“Hazel. Come on, babe. Wake up.” I held her hand in my palms, giving it a slight squeeze.  This past week has gone by so slowly. Life has been pretty hard for me. Hazel’s improvement was only slight.  I was with her physically, but my entire body longed for my darling lively Hazel.  I had grown to appreciate her more than ever. I knew she always made me happy, but I only realized the extent.  My life was a mess without her.   The saucy Dr. Steve had said she was getting really better and was going to be back on her feet very soon, but I wasn’t seeing that happen.  I was growing depressed by the day; it felt like my heart was about to burst, my whole world was crumbling down. I planted a kiss on Hazel’s knuckles, then her forehead.  I longed to see h

Author's Note
Hi, everyone. Thanks for reading this book and for your comments.  This is not an update, but just to let you know that I'm sorry for not updating this book and for my constant slow updates.  I have an exam to write on February 9, so I've been studying for it and was also kinda sick; that explains why I haven't been consistent with updating this book. Though I'm almost completely fine now, I'm still studying.  After February 9, I might take a day or two days break to clear my head off any stress, then will be fully back to writing, and I'll try my absolute best to be consistent with the update.  I might be able to update a chapter before February 9, but if I can't, I hope you understand why.  Thanks a lot for your comments. They mean a lot to me.  Love y'all 🥰 To stay updated about this book or for future updates, You can follow me on Instâgram: @giftodulesiOr join my Fâcebook Grôup:

Pacing around the room, I stopped to stare at Hazel on the bed, praying for her to open her eyes.  There was a knock on the door then Kye and Charlotte started walking in, though I didn’t remember telling them to do so.  Charlotte had a small basket in her hand which she dropped on the nightstand beside Hazel.  “Hey, dude.” Kye said as he stopped beside me while Charlotte sat beside Hazel.  “She still isn’t awake?” Charlotte asked rhetorically, staring at Hazel in worry; she started taking out plates from the basket.   “Exactly!” I exclaimed. “And Nora has given her the last dose of the antidote, with full assurance that she was going to wake up soon. I’m really over-stressed, I haven’t had proper sleep, and—” “You really need to get a good rest.&

I was glued to my bed, carefully watching Tristan as he walked around preparing for work.  I was finally feeling it around me that it had been a while since I had been awake, so watching Tristan walk around shirtless, showing off his body I considered well-defined, with his strong biceps flexing as he moved them around, felt so great; his body made me feel like drooling, and it caused an uncomfortable tingliness in my entire body, and the fact that he wasn’t paying attention to me was worsening it.  He picked up his phone to make a call as he brushed his hair and slipped out a shirt and singlet from the wardrobe.  “Of course, I’ll definitely be there today. Try to re-book my appointments with as many of them as possible, and try your best to balance my schedule for this week with the last two weeks'.” He said into the phone, then sighed. “I know, I know. ~ HAZEL ~ “Yes, Mrs. Anderson.” I smiled at her as Sherri handed over a mug of coffee to her as she had requested.  “I was wondering why you weren’t at work, and why you weren’t answering your phone calls. I’d have come earlier, but it was so hard for me to find your home address.” She said with a smile she never displayed to me before my marriage, not stopping herself from staring around the house.  “Really? I thought I already submitted it. I’m so sorry for not calling to let you know after waking up.” I apologized sheepishly.  “Oh, it’s nothing.” She waved a hand over her face with a grin, taking a sip from the coffee. “Your house is really beautiful.”  “Thank you.” I stared at Tristan who was staggering down the stairs in his shorts and a large robe that didn’t do anything in hiding his bare chest. He looked tired, which was totally understandable, judging from how he had been wor

“How do you know Lucy? Who the hell is Tiffany?” Tristan asked. “Uh… I— I… she… uhm…” why on Earth was I stuttering?  “Please speak to me.” He shoved the box aside to move closer to me, holding my hands that began to vibrate.  “Tristan, I— I don’t… really… wh—” “Hazel,” he called with his teeth gritted in frustration.  “I— I— I’m… I don’t think she’s who… no, Lucy isn’t Tiffany. She just really looks like her.” I ended with a nervous smile, hoping he wasn’t going to press further. “So who the hell is Tiffany? And why do you seem so scared to see her again?” He was starting to frown really hard.  “Uh… she’s…” I was trying to think of the perfect way to describe Tiffany, but nothing sensible could fit. “Tristan, please forget it.” “Forget it?!” He snapped, jerking to his feet and lettin

“Tristan,” I sighed and hunched over, staring at my toes. I was confused; different thoughts were running through my head. Could Tristan possibly find anything about me before being the me I am right now? “You still don’t have anything to say, right?” Tristan still sounded really pissed off.  “Tristan, you don’t understand,” I said in almost a whisper.  “Then make me understand!” I shut my eyes as tears resumed rolling down my cheeks.  “Gosh, Hazel.” He groaned before rising to his feet.  “Tristan, please.” I raised my head to him.  His eyes softened, obviously because he noticed the tears in my eyes. “What’s the point of these tears? What’s keeping you from speaking? What is wrong? What are you hiding?”  I tried to at least say something, but more tears stopped me from uttering anything.  “Excuse me?” We

~ HAZEL ~ Squinting my eyes, I stretched my arms out with a yawn. It soon felt as though my head had been hit with a large block, but it was only a headache.  “Shit,” I held the side of my head, groaning. “Why did I have to drink so much?”  “Exactly! You threw up in my car.” Tristan’s voice made me snap awake completely. I jerked to sit up straight, staring at him like he was a burglar trying to steal my bra or something. When did he get here? How did I arrive home last night? “What’s wrong with you?” He asked, holding back a smile.  “Why… you… aren’t… I thought… what hap—”  “Jeez, calm down.” He placed his laptop on the nightstand and shifted closer to me. ”What? Why do you look so surprised?” “It’s—” He wrapped his arms around my waist, causing me to flinch.  “What’s wrong with you?”

“Wh–what do you mean?” Ian stuttered as his hands began to quiver. “Not mine? You must be crazy.” “The only crazy one here is you. Now stay away from me and my child!” She pushed him to the floor.  “You can’t leave me like this, Indy.” He grabbed her hand, quickly rising to his feet. “There’s no way this isn’t our child. We planned this baby together. Something is definitely wrong with you. You’re running crazy. Where’s my sweetheart? Where’s the angel I know?”  “She’s dead.” She yanked her hand from his grip and started walking in my direction.  I quickly hid behind a wall before she could see me, then took to my heels, heading to my car.  “Where did you go? I was starting to get really worried,” Mike said, as soon as I got to the car.  “Let’s return.” I was panting from running.  “What happened?” Sherri asked, looking concerned.

“Oh… what’s that? Is there a toy model of my husband or something?” I quirked an eyebrow at her, hoping to convey the message that she wasn’t making any sense.  “No, Hazel.” She replied through gritted teeth. “I want Tristan back. Don’t you remember he was mine before I decided to give him to you?”  “Is this Tristan you speak of an object? I can help you search for a tristan.” “This isn’t funny at all. I’m not kidding, Hazel. I want Tristan back as mine. Tristan Shane Hendrix. I don’t know what you’ll do or how you'll do it, but you have to return what's mine back to me.” I paused, peering into her sky blue eyes for a while, before throwing my head back to laugh uncontrollably.  “I’m being dead serious here. Nothing is funny at all.” She clenched her fists, not bothering to hide her frustration.  I just couldn't stop myself from laughing; tears started rolling down
