looked over to where Nathan lay, he was propped up putting his weight on his right arm as he looked over at me. "Nathan, is something wrong?" I asked. "Everything is okay Jane," Nathan said. I then looked over at the alarm clock to see what time it was, and when I looked at it, it said it was five-thirty in the morning. I then looked back over at Nathan. "Why are we up this early Nathan?" I asked confused. "Today is your first day of school, my father has already enrolled you to start today. It's something he is very strict about, everyone in the pack must attend school." Nathan said. "But what about Zander? what if he tries to come after me?" I asked sounding worried at the thought, what if he tries something like he did back in the mall when he knew where I was? "You have nothing to worry about him Jane, I swear you'll be safe there. I won't allow anything to happen to you, Jane.
